17/08/2025: A gem in the narrow streets of Gargnano! What can I say... fantastic! We had the hand-sliced Fassona steak, chicken cylinders with truffles, and the beef steak cooked on an olive stick! Everything was delicious! Desserts: very good, although I expected the tartatin to be lukewarm and a little sweeter; there were too many layers of apples, a little too much cinnamon, and it was all a little bitter... the walnut panna cotta was delicious! Super professional and super friendly service! Location: beautiful and very unique, the covered stone street, and the air-conditioned interior. Highly recommended!

16/08/2025: Super cozy place! Easy to make a reservation through the website. A friendly welcome, super delicious food, more than enough. Refined taste and a romantic atmosphere, both inside and out. Definitely recommended if you're staying in Gragnano.

02/07/2025: The recent reviews were correct. This place doesn’t just have a nice vibe, but the service was amazing and the food… simple and nothing short of delicious. For a small and relatively new restaurant, La Mingla punches way above, I truly am grateful to experience the care and love these two have for this place and dine here before they become ‘the next big thing’.

17/08/2025: The ambiance by the water is, of course, very beautiful, especially at dusk. The staff is very friendly and always manages to accommodate the large crowds. You should definitely make a reservation (at least during peak season) to avoid long waits and, above all, to ensure you get a table on the pier and not on a side street. It's clear that such a centrally located restaurant with this view attracts a lot of tourists. For pasta lovers: Be sure to order the Gorgonzola Pistacchio, it's delicious! Aglio e Olio is also recommended. The pizza is also very tasty.

15/08/2025: The restaurant was very close to my apartment. Right on the lake. A fantastic atmosphere. You're practically sitting in Lake Garda. The food and service are top-notch. The staff are super friendly and accommodating to any culinary requests. I ate dinner there nine times out of my ten days. I always ordered takeout. It's never a problem there. Wait times were always short. Therefore, the value for money is always right here. The people who work in the restaurant deserve praise. Extremely open and warm-hearted. You feel truly valued and welcome. Molto gustoso. 👌🏻

20/08/2025: La Tortuga is hospitality at its finest. Orietta is a perfect host, her mother is a superlatively good chef and her daughter is a very professional waitress. From the moment you arrive at the jewel like space you feel enveloped by a sense of love and care that extends to all aspects of the experience. The food is very refined and they have a great wine selection. I would especially recomend the linguine with fish ragu and the zabaglione, both of which were memorable. Expensive but great value. I recomend booking well in advance.

10/07/2025: We stumbled across this incredible Italian restaurant/hotel by chance while driving to Bergamo airport; and what a find! The setting is absolutely stunning, right on the water with breathtaking views across the lake. The staff were genuinely the warmest and most attentive we experienced in our whole week in Italy. Friendly, welcoming, and they truly went out of their way to make us feel looked after. The menu was refreshingly authentic, with a great range of regional dishes that felt thoughtfully prepared rather than touristy. Everything we ordered was delicious, and surprisingly well priced considering the quality and the location. We will return for a stay in the hotel next time!

09/08/2025: I love this hotel, the location is right next to the beautiful lake and it’s pretty close to the sailing club (CVG) so it’s really nice to live there in the summer for a sailing class.

24/08/2025: We spent a wonderful week here as a family. The breakfast offers everything you could need or desire – the fresh fruit was particularly delicious. The view from the rooms is fantastic; even on the first floor, with its terrace and garden access, you have a fantastic view of the lake. The excellent location puts you just a few steps from a small stretch of beach, and the charming town center of Gargnano is also within easy walking distance. Our stay was rounded off by the indoor pool, which our children especially loved.

I, however, also value the dining experience: a welcoming atmosphere, respectful service, and a place where my family can feel comfortable. On the last day of our holiday, we chose this restaurant for what we hoped would be a relaxed, authentic dinner. We had our two-year-old daughter with us. After a long day, she was understandably a bit fussy, so we did everything possible not to disturb others — taking her for short walks outside, keeping her calm so no one had to hear a child crying at their table. Apparently, this basic courtesy was lost on our waiter. Instead of appreciating our effort, he treated it as rudeness. At one point, he even told the child's father to “sit down” in a dismissive, condescending tone — as if stepping outside to prevent a crying toddler from disrupting the room was some kind of offense. His attitude was so unpleasant that it could have ruined even the finest Michelin-starred meal. We left feeling unwelcome, embarrassed, and with a lingering bad memory of what should have been a joyful evening. And just to preempt the usual kind of "management reply": no, this wasn't a misunderstanding, no, we weren't being disrespectful to staff or guests, and yes—we went out of our way to make sure our child didn't disturb anyone. Sometimes the problem really isn't the customer. 🇬🇧 If you go to a restaurant just for the food, you can safely ignore this review—the dishes here were simply okay. 11/08/2025: What a fantastic place for a meal. The service was excellent, went above and beyond to accommodate our large group and even served us beyond the opening hours. The food was nothing short of stunning and I highly recommend a visit when you are in the area. The lunch 2 course menu for €15 was great value for money.

25/06/2025: Very friendly hosts! You sit and eat right on the small harbor of Gargnano. It's cozy, and you receive a warm welcome. A great small menu and excellent wine selection. Highly recommended for a lunch stop by boat. Free moorings are 100 meters away. Highly recommended.
