05/11/2024: I can’t recommend this place enough. I stayed here for two nights and loved everything about it. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. It’s also in the most perfect location in Menaggio. It’s only a 5-7 minute walk to the ferry/ c-10 bus stop. You’re less than 30 seconds by walking to many good wine bars, restaurants, and shops as well.
30/10/2024: Hay un viejo dicho sobre comer donde comen los lugareños y este pequeño y acogedor restaurante no nos falló. La encantadora nonna dirigiendo el lugar nos apretó en durante un almuerzo ocupado a pesar de ninguna reserva. El servicio es lento, pero sabiendo que todo estaba recién cocinado, nos sentamos y disfrutamos del vino de la casa, que era una ganga absoluta. Ambos platos de pasta estaban listos, simplemente presentados pero llenos de sabor, textura y amor. Nuestro anfitrión era tan encantador, que en realidad sentiste que esta era su casa en la que estabas comiendo. Menaggio es un pueblo encantador, menos turístico que algunos otros cercanos, pero para todo el ambiente, comida, etc, esta experiencia fue una de las mejores de nuestro viaje.

29/12/2024: It's a real shame that in this place some of the waiters aren't very kind, never a smile, never an apology etc.
This is after coming here at least 3 times and in all 3 times within 2 years the same thing happened to me. Beautiful view because it faces the lake and in summer you eat outdoors. The food is good, it's a shame about the education of the staff who I have also seen in other reviews say the same things as me. To be reviewed

22/10/2024: Delightful place for lunch! We were able to sit by the windows and enjoyed the beautiful view of Lake Como as we dined. Service was welcoming, attentive, and friendly! The food was absolutely delicious!! We shared calamari, linguine with porcini mushrooms, and spaghetti with clams. Excellent!!

20/11/2024: The only bar in the village of Croce near Menaggio....it has a lovely veranda perfect for enjoying their homemade ice-cream, coffee etc. The owers are a local family and are very welcoming.The bar is on the way to the "Menaggio and Cadenabbia Golf Club" which in the past was used by George Clooney. WIFI is available.

19/10/2024: The restaurant got a new chef and a new upgraded meny. Great food and service. Eat there three times on my last trip to Menaggio and the food was great, every time.
27/09/2024: Luxurious restaurant next to the hotel. The ordered dishes were served quickly enough. While waiting for the meal, a very polite waiter brought warm bread and butter. A moment later, an appetizer - delicious, delicate smoked salmon 👍 the ordered ravioli, deliciously stuffed, in a delicate thin dough, properly seasoned. However, turbot served with fried chanterelles and mashed potatoes with butter is a culinary feast. It's hard to describe it in words. DELICIOUS! 👍

18/10/2024: We had booked 3 double rooms for 4 nights in the off-season (where there are already many other hotels). The hotel is very clean, the owners are very friendly, helpful and - since our Italian is not very good - they also helped us with the reservations for restaurants.
The breakfast offers everything you need and the price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. The hotel is located directly on a busy street, which means that you should keep the windows closed at night and very early in the morning because of the street noise, but since the rooms have air conditioning units, this is not a problem even at higher temperatures . Even though there were only a few guests left in mid-October, the bar was still open in the evenings and the breakfast was varied with fresh and delicious sweet pastries (probably some homemade). We felt completely comfortable the entire time and thank you for the perfect stay.
13/10/2024: We had a wonderful stay in the Adler hotel recently and would highly recommend it. We booked last minute (on the arrival day!) and stayed for 2 nights, changing rooms after the first night.
The rooms are pretty basic but comfortable, and match the pricing.
We are dinner there on both nights and would highly recommend it. The food was all home-made and tasty and creative. The owner-chef is really excellent.
It seems to be a family-run hotel with all family members pitching in at various points. They really seem to care about their guests and the service is excellent!
Given the location (up a hill outside of Mennagio) you definitely need a car to access the hotel. It's a good base however for discovering the towns along the lake and a short boat ride to Bellagio.

23/10/2024: Nous cherchions un restaurant traditionnel avec parking et vue sur le lac, et nous avons trouvé cette pépite dans les hauteurs de Menaggio. Le patron, Umberto, parle un très bon français, il a vécu un temps à Paris, et il s'est occupé de nous comme si nous étions des amis. Nous nous sommes régalés avec des plats traditionnels, des pâtes faites maison (Raviolis aux noix de Saint Jacques et crevettes incroyables) et des pizzas délicieuses, et un excellent amaro digestif offert pour conclure ce vrai moment de convivialité, un de ceux qui vous font forcément aimer l'Italie, merci Umberto et à bientôt!
20/10/2024: Questo posto è perfetto per un pranzo tra amici o in famiglia, personale disponibile e accogliente. Gli sciat e la polenta uncia ottimi e delicati. Pizzoccjeri e risotto al persico sublimi. La tagliata tenerissima. I dolci leggeri e delicati. Il panorama è incantevole, siamo stati a nostro agio mangiando molto bene. Da provare. Isabella

22/08/2024: Good and friendly service, but the food is just not right. It does not serve the expectations of how they represent theirselves and how the prices are set. The ravioli were covered with three different sauces. Overall, a layer of thick sepia sauce was put on many dishes, such as the squid. Also, you can find their mayonaise kind of sauce on most dishes. Here, less is more in my opinion. The octopus was a bit on the chewy side. The prices might indicate haute cuisine, but it is not.

La Trattoria Costantin

07/01/2025: Il Locale è una tipica trattoria (fuori come dentro) con due sale interne (separate), un lungo bancone e tavolini all’aperto nella bella stagione.
La scelta e abbastanza turistico ma con buona proposta di piatti sia locali (pizzoccheri, gnocchetti di Chiavenna) che cucina classica italiana (spaghetti alle cozze, grigliata di pesce, lasagne) e inoltre offre una vasta scelta di pizze.
La gestione e familiare e il personale molto cortese. Apprezzato dai turisti il fatto che parte del personale parla inglese, tedesco, spagnolo e francese ed è frequentato anche dai locali a conferma della qualità del cibo.
Prezzi in linea, tenendo conto che siamo sul lago di Como. Consigliato.
