06/04/2026: We went to the Medioevo Restaurant in Monte Sant'Angelo, and I have to say it was a truly unforgettable experience. You can immediately sense that this is a zero-mile restaurant where the ingredients are the absolute protagonist. We started with spectacular fava beans and chicory, with extraordinary fava beans and a truly top-notch chicory, accompanied by a platter of top-quality local cured meats and cheeses, each one more delicious than the last. You can tell the chef has thirty years of experience, because he truly knows how to pamper his guests. For our first course, we had ravioli filled with local ricotta and porcini mushrooms from Gargano, which were out of this world. For our second course, we opted for local lamb, which was exceptional, both the grilled one with the flavorful liver rolls and the lamb cooked with potatoes and vegetables, which was incredibly tender. We finished on a high note with desserts, also made by the chef, including a creamy tiramisu, ricotta and chocolate tarts with jam, and the famous almond-filled wafer served in a beautiful composition. It is an excellent restaurant that I recommend with my eyes closed to anyone looking for true quality.

03/05/2026: Li Jalantuùmene is a hidden gem. A high end restaurant with a fixed menu based on fresh local and organic in season ingredients, it offers a beautiful culinary experience. I enjoyed being introduced to the flavors of Puglia and specifically from the Monte Sant’Angelo area. Each course added more flavors and notes that complimented one another. It was a joy to meet and engage with the chef.

06/04/2026: Wonderful experience, excellent food, clean environment, helpful and courteous staff. We had Easter lunch with a set menu. I'd like to make a very important point: due to a renovation, I had to change the menu, and I was able to accommodate this request thanks to Michele and his staff, who are attentive to every customer's needs. If I could give more, I'd add more stars. Kind regards, Dora and family.
30/03/2026: A wonderful experience: a delicious lunch in a clean setting, run by a very helpful and friendly owner. Excellent appetizers, generous portions. Delicious pasta (they've even won a few awards for their organic pasta), exceptional Apulian bread. Everything was perfect, right in front of the sanctuary. We'll definitely be back.

The indoor dining room is small but welcoming.
The service is young and helpful.
I would have expected a wider selection of typical Monte Sant'Angelo dishes, as the mountain cuisine is top-notch! The wine list is also very comprehensive.

07/04/2026: We went on Easter Monday, and near the church of San Michele, this bar was offering a set menu for just over €20. We were hesitant at first, but then we decided to go for it, and we were pleasantly surprised. The pasta was truly excellent, the grilled meat with salad and decent fries was also delicious, and my wife had the grilled caciocavallo cheese, which was also good. We also had wine and water, and a dessert to finish. Go there if you want something quick and easy, and then go for a stroll.

17/03/2026: A few years ago, I dined at this "restaurant," located in a location that would suggest a well-maintained establishment worthy of its surroundings. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but positive.
The service was extremely slow: extremely long waits even to order and receive the food. This wait wouldn't even be a problem if it were compensated by good food, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
The quality of the food was decidedly poor for a restaurant. I'm not talking about inedible dishes, but it was certainly far below the expectations one would have when entering a restaurant in that location. The flavors were lacking, and the dishes seemed carelessly prepared.
Considering the location and the potential of the place, it was a huge disappointment. I truly hope they've improved both the service and the quality of the food over time, because my experience was far from satisfactory.
08/01/2026: Something different. A lovely restaurant with good food. Great atmosphere and a good selection of wine and other items. I'd gladly come again.

31/01/2026: A perfect stop at Ristoro degli Angeli, right near Monte Sant'Angelo Castle and ample parking, is a great option after visiting the village.
The restaurant is spacious and welcoming, with a simple, friendly atmosphere.
The cuisine offers well-prepared and authentic Apulian dishes: we appreciated the authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent quality. The staff, especially the very kind Maria Pia, was invaluable and available to offer advice, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Excellent value for money. Recommended for anyone looking for good food in a strategic location while visiting the city!
We will definitely be back!

05/05/2026: We stopped by chance, reading the €20 tourist menu in the window.
Italian-style appetizer: orecchiette with turnip tops, grilled caciocavallo cheese, and mixed salad (all good).
A quaint place, but it's a shame about the strong draft between the kitchen door and the main door. Strong odors waft from the kitchen, permeating your clothes. The young staff is friendly and polite. It's nice to see smart people doing their job well.
After lunch, they might offer to buy local products at a discount from their bakery, given the amount of food consumed at their restaurant (like bread from Monte Sant'Angelo), but, alas, it's cheaper elsewhere and it seems to be just a resale. That's a shame.
Otherwise, it's worth it.
