25/06/2025: Piadineria at the entrance to the city center. Very pleasant to taste one of the specialties of Romagna in a location of peace and tranquility. The food is good, but the side dish is even better. Definitely recommended at least for those who visit the place.

03/05/2025: I had a fabulous piada with sardines. Simple but quality ingredients. I don't have a photo of the piadina because I devoured it quickly, just come and try it.

23/06/2025: I, Alessandro, am writing also on behalf of Davide, who is a disaster with the phone – so the review is worth double! 😄 We discovered Trattoria Il Merlo almost by chance, but we will return on purpose: the food is divine and the price is right! A place like this is an absolute rarity: authentic, home-made, substantial but very digestible Romagna cuisine, with meat-based dishes (even game!) prepared with passion and skill. The menu is rich, varied, full of dishes that make your mouth water just reading about them. Each course is a little journey into traditional flavors. Very high quality at prices of a true old-fashioned trattoria. In short: here you feel good, you eat better, and you spend the right amount. Congratulations to those who carry on this little great gem of Romagna cuisine! Alessandro & Davide

30/05/2025: 1 cold inedible piada 2 terrible service 3 squalid treatment 4 she allowed herself to offend me in front of my partner by telling her where she found me and that it was better if she was alone, just because I asked her if she only had 1 tea, shameful to say the least 5 half a liter of water paid 1.50 and I want to point out it's a rotisserie 6 she will never see me again unless it's to insult her

23/02/2025: Piccola rosticceria a s arcangelo. Vasta scelta di cassoni e primi, un po meno di secondi e verdure. Cucina casalinga e cotta al momento.

02/06/2025: JAIL LEFTOVERS! I'll just give you the story: we take a table and I go to the bathroom; before entering they ask me if I was a customer, I say yes but I point out that it's not the height of hospitality to ask. He brutalizes me, but I let it go. Immediately after, the same treatment is reserved for my 70-year-old mother-in-law. We go back to the table and tell them what happened, before ordering we decide to leave given the service. When we tell them that we're freeing the table, the same guy starts insulting me among the tables on the street, first he tries to take me with him from the place threatening me, then he pulls me to send me away, then 2 more come with the same attitude, pushing me repeatedly; I don't react but I don't run away, the customers at the tables are amazed. I don't know why I didn't call the police. Crazy! I repeat, jail leftovers! Now I even understand the name of the place.

02/06/2025: millefeuille beef tartare of tuna and satén .... very nice lunch, on the steps of santarcangelo, in the shade with a light breeze .... really nice with a contained menu mandi high quality ... well done

23/03/2025: Avevamo visto le recensioni e pensavamo meglio, se le saranno fatte scrivere da amici e parenti? Non entreremo più in questo negozio, ho acquistato delle porzioni di lasagne al forno , un mattone asciutte , senza besciamella, unico sapore predominante pomodoro vecchio, ovviamente non siamo riusciti a finirle. Ho dato due stelle solo perché non abbiamo assaggiato secondo e contorni spero per loro che almeno quelli sappiano cuocerli e condirli un po' meglio, altrimenti ne avrei messa una sola.

26/05/2025: Coming back from a trip to Montetiffi, where we visited the place where they still make the trays for piadina, we wanted to eat it and we stopped in Santarcangelo. We found this nice place that had the characteristics we were looking for, that is, a piadineria that was not standardized like those that are now found on every corner, but had something special. We sat down in a splendid courtyard and were welcomed by a very kind lady. The piadinas, very good made with fine flours, are made on the spot, the menu is very rich and we opted for the Romagna cutting board, there was also Umbrian and Marche, I think, we will try them next time. The cutting board was huge with many cold cuts, cheeses and grilled vegetables, all delicious. We are always looking for places that we define as having a soul and this one certainly has it. Well done!
