15/05/2025: I regret not reading the reviews before booking. It would have saved us a wasted day for our children and saved us adults hard-earned money! In fact, I agree with all the negative reviews: no welcome, independent tours of the farm (calling it that is an insult) without any form of guidance or enthusiasm for the children, dusty toys, dilapidated and unsafe playground equipment throughout the grounds, and no care. Nothing that was advertised matched the reality. The only ones who were smiling were the rats (I said rats, not mice) that ran around undisturbed, even near the kitchen area! Anyone who denies this is lying!

04/01/2026: Today, January 4th, we had lunch at All’Antica Filanda, in the Giardini della Sila, and it was a wonderful experience. Platters of high-quality local cured meats and cheeses, authentic and well-presented ingredients. The first courses were fantastic, with authentic flavors that reflect the local area. A special thanks to Nicola, the owner: a truly friendly, welcoming person who makes you feel at home right away. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

07/09/2025: Good service, just one waiter, though tattooed like a notepad, fairly quick and capable. The meat was well-cooked, and the side dishes were more than plentiful. In a three-star grill restaurant that serves so much good meat, you can't have a single, unknown beer you've never tasted, only a 33cl bottle. And for wine, only a 3/4 bottle. One star because at the end, I asked for amaro and he brought out a large, unlabeled bottle, claiming it was house amaro. It tasted a lot like leftover cocktails.

04/09/2025: We stayed at this hotel for just one night, passing through the Calabrian mountains. The room had been booked at least twenty days in advance, but I wasn't told that Monday is the restaurant's weekly rest day. The hotel, in fact, functions primarily as a banquet restaurant and, secondarily, as a hotel, mostly for ceremonies with guests traveling and therefore staying for one or more nights. We were therefore greeted by a waiter instructed by the manager to come to the hotel for our arrival. We arrived at the hotel in the early afternoon and were assigned a charming room, all furnished in wood, certainly in a style appropriate for a mid-mountain location like Spadola. However, there was no air conditioning, so it was warm (the sun was shining on it, as you can see in the photo), and it most likely hadn't even been ventilated the night before! Fortunately, the temperature dropped that evening, and the discomfort subsided. The rooms do not have mini-fridges, and the balcony connects to adjacent rooms. This means the shutters must be closed for obvious security reasons, unless someone you trust is staying nearby. The next morning's breakfast was a bit disappointing, as there were no pastries, no other sweets, no yogurt, no fruit, only packaged snacks or biscuits, along with, of course, milk, tea, and coffee. We didn't even have a chance to meet the manager on the day of departure, so we were instructed to pay the waiter who greeted us upon arrival. The hotel is pet-friendly, but I honestly didn't dare take my dog ​​out, as there were three dogs roaming the hotel grounds, and one of them was visibly bothered by my dog. A word of advice to the management...don't offer accommodations on the day the restaurant is closed, because assistance is essential! A warm welcome and customer service can help mitigate any potential shortcomings or even make an already pleasant stay even better. If this is your management policy, given that it was a stay booked well in advance, at least consider offering a more thoughtful breakfast! In all the years we've spent vacationing in Calabria, we've never seen packaged snacks for breakfast, not even in B&Bs, let alone in a hotel that's primarily a restaurant 😕🤔...

11/04/2026: The pasta with swordfish was excellent! The carbonara with cream, so not exactly traditional, but still delicious. The location by the sea was, of course, a dream.

11/04/2026: Finding ourselves on the Scilla seafront, we decided to have lunch at this restaurant. Two words: dirty and expensive. The wait for the food was normal, but the quantity was ridiculous and the product was of low quality. The price was definitely not in line with the food. 2 swordfish sandwiches (empty) 2 appetizers and 1 fried dish €120 Dust in the glasses and plates. In short... everything needs to be reconsidered. Our only mistake was not leaving immediately.

27/08/2025: The hotel proudly retains its original appearance, yet remains well-maintained. The room amenities are impeccable. Maria Luisa, her husband, and their daughter Ivana were extremely kind and helpful. The location is strategic for exploring the entire Costa Degli Dei, from Pizzo Calabro to Capo Vaticano. Bars and supermarkets are just steps away. The value for money is excellent. Highly recommended.

26/08/2025: An experience so surreal it seemed like a comedy sketch... if it hadn't been real. We were kicked out of the tavern for no clear reason, with anything but courteous manners. The welcome? Nonexistent. The politeness? Lost among the daily specials. In an era when restaurants should focus entirely on hospitality and quality service, here they have confidently chosen the opposite path. If you're looking for good food accompanied by a human and civilized atmosphere, look elsewhere. Here, they serve (perhaps) warm dishes, but decidedly cold hearts.

09/08/2025: Dishes are prepared based on market-sourced fish. Some dishes can be customized. Meatballs, fried anchovies, and mussels are highly recommended.

