Authentic, old-fashioned, a little dusty—a place that could use a refresh, but it still has its charm!
We had tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and homemade potato gnocchi with a truly delicious sauce. Huge portions! The wine was good, and the bread was wonderfully crispy on the outside, thanks to a long rising process.
I'm used to pasta being al dente, so this was a little overcooked for my taste, but the mushrooms and sauce were delicious.
I'd love to go back—next time, I'll have bruschetta.

The atmosphere is welcoming, with a 1960s vibe; most of the other customers knew each other. We stumbled upon it by chance and didn't get to try the polenta, which must be ordered in advance. Instead, we ordered cappelletti in chicken broth, sautéed chicory, a 1/4 bottle of white wine, and a sour cherry tart. The host was attentive, everything was delicious, generous portions, and fair prices.

The atmosphere is very simple, yet intimate and familiar. I went for lunch on Christmas Day and it felt like home.
The food was simply cooked, yet authentically flavorful. Very generous portions. Reasonable prices.
The owner, Alessandro, is friendly and always ready to please his customers.
The first time I visited this restaurant, invited by my brother who lives in Monte Compatri, I had a superb plate of gnocchi.
I will definitely be back.
