High quality of the fish, the octopus sandwich was excellent, the fried and raw dishes were good, the recommended sushi was also excellent. 21/01/2025: I absolutely recommend Gonia, if you want to eat a good Neapolitan pizza. Fresh, quality ingredients, friendly and fast service. Also excellent are the cuoppo meatballs, croquettes, arancini, all made by their expert hands. We will be back

12/01/2025: Lovely decor, warm reception, delicious bits of appetizers; excellent menu and wine list; superb food, both the local orecchiette (alla crudaiola) and ravioli with a fish filling. The owner is willing and able to speak English (though we weren't!) with travelers without Italian. Mesagne is a beautiful town to visit and stay over in--and the Leone is highly recommended.

20/12/2024: Pur vivendo a mesagne da tanti anni non avevo mai provato la loro piadina e non sapevo cosa mi perdevo! Piadina con impasto artigianale fatto al momento deliziosa, condimenti freschi e di buona qualità. Porzioni abbondanti e servizio cortese. Una bella scoperta!

04/01/2025: Superb surprise, pizzas are in the evening. But don't go there for pizza. The rest is much better. Fish, fresh, raw or cooked. Fresh dough. Tender meat and well accompanied. Quality wine. You have to go there, very nice surprise. The entrance is sad but the surprise is inside.

25/11/2024: At the butcher's counter I chose to have a famously tender and excellent quality "Rib Eye" steak roasted. At the table I received a "small steak" of a poor cut. When I complained, the waiter reacted with indifference. When I paid the owner, evidently informed by his waiter, avoided making any comments and with contemptuous indifference handed me the bill without saying a word. This is a scam!!!!
