29/11/2025: We just visited the restaurant, and for two glasses of Roero Arneis, a bowl of chips, a bowl of olives, and four 6cm square pizzas, we paid 23 euros. A bit excessive and unusual. We're tourists visiting beautiful Calabria. Is that how it's done? Given the prompt response from the very kind owner, I have to be punctual too. A warm smile when we entered would have been a better welcome. We had to ask if we could have two glasses of wine. For the white wine, we were shown two open bottles, including Roero, and for a snack, we were offered a slice of pizza. We agreed to have the pizza, but we hadn't understood the girl. The two glasses arrived at the table without anything else. After a while, I asked for pizza, but the kind girl instead thought we didn't want it. After a while, the pizza arrived, and without our asking, along with the olives, chips, and the supposed peanuts that I couldn't remember. I should point out that we didn't receive menus with prices so we could understand what we were supposed to pay. Usually, olives, chips, etc., aren't charged because they're included in the price of the glass. At €7 for a Roero, perhaps they should have been included. We've never paid service at a wine bar, and we had no idea about this either. We've tried other places in Reggio and have always been treated well. I have friends in Calabria and I've never had any complaints. Dear owner, thank you for the experience. Long live Calabria and the Calabrians.

12/10/2025: The coffee is good, as well as the staff. The croissant could be a bit better. I paid 3.50, so a bit too expensive.

30/08/2025: We sat down in the square in August at 8:45 PM, 11 of us. Orders were taken piecemeal and served haphazardly: first food without drinks, then half-finished drinks, and finally—when everyone had already finished—our celiac friend's gluten-free pizza, which he ate alone. Bread never arrived, drinks forgotten, pizzas from those who hadn't eaten never seen, despite numerous promises of preferential passage of our order (perhaps for the next day). The menu stated that a platter was "minimum for two people" at €32, but the staff's explanation was a puzzle: when we said there were eight of us, we were told that four platters was not enough; when we ordered five, we discovered that the platters were actually charged "per person" and not "per couple." In fact, the "platter for eight" had five pieces of each, so three people were left to watch. The menu was poorly written, and the order management was even worse. One of us, after being told several times that the pizza we'd chosen from the menu wasn't available, had to impatiently ask them to decide which pizza was available. The service was surreal: a single waiter (presumably the owner) would take the orders, leave them unfinished, and disappear for long minutes, while the others watched. When we complained, the owner never admitted a mistake: he told us that "you must have misunderstood, or I misunderstood," and urged us to stay calm "because I even gave you a front-row table to watch the concert," all with a joke that was more than out of place. Final justification? "It's chaotic in August, and it's a special night." With the square full but only 50 people in the dining room, it's pure incompetence; the chaos wasn't in his restaurant: if you don't know how to manage, you reduce the seating. In the end, we paid €20 each, including those who didn't eat. Disorganized, slow, arrogant, and even ironic about complaints: a disaster to be avoided!

14/08/2025: We ordered two pizzas, a Margherita and a Diavola with 'nduja, and were pleasantly surprised by their melt-in-your-mouth crust! The owner was incredibly kind and friendly, and we even met the pizza chef and congratulated him in person. This will definitely be our go-to pizzeria for our next trips to Palmi! 23/11/2025: Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was truly disappointing. First of all, the atmosphere was extremely cold: freezing air poured in through the windows, and sitting at the table was truly unpleasant. The food didn't improve the situation either. We ordered pasta with goat meat, but the dish was paltry and poorly prepared. The pasta was tough, almost raw, and the meat was equally tough and difficult to eat. Overall, an unsatisfactory experience, both in terms of the quality of the food and the condition of the restaurant. We won't be returning.

26/10/2025: A tasteless restaurant, unengaged service, the food was okay, but not the bill: a cover charge of €2 per person, but nothing in return (bread, a welcome drink from the kitchen), €2 for an unordered carafe of water, and the house wine comes from the bottle and costs €8 per glass. It all adds up.

