07/08/2024: Found by chance for a simple aperitif and a platter of local cheeses and sausages, we discovered a small and welcoming terrace overlooking the ancient roofs of Monte Sant'Angelo! The wine shop is a real "gem" with refined wines carefully selected by the owner who demonstrates passion and great competence! His wife Antonella welcomes customers with great elegance and simplicity in a well-furnished and elegant room! Highly recommended not to be missed! Marco inessa and Michele

09/10/2024: We discovered this place last year, a few steps from the Basilica, while we were visiting Monte Sant'Angelo. We took the paposce, hot from the oven, with different fillings, excellent. next Saturday we will return to Monte Sant'Angelo and we will return to taste other products which seemed excellent. Friendly and pleasant staff. Small but welcoming place, you can eat on the spot. See you soon

02/01/2025: Partly negative experience with problems with the hot water boiler in our chalet and which forced us to remain without hot water (fortunately only one day) on New Year's Eve and the following day, creating a lot of inconvenience for the whole family family. Gorgeous location. Superior cuisine and table service. Elegant setting. Too bad about that big problem.

29/12/2024: 1. Infrastructure 2. Services 3. Location - so as to provide the most honest description of the services offered by the 4-star hotel. a room starting from 130 euros per night. . 1. The property is located in the heart of the forest. The rooms are minimalist and without too many frills, but large. even though we had only traveled with two backpacks, we actually felt a little affected by the lack of more surfaces on which to place our luggage. The room only had a suitcase rack and the small wardrobe present only offered the possibility of using coat hangers. Furthermore, the presence of only one chair and no armchairs made it very difficult to stay in the room to enjoy the winter forest from the window at night. Added to this is the lack of a common area on the ground floor dedicated to rest or recreation where you can enjoy the surrounding landscapes from the large windows (there is a bar area with tables and chairs, but no armchairs, rest areas, etc.). We did not receive courtesy bottles of water in the room. Overall a 3/5. We were unable to fully enjoy the hotel's interior. . 2. Services. Specifically, the catering, to put it bluntly, was terrible. We had lunch and breakfast in the hotel. Lunch: we call reception to confirm restaurant opening. Having received confirmation, we show up in the restaurant area where the waiter immediately informs us that the restaurant, hosting a celebration, cannot offer much given that the ingredients are all dedicated to the celebration. Aside from asking ourselves why we say that the restaurant is open when we are told that there isn't much to offer, we still ask if there is a menu to consult. The waiter confirms that there is no menu but he can describe the dishes available. Among those described, we trust ourselves in ordering meat cannelloni and a fried mushroom-based pizza. Cannelloni: these are literally three small rolls of puff pastry filled with a horse sausage and moistened with two touches of oil. To be truthful, the dish without even trying it was ridiculous for the mere connotation of a pasta first course. Clearly, the chef was forced to prepare something without the necessary raw materials, given that the celebration certainly left no room for other dishes. Fried pizza with mushrooms was in other words what we call in Puglia a “focaccia” with mozzarella inside, bathed in tomato sauce and with some mushrooms on top. Now, on our side, having understood the attempt to keep the guests happy even if the kitchen was totally unprepared, we ate without making any complaints. However, the side of lack of intellectual honesty arose when checking the receipt: 20 euros for the first course and 14 euros for the starter (fried pizza). Now, to clarify, that same evening we had dinner at a Gambero Rosso restaurant and a first course of pasta that was literally phenomenal in terms of preparation and ingredients did not exceed 14 euros. An appetizer was 8. Now, for the food received the ticket was pure speculation. When we pointed this out to the hotel manager, we only found statements like "that's a typical size of a plate of pasta" "the restaurant was overloaded with the celebration (but then why communicate that it was open?!!)" and no type of attention to the customer. We didn't want to insist but the lunch was literally forgettable and the prices were speculative for the quality received. Same story for breakfast: clearly old and hard bread, two spoons of oats in a bowl, croissant at least a day old, cheap toast. 1/5. Terrible. . . 3. Location: the Umbrian forest remains a natural jewel and the location of the hotel a 5/5. . we recommend staying in nearby locations with satisfactory treatment and value for money. Despite the potential, the treatment received in the restaurant and the lack of customer care do not allow us to describe the experience as positive.

25/11/2024: Abbiamo mangiato bene, Servizio curato e personale disponibile. Ci hanno anche preparato pietanze espresse fuori menù, come da nostri particolari richieste. Ed al momento del conto sorpresa positiva: la grigliata di carne il cui punto di cottura non era di nostro gradimento, non c’è stata conteggiata. Che dire? ..Molto professionali, corretti e disponibili, grazie a tutto lo staff!

02/01/2025: Partiamo da una tavolata imperiale, addobbata di tutto punto con lucine candele e gadget natalizi che fanno "casa e calore". Dall'antipasto ai primi e secondi rigorosamente freschissimi, tutto presentato a tavola come nei film, impeccabili coreografie curati nella forma e soprattutto nella qualità e nel sapore, servito con garbo professionalità e tanta simpatia. Personale preparato accogliente ed estremamente gentile. Proprietario e staff al seguito davvero disponibili e generosi, accontentando ogni nostra richiesta. Personalmente siamo rimasti molto colpiti e non possiamo non ringraziarli per tutto quanto.

15/12/2024: The place is beautiful only because it is next to the sanctuary, the place is beautiful but the service if I could I wouldn't even give it one star. Staff disqualified in the sense that they adopt the policy that you pay first and you are not served, truly speechless, obviously for the rest of the customers they consumed first and then, I would say discriminatory as a policy, I had the aperitif at the table but I had to get up to get the glasses and amazing appetizers.....despite everything I went away saying goodbye without replying compliments, I would say it's not a nice business card for Monte Sant'Angelo which I love so much 🙏
