13/06/2026: Before the ferry to Civitavecchia, I was looking for a non-touristy pizza by the slice. A Sardinian blog mentioned Al Ciclope pizza, and we tried it:
- Quick and friendly.
- The place is small but has shelves and a few stools; outside, there are plastic tables and chairs.
- Only one type of pizza: Margherita! And that's it! You heard right: pizza sold by the slice, each for €1.80.
Only Margherita, with a black olive on each slice.
Good, hot, crispy, worth a try.

We had a wonderful time celebrating a friend's birthday.
24/10/2025: What an incredible dinner! Every dish at Mattacchione was a little surprise - creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You can feel the passion behind each plate, from the seafood dishes to the amazing desserts that looked (and tasted) like art.
The team is super kind and professional, and they make you feel completely at home even in such a refined setting.
The tasting menu was a real journey through Sardinia in a modern, elegant way.
The wine pairing was excellent too, the Venas “Abal’Apà” matched perfectly with the food.
Definitely one of the best dining experiences in Olbia. Highly recommended if you love food that’s both creative and made with heart.

20/05/2026: My wife had gluten free Culurgiones, stuffed with cheese in a tomato sauce. Also came with gluten free sardinia bread. I can confirm she was very happy.
I had a traditional lasagne, also very nice.
Menu also had gluten free pizzas, and vegan alternatives.
Very attentive staff, enjoyed our visit.

08/07/2026: A must-visit when we arrive in Sardinia. The staff is cheerful and professional. The food is impeccable, both in the flavor combinations and the presentation. A top rating (like every year). My favorite is the risotto, paired with a good wine.

30/05/2026: We arrived at 9pm. To make a long story short, it took 2 hours from the starter to the first course. They brought us the first course at 11pm. The kitchen was not at all organised. The food was poor.

The service is efficient and attentive...despite the "hefty" bill, I'll give this place another chance...if only for Marco Predolin's friendliness!

01/07/2026: Absolutely avoidable. Four of us arrived at 8:00 PM. We waited two hours for two pizzas, and one was small and poorly made. The other two dishes never arrived, and we left at 10:20 PM. They had the nerve to charge us for the drinks and the two pizzas instead of apologizing for ruining our evening.
27/06/2026: We absolutely loved it! We stumbled upon it quite by chance, and we were so glad we did! The service was top-notch, the place was adorable, and the food was delicious with excellent value for money.
We found ourselves surrounded by locals, a sure sign of a great place… 10/10!

18/05/2026: Very disappointed! We opted for the tasting menu at €65 per person. The dishes were very small and tasteless (except for the cod fritters). Some were even inedible, like the tuna in soy sauce. A bottle of wine was ordered at a different price than what was listed on the menu. I had stomach pains during the night... It's a shame because the hotel itself was quite decent. We ended up paying over €186... really too expensive for what it was!
We received a 10% discount because my card wasn't charged at the time of payment due to staff issues.
The hotel called me countless times and treated me like I was dishonest... A truly terrible experience.
17/05/2026: Fabio, the waiter, was attentive, offered good advice, and was very pleasant. Discreet and smiling without being intrusive. Impeccable service.

07/07/2026: This place was one of the highlights of our trip to Sardegna!! Every single thing we ordered was absolutely phenomenal. The bruschetta, cozze, fregola, and carbonara were all bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. We paired everything with wine, a Negroni, and a beer, and every drink was just as impressive as the food.
A special shoutout to Davide, who made our experience even more memorable. He was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and gave us outstanding service from start to finish.
If you’re looking for authentic food, amazing drinks, and exceptional hospitality, don’t miss this place. We would come back in a heartbeat and can’t recommend it enough!

02/05/2026: I live in La Maddalena, and on May 1st, my family and I went to the Assaggio restaurant, based on the excellent reviews on the website.
We had lunch with a mix of mussels, first courses, and second courses.
What can I say...SUPERLATIVE...
You can smell the sea and taste the excellent quality of the ingredients.
The place is very welcoming, spotlessly clean, and beautiful.
The staff is very kind and friendly.
Mrs. Lilli is very nice and kind.
It was a fantastic discovery at the Assaggio restaurant.
I highly recommend it.
We'll definitely be back.
