10/08/2024: The lady who welcomed us was very kind. Very large and clean room.

05/08/2024: I was only here for one day, with my family. The lady at the hotel welcomed us kindly despite a few minutes' delay when we had called the intercom for the "Night Service". Pretty good price for a hotel in Veroli. The environment is 19th century style, given that it is an old monastery, each room is equipped with air conditioning for these very hot summer days. The only very serious flaw is the safety of the elevator. Yesterday morning when we had to leave, since the maximum number of people in the elevator I think is 6 people since it is quite large, the elevator was stuck halfway down the 1st floor and the wall. After about 8 minutes of panic, the hotel owner and the lady arrived to get us out with the key to the elevator doors. In all this I give this place 4 stars because it is very nice, despite the location being a little remote.

04/07/2024: I have nothing to say about the pastries because they are delicious! But the other evening (2 July 2024), 7.45pm, I went to this pastry shop to get some pastries and the person who served me (a blonde girl) cheated me and was extremely rude. I got 440g of pastries for €20/kg and another 185g for €18/kg and the girl asked me for €22. When I told her that it couldn't be this price the girl changed her mind and asked me for €17. I kindly asked her to weigh the pastries, because even this price seemed excessive compared to my calculations, and she gave me another 3 euros back. However, she didn't give me the change I needed and then left pretending nothing had happened. Calculating things exactly, I would have had to pay €8.8 for the first courses and €3.33 for the second courses, so a total of €12.13 (WHEN SHE INITIALLY ASKED ME FOR 22 EUROS!!!). It seems truly absurd to me that one could have the nerve to even ask for €10 more than what is due, I was very disappointed with this service!

07/04/2024: Buon servizio cordiale gentile e veloce. Pasto buono e tutto sommato a prezzi correnti. Ci tornerò ancora volentieri.

14/03/2024: Si tratta di una struttura ben articolata, fra sale per matrimoni, sale per ristorante, bel parco fra gli ulivi ed ampio parcheggio. Utilizzata solo per la parte albergo e non ristorante. Fuori stagione non funziona ovviamente una bella piscina. Personale gentile e belle camere con piccolo balconcino. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo, almeno in bassa stagione.

21/07/2024: Traumhafte Lage inmitten Olivenhainen. Essen sagenhaft. Aperitif auf der herrlichen Terrasse mit Blick auf die umliegenden Orte. Essen fantastisch. Vorspeise Mega lecker, 2x verschiedene Pasta hausgemacht. Hauptspeise Rindfleisch auf niedrig Temperatur. Dessert leckere hausgemachte kleine Törtchen. Perfekter Tag, perfektes Ambiente, ausgezeichnete Küche und sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Danke für diesen wunderbaren Tag!!

09/09/2023: Historic Verola restaurant 2 steps from Santa Salome. Mid-August, 9 people, fixed menu, truly spectacular. Intense flavors, homemade, lunch outdoors, under a tree, time therefore spent in the best way We arrived with a smile and left with an even bigger smile Parking 10 meters by the way (I recommend stopping instead from the traffic police station towards Chalet and then walking up here, you can enjoy Veroli)

27/08/2023: Ormai siamo sulla scia dei piatti di pasta da 60 grammi a 18 euro. Siamo sulla scia della cucina bella da vedere ma non compatibile con la fame. I fili fili sono fatti con il pomodoro e basilico dovrebbero avere un costo umano ed invece …il posto è carino ma il ristorante segue ormai l’onda del primo e mezzo antipasto a 25 euro. Siamo a veroli e non a Firenze abbassare il tiro non sarebbe male. Mi sono alzato con una fame boia . Alè

18/08/2024: I returned to the Vecchi asylum more out of curiosity, given the new management and I must say that I was sufficiently satisfied: abundant homemade starter, very stuffed pizza and finally a packaged but good dessert. More than satisfactory quality/price ratio. The service needs to be significantly improved given the lack of drinks ordered and the reminders to get them... more attention to the customer. It is clear that the new management is in the start-up phase and I hope that the criticisms will serve to improve. I think I'll go back to visit them.

10/08/2024: Very good pizza, not Neapolitan (hurray), crunchy but not too thin, perfect to my taste! Unfortunately we asked for supplì and croquettes for everyone, and plates of mixed fried foods arrived without even a hint of a supplì and a croquette. Good, of course, but it didn't satisfy the request and, in this, the staff must be careful. It is still difficult to understand that the staff is everything and we need to prepare them and invest in them (there have also been some other inaccuracies) Furthermore, too much waiting for the small number of tables. I hope that time improves, because it would be a real shame. Until next time... Ad maiora

08/08/2024: Overpriced! starter, a shared second course of scottona (chewy both raw and slightly more cooked), 1 dessert, 2 bottles of wine, 1 passito wine €65 per person. Friendly staff, but I certainly wouldn't go back, it wasn't a €400 experience for 6 that I would repeat

27/06/2024: We went last night with a couple of friends, just one word: wonderful. Fantastic menu, I would have eaten everything, as I am gluten sensitive I didn't have any problems, which is not at all a given, believe me. Gianfranco and Laura, the owners, were very kind and gave us the best advice. The other guy in the room was also very, very kind and professional. The food is excellent, the place is beautiful and well-kept, and last but not least, and in my opinion fundamental, the bathroom is very clean. Well done everyone, we'll see you again soon.

27/05/2024: Pizza unica, buonissima e croccante! Posto giusto se vuoi passare una serata tranquilla tra amici in compagnia di Renato. Ottimo il fragolino fatto da lui.
