15/08/2026: I stopped at this osteria on Ferragosto (August 15th) to simply ask if there was room for lunch. I completely understand that it was a holiday and that the place was fully booked, even with reservations made several days earlier. What really left me perplexed, however, was the way I was responded to. The owner seemed very rude, unkind, and, in my opinion, completely inappropriate toward a potential customer—I'd even say arrogant! Ask is fair, and answer should be a courtesy, even when there's no availability. A simple "Sorry, we're fully booked" would have been enough to end the conversation politely. In the end, even someone who comes in just to ask for information is still a customer, or could become one in the future.
