A very nice mountain hotel❤️, well-kept, welcoming, nestled in a spectacular panorama, a starting point for various trails of varying difficulty levels. It has a large parking lot in front and is located at the end of a rather steep and narrow road. Once you arrive, they will reveal the existence of another private road for exclusive use, marked as pedestrian but passable. It is not steep, not winding, easier but equally narrow. It also allows only one vehicle at a time. To be honest, accessibility is one of the hotel's weak points, but the location and the view are worth it.
The reception is attached to the bar, and the room also serves as a breakfast room and for the restaurant service, which is provided for lunch and dinner. There are rectangular tables with comfortable benches, and a beautiful pellet stove heats the room. From there, you access another "restaurant" room with "traditional" tables and chairs.
A beautiful, wide and fairly easy wooden staircase leads to the upper floor and the rooms. I believe there is another floor of rooms accessible via another internal staircase; there is no elevator.
The room we were assigned was not large but functional. It had a double bed with a mattress and pillows that I found uncomfortable, but that's my personal opinion. There were two small wood and glass bedside tables with no drawers, a single lamp, and a small open wardrobe with an open shelf underneath. A small desk with an LCD TV on the wall, and a safe behind it.
We had two beautiful, double-glazed, wooden tilting windows with a magnificent view. Air conditioning was also provided.
The bathroom was small. The toilet, with a loose seat and cover, was a sink with a mirror and a glass shower stall. Hot water, as we were told at reception, arrived after a short wait of two or three minutes. Unfortunately, there was no bidet; we were told none of the rooms had one. There was a small tilting window.
A couple of friends were initially assigned a room on the upper floor, but they felt it was "too" attic-like, so they asked to be changed. The second room they were given also had a balcony, but no shower stall; instead, it was protected by a shower curtain.
The hotel and the rooms have Wi-Fi; there are no telephones in the rooms.
Breakfast is simple but offers an excellent selection of cakes, honey, Nutella, yogurt, bread (with the option of toasting), croissants, water, and various juices. Coffee, cappuccino, etc. are available from a Nestcaffe coffee machine.
The first evening, we took advantage of the restaurant service, which offers typical dishes at average restaurant prices. My wife and I had a stew with smoked polenta, I had ribs with fries, she had a delicious berry ice cream, and I had a coffee tiramisu, water, and two coffees for €60.
It should be noted that the hotel is pet-friendly; we chose it primarily for that reason because we attended a cat show with our cats.
The room, including the tourist tax, cost us €100 per night, including breakfast. Parking is free.
The hotel also has outdoor tables and chairs that allow you to enjoy the view of the forest and mountains surrounding it. You can hear the water of a river or stream flowing below. It's accessible via a path, but we didn't explore it due to the hours we were in the hotel (early morning and late evening) and the unfavorable weather.
There are countless wooden sculptures inside and outside, works by a friend or acquaintance.
I think it's an excellent choice for hikers, mountain lovers, and trekking enthusiasts. It seems to be especially popular with foreign guests.
The owner and staff are friendly, kind, and helpful.
I should add that you can hear, but not see, the cars passing on a nearby road, but they don't bother you.
It's difficult to assess the cost/service ratio.

If you want to unwind and enjoy a chalet stay while still being in a village on Lake Como, this is the ideal place. The hotel is well-maintained, and the staff is attentive to their guests' needs. The dishes are generous and feature traditional local flavors. The pizzoccheri, pappardelle with mushrooms, and braised beef with polenta are all standouts. Fish lovers can also enjoy that.
The view of the Grigna mountain, which you can admire while sitting at the table while enjoying breakfast, lunch, or dinner, is priceless.
The owners are wonderful people and make you feel at home.
The rooms are very welcoming and clean.
Excellent value for money.
Highly recommended!

I went there today for a reunion with friends, 32 of us. The staff welcomed us very well. We chose the set menu for everyone, and I must say it was spot on. I recommend it for its location, which is very quiet, suitable for families with children, and above all, they allow dogs. I think it will be our annual stop.
