04/04/2024: I had lunch following reviews but I was a little disappointed in the rustic setting the menu was hand written on greasy paper the staff were friendly The starter was good but poor the tajarin was poorly seasoned Castelmagno gnocchi the flavor was good but the gnocchi were overcooked the braised meat was a little fibrous the wine was excellent and the bitter sin of not having received the receipt, I will not return

01/04/2024: We had lunch with the "Sweet" tasting menu Good and right sized dishes. Service done by friendly staff. I would stay here again The photo is missing the plate of tajarin with ragù

01/04/2024: Historic place in Alba which over the years has been able to renew itself and welcome customers with constant availability. Attentive and punctual service, quality and varied menu. The only negative note is the reduced pizzas (baby) which have a 10% increase. Definitely worth trying and coming back!

31/03/2024: An excellent pizzeria but with a lot of "chapeau" for the delicious fish dishes. The pizzas are thin, Neapolitan style and pan-style with a choice of doughs. The desserts are wonderful, especially the creme brulee, but the mocha is certainly exceptional. The staff is fast, kind and professional. Prices normal. It's also quite easy to find parking.

17/03/2024: I love this place! Stumbled upon it my first time in Alba and make a point to visit every time I come back. They have truly craveable pastas, really reasonable local wines by the glass and carafe, and a slightly funky, fun atmosphere.

16/03/2024: Nice and very spacious place, friendly staff is prepared. Excellent homemade dishes with fresh, quality ingredients. the boiled meat is also very good. Always better to book. In my opinion service too fast.

05/04/2024: Wonderful little restaurant in the middle of Alba. Service and food were great and the steak was fantastic, cooked and seasoned perfectly.

09/03/2024: Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ordered two traditional menus with four courses each, a glass of wine, water = €107.50. Good dishes and portions. Service: ⭐️ wine by the glass, altered by probable poor storage (the bottle of Nebbiolo from which it was served was at the bottom) was acidic. Reported, the response was, in the exact words: "we don't do it, and taste is subjective.." Environment: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nice place in the center of Alba located entirely underground in the foundations of a historic structure. The fact that they are not responsible for the products they serve and the total lack of "good taste" in changing wine and counting it at the time of payment leads to assigning one star.

Superlative wine list and with a great staff always willing to advise you, also explaining the origin of the wine and its cellar. Absolutely the best place in Alba and surroundings. Top!

10/03/2024: Very nice place carefully furnished in vintage style. Frequented by a young clientele but also by families with children. We tried the dishes offered by the kitchen which did not offer much choice especially of first and second courses. The gnocchi with meat sauce, the only first course offered, had an acidic sauce while the baked meatballs were not fresh. While the baked potatoes were good and tasty. Definitely more recommended as a pub than as a place to dine. For the quality offered, the prices are high.

10/03/2024: Sono stata a cena con mio marito perché avevo letto tutte recensioni positive eppure mi rendo conto che si sono approfittati di noi, avevo fatto all’incirca due conti a mente e avremo speso sui 80€, abbiamo preso 3 antipasti, due primi e un secondo.. tutto davvero ottimo. Al momento del conto nel dettaglio dello scontrino trovo: 2 menu.. con un conto di 97€. Questa cosa per me è stata spiacevole. Bisogna sempre scrivere ciò che si prende, se non è così, bisogna dirlo al cliente.

30/04/2024: Lovely meal at the end of a long day’s travel from Nice to Alba. The owner’s brother-in-law was gracious and patient with our English. When he learnt we were visiting to go for a truffle hunt, he offered to add truffle shavings on my risotto at no additional cost. The local white wine was also a refreshing change. It felt like a real experience in a genuinely authentic Italian restaurant in a quiet suburb. Bravo!

21/04/2024: The location is not the best. Apart from this, the positive thing is that at least the water is nice and fresh... I'm sorry for the staff, who were kind and helpful, but I don't think I'll return in the future.

24/03/2024: Restaurant in the center of Alba, recommended to us by some friends. Very, for my taste, too formal service. Excellent tagliolini with white truffle, also good are the tajerin with Bra sausage ragù. Vitello tonnato good but with some nerves (I don't expect that in a place like this). The only thing that totally ruined dinner was the dessert: chestnut cake with cream and persimmon sauce. Unfortunately, the persimmon sauce had evidently and indisputably gone bad, completely fermented, spoiled. I obviously pointed this out to the waiter who, after so much formality, simply apologized and took the dish away without even taking it off the bill. Too bad for the lack of style and the serious mistake in the kitchen.

03/04/2024: Very good dishes, helpful and kind staff, wide choice of wines. Prices a little high, but due to the good quality of the products. Personally I tried the meat tartare with black truffle cream, the Castelmagno gnocchi and the bonet.
