A splendid evening was spent at La Cavallerizza in Ginosa, on the occasion of the “Guest a tutto Gin” event. A lively and refined atmosphere, made special by the mastery of Emanuele Russo, who took us on a journey with gins inspired by the aromas and flavors of the Caribbean, mixed with passion and expertise.
What made the experience even more pleasant was Alessandro Sorino's music: a refined, warm and enveloping background, strictly in vinyl, capable of elegantly accompanying every sip.
Thanks also go to Giuseppe, the host, for his sincere hospitality and warm welcome. A place to live, an event to remember. Well done everyone!

29/03/2025: Terrible service. Biblical expectations entered at 9.30pm, pizza received at 11.30pm. An abnormal amount of chips. I understand Saturday evenings but a much better organization would be needed compared to the previous management. Pizzas burnt all on the edges. I haven't been there since this summer but the problems are still there 🆘😪. I don't know, we'll see the bill soon 🤐🤐🤐
05/01/2025: We happened upon it by chance and also at the last moment but, we were welcomed and pampered until our departure, by Angelo (the owner) who showed us the beauties, the flavors and the history of his land. Splendid structure, convenient parking just outside the city but, we like it that way, excellent food in the restaurant/pizzeria with wood oven inside the structure, more comfortable than this 😋🤗

Edit: it was a Monday, we were there from 4pm to 4:30pm, returning at 5pm. The Monday before we found it open. We obviously checked the hours.

01/05/2025: Arriving at 8.10pm they tell us that they are making the panzerotti at the moment they don't have any ready... perfect there were two tables of four... with us but a group of 8 people came in behind.... and others who joined later in addition to the takeaway.... at 8.30pm we ask and they tell us that they are "in progress" :( at 9.00pm we are still waiting for two panzerotti to eat immediately and two to take away.... all while they have been all the other tables that arrived later were served.....you tell me how much you give to the service!...
I don't rate the food since we don't know what these panzerotti were like... we left!!!
05/04/2025: We tried 4 different cafes in our time in town and this one was by far the favourite. It feels like walking into your grandma’s kitchen with so many little treats. We had a coffee/pastry for breakfast, lasagna for lunch and assortment of delicious local dishes for dinner. Everything was excellent and well priced. It is very small inside and not fancy, but clean. Don’t go here if you are looking for your next instagram photo or fast service. Go here if you appreciate great local food and are willing to take the time to enjoy it in a quaint cafe.

03/03/2025: La location è stupenda, ma dovrebbero curare di più la gestione del personale ed i cibi. Davvero un peccato che una struttura come quella delle Vele debba avere un punteggio così basso. Se fossi io il gestore, farei salti mortali pur di aggiungere almeno un pallino verde alle valutazioni

21/04/2025: I make this review as constructive criticism, hoping it helps improve.
The food is good but the restaurant suffers from the same disease that the whole town of Ginosa Marina suffers from. Excellent potential but little exploited. Very 90s, both in style and management. The food is good but honestly on a day of celebration, with a fixed menu and advance reservations, you would expect organization to be a little faster and more efficient.
I hope to go back and change my mind

Macelleria Rosticceria Vito Ribecco

11/05/2025: Ribecco è una macelleria con annesso uno stanzone, illuminato da luce artificiale, che fa da osteria.
L'accoglienza è sempre truce e priva di sorrisi, è evidente che la ristorazione non è il loro campo.
Nonostante la location triste e i musi lunghi, da Ribecco, se non prenoti, rischi di non trovare posto.
Veniamo al cibo.
Gli antipasti caserecci sono veramente eccezionali e vari, di gran lunga più gustosi dei soliti copia e incolla serviti di solito in altri locali. Sono originali e di ottima qualità.
La carne è strepitosa e cotta magistralmente. Il titolare stesso, persona lunatica, che alterna simpatia con modi bruschi, la serve al tavolo su di una piastra di pietra lavica bollente. La taglia lui stesso e la impiatta. Consiglio la picanha, che però va ordinata al momento della prenotazione.
Il conto è onesto
04/03/2025: All'apparenza una braceria come tante altre, ma alla fine non credo che riuscirò a mangiare carne in altri luoghi con lo stesso gusto piacere genuinità dei sapori e qualità eccellente provati in questo luogo.
Ci tornerò a breve con amici.
