17/05/2025: I entered the restaurant with my female Labrador and the owner, very rude, immediately made me feel bad about the fact that he had no space for the dog, I told him that if he wanted I would leave and he told me "do what you want", so I left: Oscar for rudeness!!
17/05/2025: Sono entrato nel ristorante col mio labrador femmina e il proprietario, molto scortese, mi ha fatto subito pesare il fatto che non aveva spazio per il cane, io gli ho detto che se voleva me ne sarei andato e lui mi ha detto "faccia quello che le pare", quindi me ne sono andato: Oscar della scortesia!!

29/05/2025: Abbiamo mangiato il menù di lavoro E devo dire che più che un volume di lavoro era un menù degustazione in quanto le pietanze erano oltre che squisite anche creative e diverse dal solito. Servizio più che cortese e attento. Il prezzo più che onesto considerata la qualità.
26/04/2025: Dinner with friends, they choose this place, I know it very well, and I know it will be a nice evening with good food. Everything perfect, as in my memories, years pass but it remains perfect, refined to a fault, both for the location and for the service, I thank you for your professionalism and I highly recommend it!

24/05/2025: Restaurant located in a beautiful little square in the hilly part of Mandello. Really characteristic and relaxing outdoor veranda. The interior is also welcoming. Very courteous and attentive service. The menu is complete with regional cuisine and also seafood. The food we tried was excellent (tagliata with polenta and porcini mushrooms).

16/05/2025: Beautifully located, peaceful and charming place; if someone doesn't like crowded streets - the best around Como; very well connected - train and ferry. Atmospheric restaurant with brilliant food, friendly service - extraordinary people - creating a unique atmosphere and charm. Italy at its best! I recommend it!

01/06/2025: Camerieri lenti ed impreparati, pizza sbagliata e al momento di pagare ci volevano Addebitare erroneamente un menu in più. Se non avessi con garbo insistito avrei dovuto pagare in piu per un errore non mio.

04/05/2025: Place with lake view, excellent and unique food. I got some purple gnocchi with courgettes and speck. Really excellent!
I recommend having lunch to enjoy the lake view.
27/04/2025: My husband I have eaten here twice, several years apart. The food is consistently delicious. Best risotto either of us has had. Delicious lemon sorbet. Service impeccable. Both mu husband and I have gluten allergies and was easy to have lunch here. Highly recommend.

23/05/2025: Stiamo stati per un pranzo di compleanno. Per arrivare al rifugio, mettetevi scarpe comodo perché dovrete caminare 10 mn in salita.
Il ristorante serve cibo tipico con una bellissima vista sul lago di Como, taglieri, primi... Consigliato per una gita fuori Milano.
13/04/2025: Dieci minuti di piacevolissima passeggiata ti permettono di arrivare davvero in paradiso. Appartamentini curati, puliti e provvisti di tutto ciò che serve. All'esterno ti aspetta un giardino splendido, con un panorama spettacolare sul lago. Colazione abbondante, sia quella consumata all'agriturismo, sia quella fornita nel simpatico cestino da viaggio. C'ero già stata anni fa, sono tornata e, certo, tornerò ancora!

05/01/2025: We were there to spend New Year's Eve...lovely place, very good food and friendly service, welcoming staff and very nice decorations.
Only one thing to point out: the DJ of the evening was a pain... At the beginning some nice music, but after 2 songs in good graces he started with horrendous and ear-splitting music...
I was hoping to dance, but instead after 1am we had to run away before I got a terrible headache!
I'm sorry because there was potential in the evening...
To be able to have fun... All you had to do was change the music!
20/09/2024: Perfect 18th birthday party.
Everyone appreciated the aperitif and the location.
With the combination at the entrance to Disco everything was top.

We left the chef free to choose with the 8-course menu, the result: great quality, variety and attention to detail. Obviously also super full.

25/11/2023: Sicuramente la cucina è degna di nota…alcuni piatti emergono su altri ma nessuno negativo…il servizio è cordiale e accorto…la maîtresse è sola e si deve occupare sia del consiglio del vino, che dell’accoglienza, che del servizio e spiegazioni piatti in sala. Il mio modesto consiglio da esperto del settore è di inserire una persona esperta di vino che possa aiutare la maîtresse durante la serata soprattutto quando il ristorante è pieno, visto la qualità e le aspettative richieste. Carta vino sicuramente da rivedere perché non in linea con la qualità del locale e della cucina. Chi ama il vino come me si aspetta in questa tipologia di ristoranti gourmet di ritrovare etichette ricercate e anche qualche vecchia annata e non solo poche bottiglie e commerciali. Aiuterebbe la voglia di ritornarci. Lascio comunque 5 stelle perché la serata è stata molto gradevole e non mi piace denigrare chi si impegna nel nostro settore.

06/05/2025: Siamo arrivati a piedi con una facile passeggiata dalla stazione di Lierna (45 Min circa).
Abbiamo cenato all'aperto, vista lago.
Ottimo il gran tagliere, goduriosi gli gnocchi e le Patole di Esino.
Abbiamo molto apprezzato il coniglio alla cacciatora con polenta e i marroni stufati con polenta serviti con primo sale di capra.
Birra agricola: ottima
Torneremo, consigliato.

Piatti dai sapori dimenticati; autentici e sinceri.
Proprietari accoglienti e simpatici.
Vista lago spettacolare.
