15/12/2024: Trip out of town and chose this restaurant based on the reviews read online: I confirm the excellent quality of the dishes (abundant home-made dishes served in an original way), the good welcome of the staff, and the originality of the furnishings. Very large space, tables and chairs each different from the other, lots of works of art on the walls, lots of writings, poems and mottos, lots of vintage material (including a green Lambretta in the middle of the room), a beautiful fireplace that gives winter doesn't hurt. Excellent view of the valley, fair prices for what is offered. It's a shame that we live 70km away, otherwise it would be a permanent stop; Anyway I will definitely come back. I confirm the 5 stars for everything, I recommend always having cash because the POS line is not always stable.

12/01/2025: Oggi abbiamo avuto il piacere di pranzare in questo ristorante e non possiamo che definirlo un'esperienza indimenticabile. Abbiamo scelto di affidarci al percorso proposto dallo staff, e si è rivelato un vero e proprio trionfo di sapori e qualità. La degustazione si è aperta con dieci antipasti, ognuno dei quali rappresentava un piccolo capolavoro, perfettamente equilibrato e preparato con ingredienti di primissima qualità. È seguita poi un'esplosione di gusto con un tris di primi, che ha saputo esaltare la tradizione pur mantenendo un tocco di originalità. Ma il vero clou è arrivato con i quattro secondi di carne, cucinati alla perfezione e accompagnati da contorni che valorizzavano ogni boccone. Ogni portata si distingueva per l'attenzione ai dettagli e l'uso di prodotti artigianali e squisiti, che rendevano l'intero percorso un viaggio culinario irripetibile. A chiudere in bellezza, una carta dei dolci sorprendente, con una varietà che ha saputo soddisfare ogni desiderio, e una carta dei vini altrettanto curata, con proposte eccellenti in grado di accompagnare perfettamente ogni piatto. Il tutto a un prezzo più che onesto, considerando la qualità e la quantità offerta. Torneremo prestissimo, certi di vivere un'altra esperienza straordinaria. Consigliatissimo!

12/12/2024: we had lunch in this hotel. A real surprise! We ate really well. Baked shank, braised meat, nerves and cured meats. Everything in a workmanlike manner and at a modest price

26/11/2024: I'm working away in the area and I found the place easily, but it's a shame that there's no type of parking. I took a first course (pasta with meatball sauce) and a second course (grilled sausage with boiled potatoes) and I found both dishes delicious with the perfect quantity to fill you up while I instead found the bread reviewable. Excellent service with those who had to take the order very patient (with me there were 2 other people and a foreign boy who speaks little Italian), dishes arrived with perfect timing and nice and hot, excellent value for money with the welcome possibility to do separate accounts. I'm working here in the area on the move and I really think I'll have lunch at this place often!

22/10/2024: Passing by on a motorbike, beautiful location overlooking Bobbio and Valtrebbia. Excellent home cooking, tagliatelle with fresh home made porcini mushrooms, pissarei and fasò.... Compliments to the courteous and helpful staff. Advised.

30/09/2024: BREATHTAKING location! Outdoors the landscape is crazy, and the farmhouse is nestled in a hill above Bobbio from which you can see the whole valley, and inside you can savor an elegant and comfortable rusticity, combined perfectly with the selected cuisine offered. We ate cold cuts with a first course, the only flaw was the cold cuts were too young, but everything else won us over :)

12/01/2025: Dishes full of porcini mushrooms, nothing like the porcini mushrooms of the upper valleys. Polente soggy and tasteless. Cuisine to review. Not a very suggestive place but it's more of a refectory so it seems. They never feel like it is the impression I got. As for the servants, nothing to say and the place is clean.

11/01/2025: Restaurant with excellent cuisine. Excellent service and very very courteous. I will definitely return for the dishes prepared and the excellent wine. Small note: when a restaurateur dedicates even just a minute to an explanation of a wine or a dish, even just a lunch with friends becomes an experience. Well done, well done

10/11/2024: Trip to Val Trebbia by bus with my wife. Arrived in Bobbio h. 11.45am we have an appointment at the bus h. 3.15pm for a visit to the village and free lunch. Having seen everything recommended by the Office. Tur., we have half an hour left for the last site and a bite to eat. We enter the Garden, recommended by a bookseller, and the Lady understands immediately. He prepares a table for us and there we celebrate macaroni alla bobbiese and tortelli with tail, Gutturnio, in no time at all. We visit the nearby church that was missing and conclude an unforgettable cultural and gastronomic experience by arriving on time for the bus. Thanks Bobbio, thanks Giardino!

20/09/2024: Found by chance while passing by motorbike: exceptional cuisine, great courtesy and friendliness of the owner and chef, low prices. The mulberry jam tart is sublime. The wild boar is also very good. I'm appalled by the comments that say the portions are small! The portions here are fair, however tending towards the abundant rather than the sparse! Anyone who just wants to fill their stomach to excess has an underdeveloped sense of taste!

The croissants are super, freshly baked and fragrant, and the hot chocolate is ideal for recharging on cooler days. Warm welcome and relaxed environment, perfect for a stop between curves and views. 30/11/2024: It is a pizza restaurant that offers great food. I happily eat mixed fried food, which I find very good and digestible. The pizzas are also of excellent quality. Prices slightly above average. But usually rewarded by quality. The only thing that leaves me in doubt is the name of the place. It reminds me of the office at the entrance to the highways. But this is my personal taste and has little to do with the food and service offered.
