Found at the recommendation of a local (weekday lunch, with most restaurants closed), the advice was spot on!
Although it looks more like a bar and is slightly outside the historic center, the kitchen is very sophisticated, with great traditional dishes all prepared in-house.
The platter of delicious fried gnocco is excellent; the first course is macaroni alla bobbiese and tortelli piacentini with galactic oxtail; the second course is incredibly tender roast pork neck in wine. To finish, the sbrisolona with zabaglione is impeccable.
The price is fair for the quality of the ingredients and the execution of the dishes!

Informal atmosphere, very kind and friendly staff, exquisite food, and good local wine. I had gnocco fritto with mixed cured meats and cheeses accompanied by house pickled vegetables. Pinoli alla boscaiola, a type of green gnocchi made on site with porcini mushroom sauce and sausage, was a truly delicious first course. Roast coppa with baked potatoes was very tender and flavorful. I highly recommend this Trattoria bar to anyone passing through Bobbio. I will definitely be back.

I only ordered a roast beef with a side dish, so nothing elaborate, but it was all good. The roast beef is served with mustard seeds, which are delicious and not too overpowering. Then I ordered a baked tomato. The girls are super friendly, we'll definitely be back, perhaps to try some other dishes since I often pass through Bobbio during the motorcycle season.

Typical Bobbio dishes are well-prepared, with generous portions.
The service is quick and courteous. The restaurant is small, but clean and modern; parking is available across the street. The prices are reasonable, certainly in line with the quality.
