27/08/2024: Located on a small uphill street with a view of the lake, this wine bar is a great place to taste wine as well as an Italian charcuterie/cheese board. French speaking waitress. We recommend!

29/08/2024: 1 hour wait for croissant we gave up left dnt wast ypur day here even coffee took 30 mins not even that busy they need new management they all over the place . Wer on holiday short time cannot afford 1 to 2 hr wait for 2x simple items so sad

01/11/2024: Ser un amante de los peces, estaba muy ansioso por nuestra visita, ya que las críticas de aquí fueron buenas. El restaurante tiene un gran entorno y una sensación muy acogedora. Pedimos el plato de pescado a la parrilla que presentaba media docena de tipos de peces de lago. Lamentablemente, la mayor parte estaba demasiado cocida y por lo tanto estaba seca. En realidad tampoco había mucho sabor, el más en realidad provenía de la verdura a la parrilla, aunque no había mucho. Nos quedamos muy decepcionados ya que no es difícil cocinar pescado fresco.

01/11/2024: Very nice restaurant, very kind staff in a very beautiful setting. The only note is the rice in cagnone, inform the customer that there is a waiting time of at least twenty minutes or that the order is accepted for at least two people but do not use that type of rice that has nothing to do with tradition.

27/08/2024: We came to the restaurant for my fiancé’s birthday a month or so ago - we booked the set menu with a wine pairing in the cellar. My fiancé is a coeliac and very helpfully Luigi offered to make the entire set menu gluten free to suit her allergies. The food was excellent, as was the service and overall experience in the cellar. Luigi and the staff were also very generous with the wine pairings (and also gave us an extra glass or two!)

22/08/2024: I was looking forward to eating here but came away somewhat disappointed. The ambience is nice and waiting staff were friendly. I asked for some olive oil to go with the bread but was told they don’t have olive oil from the kitchen and to get some I would need to buy a whole bottle from them. Never has this happened…seriously just a couple of table spoons is not possible? Bread and olive oil is one of life’s simple pleasures, please rethink your policy in this. Overall the food was good, though have experienced better in Italy and globally. However one of the dishes was a bit too salty for my liking. I wasn’t able to eat it all and shared my feedback when asked how the dish was. Shortly after, head chef Luigi then came over to tell me the sauce was fine, he had tried it, there was nothing wrong with it, it must be me and that I wouldn’t be receiving a discount. I hadn’t even hinted at a discount and wasn’t expecting one, I merely shared honest feedback on my personal preferences. The chef’s comments were unnecessary and made me feel a little awkward. The restaurant is a nice 30 min walk from the main town centre if you don’t have a car and fancy a stroll. Overall not a terrible meal and experience, but I was disappointed and wouldn’t return.

02/12/2023: We went shopping in this wonderful store on October 21st, 2023, great experience, absolutely recommended, the coppa was even sliced ​​very thin, 4 types of cheese were bought with it, incredibly cheap and great quality. BRAVO.

02/12/2023: Wir waren am 21.10.2023 in diesem wunderbaren Laden einkaufen, tolles Erlebnis, absolut empfehlenswert, die Coppa wurde sogar hauchdünn aufgeschnitten, 4erlei Käse dazu gekauft, unglaublich günstig und super Qualität. BRAVO.

27/07/2024: We were hoping for good things tonight after some doozies so far this week. Ristorante Bilacus did not disappoint. A beautifully presented restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating situated on the famous steps of Salita Serbelloni in Bellagio. Paul had again prebooked and paid a deposit so again we had high yet cautious hopes of things to come. We were sat on the terrace and it was a lovely fairly intimate setting which was surprising as it’s on such a main walk through. The staff were AMAZING 🥰 attentive, friendly, helpful, industrious and did I mention attentive ? Our wine glasses were never empty, my seat was pulled out for me when I stood up and every request was met with graciousness. The food….the food was sublime ! We had a burrata and caviar appetiser to share - sweet baby tomatoes and the creamiest, lightest burrata. For primo I had risotto - al dente and perfetto- and Paul had Gnocchi with duck ragu- divine. We then had the fish catch of the day to share - delicate sea bass with a very manageable side of potatoes and veg lightly flavoured with fennel. Again my gluten free needs were met with knowledge and advice that left me feeling comfortable and we left feeling sated and sleepy 😂 thank you to all the staff of Bilacus - we will be back ( on Wednesday actually 😂 ) Grazie mille, Paul and Zoë

18/10/2024: Relation between food quality and price its bad. Very expensive for the type of dishes served. The main courses were cold and the food not well cooked with the chicken very dry and the secreto too poor for main course. Not recommended.

19/11/2024: Did not sell fries even though indicated on sign out front. Good price and pizza was yummy.

24/10/2024: my partner and i got a pizza and a beer to takeaway and sat eating it on a bench in the street. that experience was just so lovely and the pizza was some of the best i had whilst in italy, the tomato sauce on it was beautiful.
