02/07/2025: The worst food so far in 3 weeks of travel in Italy. Canned green beans, frozen corn, and dry tuna in one salad. A caprese salad with NO basil and unripe tomatoes. Bread/buns hard to the touch. Oranges imported from Egypt. All of this during the height of summer in Liguria - one of the finest produce growing areas ever. (One dish was good - the pesto lasagna.) Our waiter was kind however half our food was served before our beverages and the rest of our food much later. Seems the attitude of the owners is - ‘We don’t care. We don’t have to. Portofino offers a captive audience.’

30/06/2025: After ordering and waiting a bit I go inside to pay. There was a beer on the counter, a medium one that had obviously been left there for a while and it didn't even have any foam left. Suddenly a boy comes in with a small beer in his hand and pours it into my medium beer and another one that had also been on the counter for a while. I think it's a terrible thing especially because the beer was now warm! I highly recommend this place! Especially because the prices aren't cheap!

06/07/2025: The manager/owner has no idea what hospitality is.

05/07/2025: We came here for drinks without checking the reviews first — a mistake, as it turned out. Two of the cocktails were almost only water. We told the waiter we didn’t want them, and he took them away. He later returned and said we could speak with the manager/owner at the bar. When we did, things escalated quickly — he started yelling, slamming bottles, and telling us to leave when we explained that the cocktails weren’t supposed to be like that. We asked if we could order something else instead, but he just said, “Very bad, LEAVE.” As our group of four began to leave (two of us had barely touched our drinks), he came after us demanding us to pay. In the end, we were served two beers so we could at least have something while the others finished their cocktails. But no, the beers weren’t a compensation in any way — we were charged €28 for the two (that we didn’t even want in the first place). Altogether, we paid €68 for the visit.

29/06/2025: Nice service, tasty food, authentic ambience. It is however a tourist trap, 12€ per bottle of water (750ml). Small portions and outrageous prices, the seating alone cost my group 40€

25/06/2025: Prices are crazy! 40€ for a pizza and 48€ for 2 drinks! 12€ for a bottle of water. Plus don’t forget the service. Total 112€ for almost nothing. The most expensive place I’ve ever been too. Ridiculous! They also don’t have a menu for pizza so you don’t even know the price beforehand! Disappointed

30/06/2025: I consider €5.50 charged for a coffee with milk to be a ROBBERY.

18/06/2025: Food tasted microwaveable- it looks like they have 6 microwaves behind the counter. Even the mushrooms on the pizza looked like from a can.

14/07/2025: Helt ok pizza, marinara. Smakade som färdig tomatsås direkt ur burken. Servitören suckade och var inte särskilt hjälpsam. Vi fick bord på en ganska fullsatt resturang, fint. Men bordet är inklämt i ett hörn. Men, vi fick bord iallafall. Dyra priser, men görbart med tanke på att vi är i Portofino.

11/07/2025: Restaurant horrible. Plats dégueulasses et hors de prix. A fuir. Accueil froid. Bref a ne pas faire. Mozarella en caoutchouc, même pas de buffala. Dégoûtés de nous etre arrêtés. 10€ la bouteille d'eau du robinet...
