08/09/2025: September 8th: Terrible welcome, rude staff. "You have to be completely right or you'll be kicked out." These were the words, perhaps just because they're young. However, it's not acceptable for customers to always be right, even if they can be fanatical. Otherwise, this place has nothing to offer. There's no music. The only problem is the sunbeds and the unpleasant staff. I'll add that I just left the beach, and after reading the review, they even made fun of me.

25/08/2025: Gorgeous location, on Paola's stunning seafront. They have a restaurant, bar, and beach club, and have been family-run for many years. The outdoor spaces could definitely use some updating, but overall, I appreciated the fact that they were open on the seafront, which is already sadly deserted these days with many restaurants empty. They were even serving fresh croissants at 11 p.m., which was great. Fast service and fair prices. As for the fish dinner (don't you dare order meat here), the food is fresh and generally good. They also have a children's menu, and free parking is available in front of the restaurant. A place with tons of potential, but unfortunately, it hasn't quite blossomed as it deserved.

14/09/2025: I can't recommend this B&B at all. At €75 per person including meals, it was the most expensive and worst. It's outside of Girifalco, and the restaurant at the B&B is closed, so you're taken to another restaurant in the evening. The B&B has no charm at all, and at €50 including breakfast, it's absolutely the most expensive and also the worst we've had. The breakfast isn't anything special as advertised, but just a simple one with a lot of pre-packaged, unfresh things. As I said, it's way too expensive for this standard. It's worth a maximum of €60 for two, including breakfast. We even had to pay extra for the food, even though we were told it was all included. You really have to be careful here. Additionally, no documents are taken, and payment is made in the restaurant. It's all a bit strange. We would never stay here again; we felt ripped off and didn't feel comfortable at all. So it's better to cycle one stop to the next town.

14/09/2025: Please continue driving. The B&B is unfortunately not recommended...the restaurant is closed, and unfortunately, no overnight stay with breakfast can be booked, so you're forced to take half board. €75 per person. In the evening, you have to wait until they drive you up the mountain to the restaurant (we didn't feel comfortable and felt like we were being controlled by someone else). The restaurant had zero service and ambiance, and the food was mediocre at best. Then we had to pay even more because we ordered "too much." They told us everything was included...(normally, we would have only had pizza and a salad, but for the fixed price of "half board," that would have been too cheap). It was all very dubious. The breakfast was a lot of ready-made and pre-packaged stuff, which doesn't make any cyclist happy and is definitely a disgrace for the price. The cats also scratch the bikes, so we put them in. The room was okay, but compared to the other accommodations along the bike path, it was simply overpriced.

12/09/2025: We went for dinner two nights in a row. The first night, we ordered two pizzas. The second night, we ordered a plate of seafood pasta, which was good, and a plate of tagliatelle with mushrooms, which I wasn't happy with because, upon eating it, I immediately realized it was frozen food from the "quattro salti in padella" brand. If this is the treatment, I don't think we'll be back.

07/08/2025: Although the food was good, the owner and staff were an absolute disaster. I ordered a meal and one drink – a 1-liter bottle of cola. The waiter brought a smaller one, so I pointed it out, and he exchanged it for the one I had ordered. But when it came time to pay, I discovered that the bill was too high. I went to the staff to ask them to correct the mistake, but no one spoke English. I tried to communicate using a translator on my phone, but the owner completely ignored it. He said the cola had been ordered and opened (by the waiter), so I had to pay for it. I tried to explain that it wasn’t fair, but he didn’t listen to me at all. In the end, he rudely told me that since I was in Italy, I should speak Italian, not English. In my opinion, this was totally inappropriate, and the owner was very aggressive – he made rude gestures and spoke to us in a disrespectful way. One thing is certain – I will never go back there again

21/09/2025: Excellent pizzeria, Neapolitan pizza with a well-leavened crust. The staff is super friendly and available to answer any questions! I highly recommend this pizzeria!

11/05/2025: The place has permanently closed this location. In its place Löwengrube restaurant with German specialties opened

02/09/2025: I went there for dinner with some friends, but I wasn't thrilled. There was a wide selection of typical appetizers, but the first course selection was practically nonexistent. Even the meat, despite the large grill, left much to be desired. We asked for a steak; since we didn't have one, we were served a slice that, cooked alongside other meats without checking the cooking times, was completely charred and tough. We had to ask for another.

05/10/2025: The pizzas by the slice are good, as are the arancini and potato croquettes. The panzerotto, called a calzone, is special, similar to the fried one in Brindisi but sweeter. Overall, there's a good selection, it's a shame you can't find meatballs, which would be a great addition.

29/07/2025: The place needs to be renovated, at the moment it makes a bad impression

04/09/2025: The place is located in a fairytale natural setting, practically attached to the picturesque olive tree rock, and this is the main feature. It's a shame, however, that the spaces of the structure are very retro and poorly maintained, as are the rooms. Overall, we were welcomed well, although perhaps given the tiredness of the end of the season, we had an adequate approach. My advice is not a criticism. It would take very little to improve and enrich the structure and offer more modern comforts in step with the times, given the current cost line.

19/08/2025: I had dinner at this restaurant, mostly seafood-based. I'd particularly like to mention the struncatura with local tuna, a generous portion and exceptional quality—a must-try! The spaghetti with clams was excellent, and the pizza was excellent! The unparalleled view of the Scoglio dell'Ulivo and the sound of the waves provide a splendid backdrop. Recommended.

30/07/2025: Cena a base di pesce, materie prime di qualità eccellente; servizio impeccabile; location accogliente; ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ci ritornerò per deliziarmi degli altri piatti proposti dallo chef.

10/09/2025: The place is very nice, strategically located, and we ate well. The service was efficient, the dishes arrived relatively quickly, and the waiter (or owner) who served us was slightly suspicious and a bit too serious, but he still managed to do his job.

18/08/2025: I stayed at the Hotel Lo Scoiattolo long enough to recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant, relaxing stay. The staff deserves five stars for their kindness and hospitality...especially Sandra, who manages the spa, who guided us through the entire experience with kindness and knowledge. Kudos also to the staff in the dining room and the receptionist. Dinner and breakfast were plentiful and high-quality. My only suggestion for the spa experience: given the number of people who can use it, it would be advisable to turn on all the hot tubs to avoid long waits, and to raise the temperature of the pool that is not being used by everyone because it is too low. Recommended.

21/06/2025: I have been there several times. Exceptional, staff always very helpful, I happened to have to cancel a reservation at the last minute due to a family problem and I only lost a very small deposit left at the time of booking. They did not ask me for anything else.

03/08/2025: Aperitivo da EURO 10 qualità pessima. Molto da rivedere, non una buona esperienza. Ci si aspettava una qualità migliore viste alcune recensione positiva.

01/08/2025: Ottimo spaghetto con le vongole, cremoso e saporito. Gli involtini di pesce spada non ci sono piaciuti così come il primo con pesce spada e melanzane. Buona la frittura di calamari. I prezzi a mio parere troppo alti. 4 persone 4 primi e 3 secondi abbiamo pagato 170 euro.

09/08/2025: Unpretentious, mediocre street-front location, poorly maintained, food from a menu with per-course prices typical of a respectable restaurant. Unfortunately, what we ate didn't reflect its value at all. Nothing fresh was present, and the products were defrosted, as stated on the menu, lacking flavor or culinary expertise. A steep bill for bland dishes.

22/08/2025: I had a chocolate milkshake, I have to say it was quite good, but €4.00 for 300ml is a steal, I expected at least €450.
