It truly feels like stepping back in time, in the best sense of the word: from the moment you enter, with its vintage style, you can feel the unique atmosphere. As soon as you open the door, the aromas from the kitchen immediately invite you to sit down and eat. The dishes are traditional, carefully prepared using quality ingredients: homemade pasta, rich and flavorful sauces, well-cooked main courses, and generous portions. You can sense their passion for authentic cuisine. The owners are extremely kind and always available, making the experience even more enjoyable. Excellent food. Highly recommended!

08/08/2026: Castellaccio is one of those places that stays with you. I was there this evening for dinner and the food was simply divine. But reducing everything to the food would be almost unfair, because here it's the whole that really makes the difference. Eating outside on warm summer evenings, immersed in an atmosphere that seems to belong to another era, has something special. It's one of those places where as soon as you sit down, you slow down, relax, and truly begin to enjoy the evening. The food is exceptional: sublime parmigiana, the kind you'd keep eating even after you've said "enough"; fabulous antipasto, rich, authentic, and full of authentic flavors. Everything that arrived at the table tasted like it was made properly. And then there are the hosts. Exceptional people, capable of welcoming you with a spontaneity and warmth that are hard to find nowadays. I felt at home practically from the first moment. Il Castellaccio isn't just an excellent restaurant in Grottaferrata: it's a place where you eat magnificently, feel good, and want to stay a little longer even after dinner. One of those places you almost want to keep to yourself... but that deserves to be talked about. Would you go back? Every night, even. ❤️
