15/06/2025: Modern and welcoming location, rich menu and first choice raw materials, the quality is truly top notch. The meat was truly excellent, both in quality and cooking, I highly recommend it. Only one flaw, but in my opinion recoverable: the service, not at the level of the location, too many times we had to call the waiters for water, cutlery and napkins, with some forgetting the orders. To be seen again, but it is something that can be easily recovered, because the place deserves a lot! Recommended for a dinner with friends, corporate or even romantic!

27/05/2025: I hadn't booked, I was alone, but they still found me a place to stay. I enjoyed the small entrée of pappa al pomodoro, the average spaghetti allo scoglio, the calamari alla Maltese (mistakenly indicated alla massese on the menu) are fabulous! The rest of the menu is still all to be discovered for me.... I will definitely return, I recommend it... A special mention to the bread, delicious (the owner told me that it is their own production... The room is slightly noisy when the place is full (obviously) Clean and tidy bathrooms, small parking lot adjacent to the entrance... Seating also outside (but on the roadside)

A big compliment to the kitchen for that. Unfortunately, our stay today on the last evening was massively marred by the behavior of the receptionist. The lady was extremely unfriendly, rude, and unpleasant, even making derogatory remarks about us in Italian – apparently assuming we wouldn't understand. For a hotel in this price range, that's a complete impertinence and simply unacceptable. We didn't feel comfortable at dinner, which is a shame, as we were actually looking forward to a pleasant end to our stay. This kind of treatment of guests should not occur – especially not in a hotel that prides itself on quality and hospitality. We stayed at Hotel Il Porto in Matinata for several days – the property is beautiful and the food is absolutely top-notch, truly high quality. A big compliment to the kitchen for that. Unfortunately, our stay was severely overshadowed on the last evening by the behavior of the receptionist. For a hotel in this price range, this is a disgraceful and completely unacceptable attitude. We no longer felt comfortable during dinner, which is a real shame, as we had been looking forward to a nice ending to our stay. Such treatment of guests should not happen – especially not in a place that claims to stand for quality and hospitality.
