Of all things, the most beautiful view and the beer.
24/10/2025: La Capriata is an excellent restaurant, with thoughtfully curated menus and wood-fired pizzas. We chose unusual dishes like smoked eel and confit veal cheek. The dishes are well presented, the food is excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The service is fast.
For lunch, the ground floor dining room is more pleasant, but for dinner, the attic room is perfect.
We will be back.

15/12/2025: Beautiful suite, the inn's history is evocative, a must-see for travelers in the 1700s. The renovation was well done and meticulously respectful of its history. The room is very spacious, warm, welcoming, and super clean. It has a kitchen for breakfast or other meals, and a bathroom with a shower. Free parking is available nearby. We had lunch, pre-ordering the saddle of venison. Delicious.

Had an excellent dining experience at Ristorante La Bicocca. The staff were super friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we walked in.
The pizza was delicious and freshly made, and the leek soup was full of flavour — both at a very reasonable price. Everything was served promptly and with genuine hospitality.
A great place to enjoy good food, friendly service, and excellent value for money. Highly recommend!

The warm atmosphere and impeccable service make you feel at the center of everything, even when the restaurant is full.
Chef Stefano and his quest for unique flavors ensured that we still remember every taste we experienced during the four days we ate there.
Raffaella always finds a way to help you find the wine you're looking for.
We'll do it again!

12/10/2025: We took a nice hike to the refuge, scenic and easy, and had lunch. The staff was friendly and quick, and the food was good and varied. Also recommended for family outings.
09/09/2025: The route is doable with a minimum of fitness. A few meters of slightly exposed trail are equipped with a chain to attach yourself to.
The manager and staff are friendly, helpful, and quick; if they forget something, just remind them...
The restrooms are also available to passers-by, free of charge. Water is also available to refill your water bottle.
We arrived at 11:30 a.m. and found the restrooms clean, with soap, toilet paper, and paper towels...

Hotel Chalet Il Capriolo

10/12/2025: First weekend of the year on the snow, hotel in an excellent location just steps from the ski lifts, a little dated but still very beautiful and characteristic, very friendly staff and the owner Athos always available and kind.
Parking reserved for guests outside the hotel.
Excellent restaurant with a wide selection (we were half-board and had 6 or 7 starters and main courses to choose from).
A well-stocked wine cellar at fair prices. The only downside is the rooms, clean and well-kept, but small and in need of a bit of modernization...
The bathroom is basic, although the lack of a bidet is a letdown, but the shower is quite spacious and comfortable.
In conclusion: I would return because it feels like "family," even if it's my first time there. Athos is very good and makes up for any small shortcomings with passion and dedication to the customer.
17/09/2025: We did not stay at the hotel, but came for a dinner. Large tasty dishes, good wine, professional and friendly staff.

18/10/2025: I went there several times with my wife and two children from 1990 to 1995, and it was our favorite restaurant. The food was excellent, and the owner was a bit unusual but very friendly. Then the children grew up, and we moved on to another vacation destination. We went again, with my wife, in 2003 or 2004, and the old owner wasn't there, but a young lady welcomed and served us, and we regretted not asking for the old owner...

25/12/2025: Stuck in the Middle Ages. On the evening of December 25th, my boyfriend and I went out to find a place to have dinner in a spooky and deserted Madesimo. We arrived at this completely DESERTED "restaurant" and asked for a table for two with a dog. They wouldn't let us sit because dogs aren't allowed. It's 2026. They probably lost their only customers of the evening, all because they wouldn't allow a dog. We travel everywhere with our puppy and have never been denied entry to a restaurant, anywhere in Italy. Madesimo was my entire childhood, but now I understand why it's become a completely ghost town; unfortunately, it's stuck in the 1940s.
25/12/2025: ABSURD! Just this evening, for Christmas dinner, my partner, our golden retriever, and I were looking for a place to eat.
The man at the door (rude and grumpy) told us we couldn't sit in his restaurant (EMPTY! After all, how could it be otherwise with someone like that?).
Look. Considering the collapse of this country and all its businesses closed in recent years, perhaps it's time to reconsider their policies, considering it's 2026, not 1912.
The gentleman at the front desk even laughed as we left, pleased with his umpteenth failure (given all the great reviews).
No big deal, because we're at MADE MIO, which is definitely better.

17/08/2025: 2 piadinas which were good overall, 2 beers and 2 coffees which were also good, but all for a total of €28 which is perhaps a bit high for two people and I would add another flaw: we didn't like the fact that dogs were not allowed.
20/07/2025: Rude and impolite, after ordering from them they made us leave the bar because we took a crepe from the shop opposite

24/02/2025: Incuriositi dalla location storica e dalle belle recensioni abbiamo prenotato qui nonostante un po’ di riluttanza per l’elevato costo della cena a menù fisso. La gentilezza è stata massima.abbiamo cenato nella Carducci che è bellissima. Arrivati pizzoccheri in abbondanza i migliori mai mangiati. Poi un mix di carni con porcini e polenta. Tutto buono. Infine abbiamo assaggiato 4 dolci ma per noi la pere e cioccolato è stata la migliore.
Tiramisù troppo pannoso, crostata un po’ crudina.
Lo consiglio assolutamente

21/02/2025: Recomendado por nuestro hotel tuvimos una experiencia mixta. La pizza estaba bien, todo lo demás, especialmente platos de carne, una decepción total. El personal era falso - amable. Después de tanta buena experiencia en Madesimo realmente un punto bajo en el viaje.
03/01/2025: Abbiamo mangiato una pizza molto buona e sciatt con slinzega molto gustosi. Ci hanno servito con tanta gentilezza e attenzione! Un’ottima esperienza.
