02/01/2026: New Year's Eve Lunch (5 appetizers, 2 first courses, 1 second course, dessert, panettone, and sparkling wine, €55 excluding drinks): - I'll start with the end: at our table, the dessert ("Tart filled with lemon cream, raspberry jelly, flambéed meringue, and shortcrust pastry crumble") wasn't served until we were prompted (at other tables, the panettone was already being served). It was then presented to us in a completely different (and poor) form than described on the menu (instead of lemon cream, the tart was filled with extremely runny strawberry yogurt, no flambéed meringue, and no crumbled shortcrust pastry). After that, we received neither the panettone nor the sparkling wine (the waitress's statement was, "We've finished everything.") - Going back to the previous point, the dishes served, in most cases, did not reflect what was stated on the menu (usually one or two ingredients listed on the menu were actually missing; e.g., "Crostone with broccoli stew, black olives from the farm and Nebrodi black pig, melted tuma cheese, and toasted pine nuts" was essentially bruschetta with stewed broccoli and tuma cheese); - Salt was completely missing from all the dishes (I find this unacceptable; don't talk to me about healthy eating); - The pappardelle (with walnut cream) were completely undercooked (it needed at least another 3 minutes); - A 20-30 minute wait between each course (even between the five appetizers, served individually). Lunch started at 1:30 PM and ended at 5:30 PM (no dessert, no sparkling wine, no coffee); It's the first time I've left a restaurant feeling NOT full, and we paid €60 each. Expectations were high (unfortunately, they weren't met), too many mistakes at once, and I can't recommend the place. Finally, your responses to reviews (especially the negative ones) fully demonstrate your disregard for customers and your lack of desire to improve (in these cases, one can only apologize, as the owner verbally did, by the way).

27/12/2025: Went with friends for lunch. A charming place, excellent dishes with refined flavors, very friendly and helpful staff. You can choose between the à la carte menu or the tasting menu. I chose an appetizer, a first course, and a second course, which I split for €50. Money well spent for the culinary experience.

21/03/2026: A hidden gem near Etna. An exceptional and authentic restaurant with warm and welcoming staff. The food was phenomenal. Fresh mussels, fragrant bread, seafood linguine, and scampi. The swordfish was perfectly prepared, as was the fried calamari and salad. The dessert was divine and I absolutely must have the recipe. We also purchased delicious prosciutto and top-quality baked goods for our trip. The staff is very attentive. You feel truly welcome. "A Maidda" is one of the best restaurants in the area. Warmth, intense flavors, simply wonderful. A place where you don't just eat, you feel truly welcome. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality and exceptional food. We are from Germany.

01/03/2026: A very negative experience. During my stay, I found a bowl of pet food near my door and a cat roaming freely throughout the property. I'm allergic to food, and this caused a reaction that required me to take medication to help. Furthermore, the hotel's official website makes no mention of the presence of animals on the property: crucial information for those like me who suffer from allergies, which could have influenced my decision to book. I reported the issue to management, who removed the bowl and the cat, but refused any form of refund despite the inconvenience caused. A hotel should ensure a safe environment for all guests and, at the very least, be transparent in the information provided. I will not return and I do not recommend this hotel.

08/02/2026: Very kind staff. Terrible owners. We asked if we could have dinner, but by changing our plans upon our arrival, they forced us to pay for a dinner we never ate. They were extremely rude and even made things difficult for the staff. Terrible structure. Money-hungry and not at all friendly. Absolutely not recommended.

25/01/2026: Excellent experience. The pizzas are delicious, with a variety of doughs and a wide selection of top-quality ingredients. Desserts for all tastes; I highly recommend the cream pie with strawberries and cream puffs, delicious! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming and very comfortable.

26/12/2025: A truly excellent experience. Besides the quality of the food, I really appreciated the kindness of the staff, who were attentive and helpful. At my request, they even prepared an off-menu dish for me, which was meticulously prepared and truly delicious. It's rare to find such genuine customer service. I will definitely be back and recommend it without hesitation.

12/10/2025: The food quality was extremely poor. I'm not talking about personal taste, but rather quality. The risotto was extremely salty and inedible. The dessert, which was advertised as semifreddo pistachio, was actually pistachios with a little ricotta. It was completely inedible. Being celiac, I was only able to eat half of what was on my table, as if there were no gluten-free options on the market... truly embarrassing.

07/10/2025: What a beautiful spot on the road to Etna. Wonderfully peaceful, surrounded by nature, with a forest nearby for walking. It felt almost magical, especially with the view. 🏔️ Great staff and a changing menu every evening with delicious food.

25/02/2026: The food was delicious and aesthetically pleasing. I had the fish and it was incredibly fresh. The service was quick and impeccable, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the renovated location was beautiful. I personally couldn't find any flaws and highly recommend it.

16/10/2025: Great traditional Sicilian / Italian food with emphasis on seafood. Pizzas only on Saturday and Sunday. Easy access and parking out front.
