05/01/2026: I don't know how it gets such high reviews! Orecchiette with turnip tops floating in the water, all you could taste was the anchovy! Grilled vegetables full of garlic and terrible caciocavallo podolico cheese. Not to mention the coffee, undrinkable! I couldn't digest the orecchiette and was sick all afternoon!! Nope!

Courteous and friendly service
I thank Giovanni and Gianmarco who welcomed us and guided us through our selection of dishes, suggesting their specialties while respecting our tastes and needs.
I recommend it to anyone visiting Monte Sant'Angelo.

We were welcomed with kindness and extreme professionalism, and the typical food was well-prepared and truly delicious.
Everything was perfect.
Not only will we definitely be back, but I'd recommend it to everyone!!!
08/01/2026: Nice restaurant. Totally quaint and stuffy. Oh well. If that's your thing. The service was incredibly unfriendly, and after 20 minutes of no contact, we left. No waiter. No reaction. No clue. 🤷♀️

24/12/2025: The food will definitely be good, considering we arrived for lunch last Friday and it was closed.
When we called, they told us they hadn't updated the hours on Google, and we found ourselves without lunch in a rather remote and abandoned town with no other options. We had to settle for the only place open nearby, where the food was also bad.
Very bad for a restaurant recommended in the famous Michelin guide.
Not to mention a Google profile for a hotel when it should be a restaurant. I'm sorry, it's part of the terrible customer service, and these are details that shouldn't be overlooked.
I hope they correct this attitude and pay more attention to updating customers, especially since, given where I am, I plan my visit, so I don't drop by randomly. I don't think we'll be back.

03/08/2025: Pranzo di alto livello sia per i piatti ricercati e molto buoni, sia per l’attenzione e la gentilezza del cameriere che ci ha servito. Mangiare all’esterno del ristorante ti riconnette con la natura. Prezzi giusti per il tipo di cucina che viene proposta.

A wide variety of savory dishes (Neapolitan pizza, potato croquettes, fried pizza, pasta frittatas, rice balls, etc.) and sweets. The Neapolitan nuvole are delicious.

The indoor dining room is small but welcoming.
The service is young and helpful.
I would have expected a wider selection of typical Monte Sant'Angelo dishes, as the mountain cuisine is top-notch! The wine list is also very comprehensive.

12/02/2026: While visiting the cave, we stopped at the only nearby bar. The place is very beautiful and tastefully decorated, but unfortunately, we were served by rude and uninterested staff, and the cleanliness left much to be desired.
We also enjoyed some over-the-counter products that were days old and, unfortunately, very expensive given the quality.
It's a shame because the place has so many resources, but they're not being exploited: a place with so much potential deserves more attentive and professional management, capable of enhancing it rather than penalizing it.
20/12/2025: Next to the Basilica of Sant'Angelo, a delightful café in a pleasant setting, with a well-decorated lounge on the second floor, a varied menu, snacks, savory pastries, desserts and drinks, served with good service. Prices are full price.

18/11/2025: We had a tourist menu for 35 people. The food was adequate for the price, good, and served by very kind waitresses. The location is strategic, right next to the parking lot and just steps from the basilica. I highly recommend it.

09/10/2025: The place is small and there's only one bathroom for both men and women. The menu was very disappointing; the first courses were bland, and the second courses were minimal (there was a small sausage, a tiny piece of meat, and a tiny piece of lamb).
25/09/2025: We stopped to eat the tourist menu for 20 euros, terrible quality of products, inedible first courses and poor quality roast...absolutely avoid...years ago it was decent...now it's awful
