04/07/2025: A beautiful family-run restaurant with over 70 years of history! We had a wonderful experience at Scilla — it was our first time, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Giuseppe, the son of the family business, served us with such kindness and professionalism. Five-star service all the way! The restaurant is very kid-friendly, and everything on the menu is delicious, especially the filetto allo scoglio, which we highly recommend. Thank you for the amazing experience!

03/07/2025: Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The food was poorly seasoned, and the fish was completely dry. It was the worst meal we've had in two weeks in Calabria. We prefer al dente, but the pasta from the primo was almost raw and barely chewable. The service was friendly. However, my husband had barely put down his fork and I was still eating when the plate was taken away.

27/06/2025: Dining on the terrace of the “De Angelis” restaurant while admiring the sunset of Scilla is pure magic. Quality fish, expertly cooked respecting the raw materials and traditions. Both the raw appetizers and the “De Angelis” appetizer with various tastings were excellent, we ate the pasta “alla sveglia” and the fried food…. Top!!! The friendliness of Diego, the owner, is free. No problem for dogs in tow… we were with two dachshunds. I recommend it without reservations, we will definitely be back.

24/06/2025: We visited Scillia 2 years ago and had a wonderful meal here. We're here again and were not disappointed. The food amazing as were the staff and a great view unto the Mediterranean Sea.

14/06/2025: Should be called Street Excellence! Best fish we had during the whole vacation in Italy! Very service minded and friendly. Really good food at a very low cost considering the taste and quality!

03/06/2025: Small environment but don't worry. The products are quality, the food is delicious. The courtesy of the staff goes hand in hand with the food. The prices are adequate, at the end they also offer you a digestive, what more do you want?. I recommend eating everything because it's delicious Salvatore Daniele

24/05/2025: Well located bar with good food bites. Good wifi. Welcoming staff, so we came couple of times. Only downside is that we paid 5€ for a Fanta instead of an orange pressed juice and even though the waitress obviously understood the mistake afterwards the payment, she left us leave without proposing to fix this mistake.

08/07/2025: Easy to get there, exit Scilla, immediately go down to Chianalea which is on the road, after the church this welcoming place with the smells of the sea can be found immediately on the right, ask Mrs Concetta.

07/07/2025: There are places where the food is good. And then there are places where you feel at home: Lo Scoglio di Ulisse is definitely one of these. I arrived on a summer evening, with the sun setting behind the Castello Ruffo and the sea that seemed painted. The restaurant overlooks the water, in what is perhaps the most fascinating area of ​​Scilla, Chianalea. It only takes a few seconds sitting at the table to understand that you are in a special place. The dishes? Absolute freshness. I tasted spaghetti with clams so full of sea that it seemed like a dive. The grilled fish was cooked to perfection: tender, tasty, real. No artifice, just simplicity and quality. And the selection of local wines was the icing on the cake. But if I have to say it all, the true heart of the restaurant has two specific names: Graziella and Tina. They are the ones who welcome you with a sincere smile, which makes you feel not like a customer, but a guest. They know every dish, every fisherman, every story behind every flavor. When they recommend something, they do it with that passion that only those who deeply love their job can transmit. They take care of every table as if it were their living room. Graziella has her own way of being present without ever being intrusive. Just a look and she has already understood if you need something. With her there, the restaurant has a soul. And congratulations to Mrs. Tina for the love and passion she puts into her work. We truly felt at home. Thank you so much. In a world where restaurants come and go, Lo Scoglio di Ulisse leaves an impression. For its beauty, for its cuisine, but above all for its humanity. And if I return to Scilla (and I will), I already know where I will stop. And I already know that Graziella will be there together with Mrs. Tina who with their smile will make me feel in the right place again ❤️
