04/04/2024: I used to come here in the early 2000s, then after the change of management I hadn't come here for many years. Now I've had a couple of breakfasts and I must say, above all, I really like the external environment, the service and food are good and above all the two times I've been inside, I listened to some excellent music!! I still don't like the interior furnishings and all those fake flowers, and that very old pink in the back room which makes it very kisch. For the rest, in my opinion it's a good place!

09/03/2024: The quality of the food is exceptional, as are the managers and all the staff. Whether for breakfast, lunch, an aperitif or one of the super dinners offered on Saturday evenings... this place remains a certainty. The purchase of homemade desserts and delicatessen is also highly recommended. A place like this has no equal for me.

21/02/2024: Un locale caratteristico forse un poco rumoroso ed in una posizione con parcheggio, purtroppo limitato. Abbiamo mangiato alla carta con cucina famigliare, pasta leggermente troppo cotta, sugo in abbondanza. Tanta scelta nei secondi sempre abbondanti e famigliari.

05/02/2024: Aperitivo a buffet con cibo di scarsa qualità, la pasta, il riso, le verdure ecc avevano tutte lo stesso sapore...insapore. Patate e arancini freddi, niente pane, pizza focaccia freschi, solo pezzi rinsecchiti di focaccia forse riciclata. Non all'altezza del locale che ha altre ambizioni, veramente deludente.

07/04/2024: We had dinner on a Saturday evening, it was very busy, but the service was perfect. Everything was delicious. The place is characterized by many old objects hanging on the walls and hanging from the ceiling.

06/04/2024: Typical tavern with a long history behind it, with a myriad of objects once in common use and now curiosities for display scattered and hung throughout the rooms. I haven't explored the entire menu yet but I can say that the starters are excellent, and stand out for their incredible variety, and the first courses are well made, with a personal preference for the risottos, perfect. The menu is also interesting for meats, but I haven't yet had the opportunity (mostly space) to try them. The choice of wines is also good, especially the regional ones. If I have to find a flaw, the dull half-litre bottles of mineral water, the only possible choice, are out of place (even aesthetically!!) on such a table...

09/03/2024: We had dinner with friends and we waited an hour and a half for the pizza, pointing out that perhaps it was a bit too many that we had booked the table, they replied that there were a lot of people for takeaway, that they couldn't fit more than one so many pizzas at a time and they don't work miracles....they're happy! The only positive note....the pizza is good

09/03/2024: Ho partecipato ad una cena con delitto presso questo ristorante. Cibo nella media ma la sorpresa è stato il conto. Nonostante dovesse essere 45€ tutto compreso (cena+spettacolo) al momento di pagare ci siamo ritrovati 20€ di vino quando era specificato acqua e vino compresi. Comportamento veramente scorretto. Mai più.

20/12/2023: Torniamo dopo un anno circa, stessa compagnia. Il locale mantiene la sua eleganza e il suo fascino. Dopo aver scelto i piatti ci viene detto che non sono disponibili due porzioni su quattro di antipasto “Nidino di gamberi croccanti”. . . Il primo vino (un bianco) molto buono viene aperto a distanza di tre metri dal tavolo senza prima mostrare al tavolo l’etichetta , rasentando a mani nude l’orlo della bottiglia. Devo chiedere cosa ci viene versato nei bicchieri. L’antipasto “Timballino di patate, uovo , tartufo d’Alba e fondutina”(60 €) ,con il tartufo tagliato al momento, viene servito freddo, freddo anche il piatto. L’antipasto “Bottarga di muggine con carciofi crudi”(30 €) (scelto come ripiego dei “Nidino di gamberi croccanti”) risulta da un accostamento di due ingredienti avulsi uno dall’altro , povero non solo in quantità. Gli antipasti “Nidino di gamberi croccanti” (30 €) non sono croccanti: sono quattro gamberi avvolti da spaghetti mollicci. Il primo piatto “Vellutata di zucca Bertagnina con gamberi crudi di Sicilia” (30€) è freddo, il piatto freddo nonostante l’avviso del ristoratore a consumarla celermente per non cucinare i gamberi col calore della Vellutata. . . Il primo piatto “Tajarin al tartufo bianco d’Alba”(60 €) consiste in una matassa di tajarin incollati, freddi, con il tartufo tagliato al momento. Il secondo piatto “Costolettine di agnello pre-salee alle erbette” (40 €) è freddo ,quantitativamente scarso, il piatto è freddo e le costolettine sono amare/acide. Le bottiglie di vino vengono poggiate lontano dai commensali : bisogna alzarsi alcune volte poiché l’incaricato si trattiene in conversazione a distanza e non provvede a versare il vino al bisogno. Avendo chiesto del formaggio ci viene somministrato un piatto comune con del grana a tocchetti ma non i piatti e le posate e dobbiamo prelevarlo a mano e consumarlo “in sospensione” sopra i sottopiatti. Il dolce “Castagne di granaio tiepide e cioccolato” 15 €) consiste in alcune castagne fredde , affogate in un liquido bianco scarsamente variegato al cioccolato. Il dolce “Il nostro panettone”(15 €) è una fetta dalla superficie secca e dal sapore somigliante a un prodotto “commerciale”: la fetta, quando viene poggiato il piatto ,per inerzia, data la sua rigidità, rischia di cadere fuori da esso. Con questi prezzi ci aspettavamo un trattamento che non abbiamo assolutamente ricevuto.

31/03/2024: Intact.. take away is to be avoided, smaller portions, wrong cooking, the dessert placed on top of the hot stuff instead of giving it separately. Never again. For the rest the place is excellent, the guys are very welcoming and serve quickly, the food is good. It's not exactly cheap but you pay for the quality of the meat. Excellent for families (pros and cons... you don't always want to eat with children screaming and running around the place, but it's the parents' fault, certainly not the locals' fault)
