03/03/2026: The place has Grilled in it’s name, but the kebab I received was not grilled at all. It literally tasted like the meat had been pulled out of water. When I walked in, there was no meat on the rotating grill, which should have been my first warning sign. I ignored it because the reviews were good and the photos looked decent. They asked if I wanted spicy. I said yes. There was absolutely nothing spicy about it. The sauce tasted like plain yogurt mixed with water. The meat was pale, watery, and as i’ve mentioned had the texture of something boiled rather than grilled. There were also couple of bits of cartilage in the meat, which made it even worse. The color was brownish gray, and honestly I am not even sure what kind of meat it was. I could not tell if it was chicken or lamb, and no one clarified it to me. They told me to sit down, so I didn’t see how the food was prepared. I have no idea if they grilled it, fried it, or just heated it in water. What I received was far from what I consider a proper kebab. For 6 euros, the portion was mid and definitely not worth the price. Overall, very low quality food. The staff was fine and polite, but I am extremely disappointed with what I received to eat.

05/03/2026: The location is good, but that’s unfortunately the only positive thing. We paid €16 for two cappuccinos and two very small desserts, which is extremely overpriced. We have visited many cafés across Sicily and this was by far the most expensive coffee and dessert we had, usually we paid about a third of this price for something similar or even better. The quality did not justify the price at all. Overall, very poor value for money.

09/01/2026: We only went here because the famous Fiasconaro next doors was closed and ended up paying 10 € for two coffees, two small crostatine and a bottle of water. Very disappointing considering that Castelbuono besides that only gave us incredible experiences. The extra star only because the man serving us was kind.

13/03/2026: Excellent lunch with fresh seafood and vegetables. We had a lot of different plates wanted to taste everything, the portions were huge and food was great

09/03/2026: The food is mediocre, swordfish very dry, for the mixed fried fish is mainly just small fish under the prawns which isnt particularly tasty. Octopus was not great Sardines ball not good at all. Also there was an issue with billing, so please be aware and check your bill.

14/08/2025: Stop for lunch. Appetizers: fish, seafood salad, mussels First courses: all seafood, spaghetti with clams, risotto. Second courses: fresh fish and fried foods. Wine, water, coffee, liqueurs. Excellent lunch, excellent location and service.

18/12/2025: Terrible food, they can fool poor foreign tourists. Squalid and anonymous place, the woman behind the counter is rude and absent. We poisoned ourselves with two arancini, burnt on the outside with lousy oil and dry on the inside, without any sauce. The best at Famulari in Messina. Shame!

04/10/2025: (2) Where should I begin? 1. The accommodation consists of several bungalows within a complex designed for events. For example, weddings. The description doesn't mention this. There's a bar or something like that on the complex grounds. This bar plays music and hosts karaoke. And here's the situation: it's Thursday, midnight. The music is blaring. The bar patrons are screaming. And the guests have to listen to it. Until two in the morning. The complex management didn't respond to our attempts to contact them afterward! This was so infuriating that we decided to leave that very night. Even though we booked four nights, we only stayed two. No one responded to our messages. Not even Booking. We left. 2. The house smells damp. You can feel the dampness. There's no sign of a foundation, no ventilation either. Our clothes reeked, our suitcase reeked. The sheets felt damp, not fully dried. Disgusting 3. There were two plugs for three people! The WiFi in the house doesn't work, only somewhere near the restaurant (which isn't open) and somewhere near the entrance. So, you have to run around the premises looking for a signal. There was no liquid soap either, and the dispenser was empty. We wrote to the owner about this. He promised to fix it the next day. Nothing happened. 4. There's no trash can. Nowhere. None. Not in the kitchen, not in the bathroom, not on the terrace. We noticed this while a staff member was walking around. We asked about the trash can. He said there wasn't one and gave us a 120-liter bag. The kind for outdoor trash cans. So, where should we put it or hang it? It's also unclear. It was just lying on the floor. 5. The drain in the shower is so bad that the shower instantly filled with water, and everything was leaking into the bathroom. I barely had time to rinse the shampoo out of my hair before the water was already running into the kitchen. There are no shelves in the shower either. You have to put all your toiletries either on the floor or on the toilet lid. 6. The grounds are completely open. The gates don't lock at night. There are no staff members either. You're alone. And somewhere along the fence, people are walking. It's creepy and terrifying.

07/09/2025: Unfortunately, we can't give 0 stars, otherwise we would have given it a star!!! Very dirty place that's clearly not worth the price! Unsanitary cottages full of damp! Smells that made you vomit! The pool was in a pitiful state! And no goodwill gesture was made even though we rented three cottages and all three had a problem! The toilet is always clogged, the bathroom too. You flush the toilet and the pee comes back up through the bathroom. There's really nothing wrong with it! Mold on the walls. As an asthmatic, I had major problems, but once again, the owner didn't care! If you want to have a great vacation, this is clearly not the place to go!! Avoid!!!
