23/04/2026: If it's true that cooking is the heart, if it's true that cooking doesn't have to be rich or complex at all costs, it doesn't necessarily have to draw on expensive, exotic, or globally sourced ingredients; if it's true that cooking is the gut, or rather, the palate, and it should exude aromas, every bite should tell you something, melt in your mouth, reveal something new, and sometimes evoke situations and places, then upon entering this beautiful restaurant with its exposed stone walls, its understated elegance, and its tables that are both intimate and convivial, you've come to the right place to enjoy a cuisine where carefully selected ingredients, food design, and the chef's skill showcase the finest seafood. From the menu, which is simply laid out yet offers a wide range of options and is further enhanced by several daily specials, we began with a steamed seafood salad, rich in fresh fish and captivating both the eye and the taste buds, and grilled octopus on vegetable caponata: a colorful dish, perfectly cooked, making the octopus tender, enveloping, and satisfying. To precede these dishes, a taste of tuna au gratin with mini diced tuna, truly unforgettable for the majestic flavor that invaded our mouths. Next up was a grilled Adriatic dish, truly local in quality and sublimely crafted by the kitchen's skill, and a mixed fried fish dish with an inviting color and harmonious flavor. To finish, a mascarpone cream with a crunchy filling and strawberry jam, artistically presented. A bread basket with various baked goods and a comprehensive wine list, unpretentious, with an international flavor that never forgets the local area. 17/05/2026: Amazing.... On our way to Cesenatico, we wanted to have dinner at one of the restaurants on the boat canal, and... We went in. What can I say? "Amazing!" We had dinner for two, with a marinated anchovy appetizer, shrimp and curry gnocchi, a sliced ​​beef steak, a French fry, and a coffee, all washed down with a bottle of sparkling water. It cost €60, but it was worth it. Everything was delicious. I mopped up the gnocchi with the curry sauce. The service was excellent and always on point. There were no wait times. A truly exquisite dinner on Cesenatico's most famous boat canal. 10 out of 10. Thank you.

12/05/2026: Every time we're in the area (about once a month), we can't miss it. The seafood here is delicious, typically Romagna-style. The first courses are tasty, well-seasoned, and plentiful (and you can't resist mopping up the bread with the bread). The mixed fried vegetables are crispy and photogenic. And it's not expensive.

15/03/2026: I visited Da Massimo restaurant in Cesenatico, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The fish, despite expectations, was rather bland and lacking any particular flavor. Making matters worse was the music blasting so loud it was impossible to communicate with the person sitting across from me. The table layout also leaves much to be desired: they're so close together that every time a waiter passes by, they inevitably brush against you or bump into you. Overall, the atmosphere is uncomfortable, and the quality doesn't justify the restaurant's reputation.

21/09/2025: We stopped for lunch at this beachfront establishment, and while the woman serving us was very kind, I can't praise the food we ordered. The pasta was made with a fish sauce that was clearly frozen (with perfect rectangles of calamari), despite her assurances that it was fresh. When I pointed this out to my colleague, she was annoyed and said she wasn't in a restaurant. The fried food was also clearly frozen and not very crispy. Catering doesn't necessarily mean owning a restaurant!

31/08/2025: I love this little place. The staff is really friendly. Even at the end of the season, they still have a smile for everyone. The spaghetti with clams tasted like seafood. Kudos to the really friendly staff. The beer by the glass is excellent.

16/05/2026: €83 for lunch, two plates of spaghetti allo scoglio with very little pasta and a lot of clams (cleverly renamed padella da Vinci) and a meager appetizer. Completely tasteless fish, 98% frozen and purchased with poor-quality ingredients (the octopus and shrimp tasted the same), clams full of sand and many still closed, floury mussels, a hermit crab in the sauce, and the scampi with the eggs still attached. During a lunch hour, the waiters asked us seven times how things were going, twice if we wanted water, and three times if we wanted more bread. Interrupting the conversation (we only ordered one course), I found myself asking permission to speak to the person at the table. ABSURD experience FOR THE PRICE ASKING, it's a €25 business lunch menu in a restaurant. The ice cream was excellent, but I got it elsewhere.

02/06/2026: Too bad about the ending! The guy who offered us coffee at the end of the dinner ended up charging six euros for two coffees. As for the food, the fried food was really good, but the pasta with clams was tasteless. There's room for improvement!

11/05/2026: We had lunch as a couple, two of us plus a stroller. Convenient location, but on the go. The staff was young but not very qualified. Two appetizers, two lobster-based first courses, a carafe of white wine, two sorbets, and one coffee. Total €96. At the end of the meal, we weren't offered limoncello or any other house liqueur (though we were at the table in the back). Unfortunately, we didn't experience the typical Romagna hospitality. The tagliolini with lobster were a positive note, and were truly delicious.

21/04/2026: Today, April 21, 2026, we decided to take a stroll in Cesenatico! Not a good idea, it was an autumn-like day with torrential rain. Luckily, we were hungry, so we stopped by the Blue Moon piadineria. The owner was very professional, kind, and welcoming. We enjoyed an excellent piadina, in true Romagna style, with fresh and tasty ingredients. We recommend it; try it. Best regards

13/05/2026: A charming place. A must-visit with family and friends. Delicious food, beautifully presented, colorful, flavorful, and delicious. Excellent value. Beautiful location, in the small preserves square, and a welcoming, refined atmosphere. You can choose from the menu or choose directly from the display case... with a mouth-watering variety of side dishes. The only flaw? We've been waiting for years for a branch in Sicily, but it never arrived. Ugh!

04/06/2026: Delightfully EXCELLENT value for money. Fresh food cooked to perfection, very knowledgeable and friendly service, stunning setting right on the sea and dock. The bill was fair (value for money): three appetizers, two main courses, water, half a bottle of wine, coffee, and a cover charge, €109. I'm truly satisfied with the dinner I just had, and I'm happy to compliment the owner on the quality of the food and the courtesy of the staff. Thank you very much. I'll be back as soon as I can.
