What a lovely find in Calcinaia. We dined here last night and were impressed by the attention to detail in every single dish.
Everything we tasted was excellent. I especially loved the involtini served on a wooden board with that delicate creamy sauce on the side. The presentation is impeccable, and the flavor is truly authentic.
The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming. We will definitely return to try other specialties on the menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality dinner in the area.

A truly delightful surprise, far from the tourist traps! It's a bit of a detour, but absolutely worth it. We tried several dishes, and everything was excellent. The setting is magnificent, and the lovely, helpful staff made the experience even more enjoyable. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly authentic and refined culinary experience.

We tried everything from meat to fish, except the appetizers, unfortunately. Everything was very good, especially the peposo and the millefeuille dessert with Chantilly cream. The atmosphere was excellent, the service very pleasant. Finally, we were even offered a complimentary amaro.

Highly recommended!
If you're looking for a quiet place with excellent food and friendly service, it's absolutely worth it. We were in the Pisa area during a heatwave and wanted to get away from the main tourist spots. We found this restaurant thanks to the reviews, and it was a great choice from start to finish.
We were able to park right in front, which was a huge plus. The family who runs it made us feel at home from the very first moment. We were traveling with a 2-year-old, and that's not always easy, both logistically and because children aren't always equally welcome everywhere. Here, however, they treated him with so much care and even prepared a special pasta dish for him, not on the menu.
All the food was delicious, but two desserts deserve special mention: the tiramisu, made to order, was spectacular; and the mille-feuille was a pleasant surprise for someone who didn't want dessert.
They're such lovely people, the kind you're always happy to meet.

Wow, what a fantastic trattoria. It was one of the best fish soups we’ve ever had. Be sure to ask for the house speciality (it’s not on the menu). The friendly owner recommends the food!
There are hardly any tourists here and it’s authentic Italian cuisine! Highly recommended and a real hidden gem! We thoroughly enjoyed it!
Having just arrived from Pisa airport, we contacted them via WhatsApp and, even though it was late for their usual opening hours, they told us they would welcome us without any problem.
The service at La Antica Trattoria di Piero was exceptional from the very first moment. Federico gave us excellent advice on everything and made us feel right at home.
The homemade food was spectacular, a 10 out of 10, and he even recommended ordering the house wine to save money… and, like everything else, it was a total success.
A highly recommended place if you're looking for authenticity, good food, and friendly, honest service.

Highly recommended! We arrived directly from Pisa airport and were welcomed around 3 pm, and we were so lucky to have been able to eat there! The food was all delicious, from the appetizers to the main courses... Everything was outstanding. And what's more, all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were so lucky to have been able to eat there, thank you so much for everything!