21/11/2025: I only had a mixed fried fish. I've had much better food for the price I paid. Parking in the back. Large space with plenty of seating. Just steps from the sea. Friendly staff.

24/10/2025: Yesterday at lunch, it was the worst experience I've ever had, and one I'll never forget. The fish was unimaginable, and the quality of the ingredients was extremely poor. Not recommended.

10/12/2025: I purchased a basket for €100. Instead of the caciocavallo cheese, which was explicitly included in the basket, they arbitrarily and without consulting me replaced it with pecorino cheese, which in my opinion is of lesser value. I asked for an explanation and was told, without even an apology, that the caciocavallo cheese was out, so they decided to send another one, without consulting me! Clearly, they didn't remedy the situation in any way and never responded to me again. Imagine the disappointment of buying one item and having it sent to you. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE!!!!!!!!!!

25/10/2025: Hello, today we ate at this restaurant, but in our opinion it was Oscar-worthy. We have never tasted meat dishes like these, they surpass the excellence. We will definitely return soon and as a group to taste other delicacies from this restaurant, which in our opinion is number one. Thank you for everything. NB: the waitress was very kind and professional, thank you very much.

03/08/2025: Aperitivo da EURO 10 qualità pessima. Molto da rivedere, non una buona esperienza. Ci si aspettava una qualità migliore viste alcune recensione positiva.

01/08/2025: Ottimo spaghetto con le vongole, cremoso e saporito. Gli involtini di pesce spada non ci sono piaciuti così come il primo con pesce spada e melanzane. Buona la frittura di calamari. I prezzi a mio parere troppo alti. 4 persone 4 primi e 3 secondi abbiamo pagato 170 euro.

10/08/2025: Brazilian Aperitif: A Pleasant Discovery at "I Cornetti" I had the pleasure of trying the Brazilian aperitif at "I Cornetti" and was extremely satisfied. It was my first time with this type of aperitif, and the experience was excellent, thanks in part to the impeccable service. Much of the credit goes to the very kind and knowledgeable Sara, who guided us through our selection with professionalism and a smile. The aperitif was truly excellent and was a pleasant surprise, demonstrating the quality and originality of the establishment's offerings. To accompany the drink, we were served savory croissants filled with mozzarella and cooked ham, which stood out for their delicateness and freshness. A perfect, light pairing that made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend stopping by "I Cornetti" to try their specialties, and especially their exquisite Brazilian aperitif. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff make every visit a special experience.

04/10/2025: Beautiful and suggestive place in Punta Pezzo, with a view of the Strait of Messina, very suggestive I had an equally good and exquisite ice cream brioche, served by the barista Giulia who filled me a mega brioche with ice cream and cream, I highly recommend coming to this ice cream shop!!!!

25/07/2025: Sadly not a Pizzeria, but really delicious light savoury snacks served warm. Nice Messina beer. And Fantastic!, Delicious ice creams. Really good service from the people there, especially a helpful young male. Not perfect English spoken, but far, far better than my attempts at Italian.

13/10/2025: Austere atmosphere, minimal service, unappealing and mediocre quality dishes.

28/09/2025: Nice place, all seafood, mediocre appetizer, very long wait times, since it wasn't even full. They made us wait almost half an hour for an appetizer and another half an hour for a very poor main course. The waiter and owner were rude, eating during service rather than paying attention to the customers. We will never return.

19/09/2025: We went to dinner at this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. The location is beautiful, with an enchanting view of Scilla. We ordered exquisite fried fish and excellent mussels with pepper as an appetizer. The first courses were exceptional: DELICIOUS linguine with sea urchins, and delicious paccheri stuffed with ricotta and swordfish. We continued with stuffed swordfish rolls and a swordfish steak of the highest quality. Excellent service, with unparalleled friendliness and kindness from the waiters. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommended! We'll be back!