05/10/2025: We were visitors from Budapest and found the pizzeria accidentally in Parghelia. We ate pizza and drank wine,3 people. The food tasted good,the atmosphere was like home and the final sum was too low. The proprietor would deserve a higher income in our opinion. It is a respectful pizzeria indeed.

08/10/2025: This was a great find - wonderful, heart-made food, great clean flavors. We were there after the end of the season, so it was just the two of us and the owner, who cooked for us and then told us about Italian life and culture. Thank you very much! One of the best moments from Italy!

28/09/2025: I'm the guy who felt bad. After your rude responses to my guests (well done!), I'm writing something too. NO ONE asked for the complimentary dinner; in fact, we immediately paid the bill (which was quite expensive). It's incredible to make up stories after your behavior. If you want, I'll teach you the ropes: after someone finds a BUGS on their plate, at least you get the cost of the appetizers. Let's see if you still have the courage to write half a response. Shame on you.

10/01/2026: I had the (negative) experience as a couple celebrating New Year's Eve on December 31, 2025, at Villa Ermenegilda. Actually, it felt more like being at the Ice Palace than in a reception hall, a cold evening. It was immediately clear that the heating, which was improvised at that, had been turned on perhaps an hour before the event, yet on the phone they had said the place was well heated, considering the ladies were wearing more modest clothing. The waiter service was completely unorganized and in a state of absolute confusion. Several times, people asked for a bottle of wine at the table, but the bottle never arrived. Then there was the food, I found nothing interesting: the pasta was undercooked, the rice, and, let's not even mention pre-cooked. Then there was the panettone served at the table, which was more or less like the kind bought at some discount store and served alongside the lentils and cotechino. Let's not even talk about the restroom area—the only bathroom in a freezing cold part of the villa, with cobwebs and mold everywhere—and it was clear the place had been closed for a while. There's much more to say, because I wasn't the only one complaining about the rest. Alas, €100, let's say donated to charity. This was my first time here, and my only time.

20/12/2025: The ambiance is meticulously maintained, with efficient and helpful service. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the food. We ordered the classic Roman pinza, whose overall flavor was decidedly saltier than it should be, with a slightly bitter aftertaste of oil on the surface that overpowered the delicate tomato and mozzarella. The dough was under-risen, making the base rather compact and less soft than one would expect from a true Roman pinza. Finally, the price was high for the quantity and quality offered. I'm sorry, but we won't be returning.

25/10/2025: I've eaten here several times in the last week with my family. The restaurant is nice and well-themed. The menu is comprehensive and varied. The staff was courteous. The food was overall good and well-presented. The service was quick (though there were few people). Neither I nor my family had any particular complaints, as reported in some comments. The price per person was in line with restaurants in shopping malls.

19/08/2025: I visited this restaurant with a group of friends, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Two dishes from our order were completely forgotten and were only served after we pointed out the omission to the staff. Meanwhile, everyone else had already finished their food, and we found ourselves starting dinner after the rest of the table had already finished. This completely ruined the atmosphere of the evening. Such a lack of attention to service is unacceptable, especially in a place that should be at least minimally organized. We definitely won't be returning!

29/10/2025: Beautiful venue right on the beach. Service was very nice. Some of menu items were not available for lunch which is understandable. We would recommend this restaurant for the view alone.

21/09/2025: I've had lunch twice at this restaurant with its enchanting view. I was on vacation with friends and would have returned several times given the quality of the food and the tranquility of the place, but we were mocked for tactical menu changes like, "Oh! We don't have this seafood appetizer (20 euros) today, but if you want, I'll bring you octopus and marinated anchovies." They didn't specify that they become two separate dishes, and you pay 20 euros for two tentacles and 20 euros for 8 anchovies. So your seafood appetizer becomes a starred appetizer for 40 euros. The receipt never arrived. We were wrong not to ask for anything at the time, but we were on a happy, carefree vacation and only later realized we'd been a bit ripped off.

05/04/2026: My fiancé and I came here almost every day specifically for the arancini – we tried all the varieties. You can choose from vegetarian options with mozzarella and spinach (the spinach is barely noticeable, but the overall flavor is still great), with onions, with nduja, and with ragu. Each one is delicious and definitely worth trying, although they could be a bit more seasoned. My fiancé also ordered a pizza by the slice – it was okay. The Aperol was very good, and the coffee was also a plus. It's worth visiting just for the arancini.

18/02/2026: I ordered a steak, the meat was poor quality, it was hard to cut, it tasted strange. I didn't get the side dish I ordered even after half an hour of sitting in the restaurant. When I told the waiter about it, I didn't get a response until the third time. The pasta we ordered was average. Unfortunately, the food looked better than it tasted.

11/04/2026: It's a lovely place to sit, but as is so often the case, there's a service charge for the few chips if you take even one. Even if you don't take any, check the bill! It was a nice try for us…

05/03/2026: A place where you can eat freely. The food is delicious and the dishes are beautiful. The prices are reasonable.
