16/05/2025: Abbiamo cenato in coppia in posizione prossima al nostro hotel, in una sala accogliente e con camerieri gentili e professionali. Siamo stati molto soddisfatti dei piatti caratteristici (in particolare il "trittico") cucinati in modo gustoso e innaffiati dal loro buon vino locale. Inoltre il rapporto qualità/prezzo è ottimo.

Cucina locale, casereccia, locale intimo ed accogliente . Se passate per Rionero, non esitate e fermatevi. PS Il trittico lucano è da provare

19/05/2025: Sunday lunch. Booked in advance. The place was packed beyond capacity, even blocking the wheelchair ramp. The food didn't arrive. After the appetizer, which wasn't enough for the number of people we were, we decided to leave. It was impossible to continue in that chaos and we had been at the table for almost two hours. The owner treated us terribly, very arrogant. We paid too much for the misery they brought us.
12/05/2025: It was an experience to forget. Since the restaurant was full, the staff immediately seemed very annoyed at having to be there, but apart from that, there is no menu so you eat what is told to you verbally without a price or an indication of allergens or whether it is frozen or not. After ordering, we first received the pasta with tomato sauce for the children (cold), then the appetizers in measly portions because, we discovered later, they had mixed up the table orders and so we ate (and paid) for a table of 8, but with portions for a table of 4.
The worst is yet to come, in fact the second courses arrived before the first courses and despite this the meat was cold and we had to send it back because it tasted rancid, as if it had been cooked and left there. Disgusted, but still respectful and polite, we wanted to address the problem to the cashier, but avoiding unnecessary confrontations; except that the lady at the checkout started shouting, pointing at us and saying "they're waiting because they want to argue". Well dear lady, if we had wanted to argue we would have had every reason, because you don't give spoiled food to people, especially at a table with two two year old children. We (over)paid and left certain that you will never see us again because that's not how you work in a serious way, I'm sorry for other unfortunate people who, like us, will stumble upon your ineptitude.

22/04/2025: I booked for Easter and found myself in a wedding context. Arrived at 1pm and left at 7pm waiting for courses that arrived within an hour of each other. The fixed menu was not bad, but the agreed request for a fish menu was not satisfied. Being Easter I would have expected at least the dove.

Falta de limpieza.

22/06/2025: Despite the helpful staff, after a sleepless night due to the humidity in the room, we preferred to leave the hotel. Although the staff admitted the problem, they asked for payment for the night not used, offering me a discount of €20, an almost offensive discount in the face of an obvious disservice. I would add that on the morning of departure a hotel technician was trying to repair the air conditioning, perhaps necessary to improve the situation, which in my opinion was unacceptable. All the good things that the hotel offers are ruined by this unfortunate aspect. Highly discouraged.
25/03/2025: We stayed in this "neighborhood" property in Sasso Cavoso. The cave rooms are carefully renovated and very comfortable. Very good buffet breakfast, with also typical products. The owners are really kind and helpful. Beautiful stay.

21/05/2025: They hosted a school trip and immediately took advantage of it, absolutely inedible food and unproposable quality, third world stuff. I strongly advise against it.
21/05/2025: Hanno ospitato una gita scolastica e ne hanno subito approfittato, cibo assolutamente immangiabile e di qualità improponibile, roba da terzo mondo. Addirittura il formaggio sulla pasta aveva sapore di muffa e la cotoletta la potevi usare per freesbee. Lo sconsiglio vivamente. Non è stato nemmeno rispettato il menu proposto in fase contrattuale. Eppure abbiamo pagato. I bambini sono tornati a casa digiuni.

23/06/2025: Amazing views with average food, expensive food. The pizza was fine but that's about it, also the most expensive pizza I've had in Italy. The 3 Euro service charge per person is ridiculous. You're better off going somewhere else.

12/05/2025: Sehr freundlich. Haben uns wie Freunde behandelt. Sehr guter Cappuccino und Croissants usw. Wunderbare kleine Aussichtsterasse. Waren in 2 Tagen 3x dort, weil es uns so gut gefallen hat.

22/07/2025: Abbiamo trascorso una serata durante la settimana con amici, siamo rimasti molto delusi dalla lunga (40 minuti circa)attesa delle pizze visto che la pizzeria era quasi vuota e dal prezzo finale. La location è tipica dei sassi e la pizza è 4 su 5 come voto.
Abbiamo pagato 13€ cadauna per una birra artigianale e 30€ per 10 sporca musso. Diciamo che abbiamo considerato il prezzo finale alto.
Inoltre nell'attesa delle pizze abbiamo notato che il proprietario tra una comanda e l'altra stava mangiando accanto a noi, scena poco cortese per un cliente. Sicuramente la prossima volta eviteremo questo locale.
20/06/2025: Service pitoyable commande prise 1 h après notre arrivée, amabilité zéro , le premier mange et le dernier mange 45 mn plus tard ...nul .

09/03/2025: Bella giornata di sole , arriviamo alle 14:00 a Monticchio, molti dei principali ristorantini sono ancora chiusi, aperto solo il Mapalù risto pub, un gentiluomo che ci accoglie: “ aspettavamo solo voi!” Ci accomodiamo dentro, fa ancora un po’ freddino , ordiniamo un solo antipasto, un primo ed un secondo da dividere in coppia. La scelta delle portate è limitata ad un solo tipo di antipasto ed un solo primo, per i secondi 4 le scelte, di cui tre a base di maiale ed una di vitello. Dopo 50 minuti di logorante attesa finalmente arriva l’ antipasto con un adeguato quantitativo di salumi ma con due tristissime “ostie” di un non ben indentificato formaggio ed una sottilissima fettina di pecorino. Il gentiluomo commenta la velocità con cui abbiamo divorato l’antipasto… per la serie: “uhh so’ arrivati i polli di questa domenica, mo li sfotto un po’” (ho immaginato io ) . Dopo dieci minuti ci serve il primo ( orecchiette alla lucana per cui previsti funghi e salsiccia) che, manco fossimo da Cracco a Milano, il gentiluomo ci sporziona in due piattini da frutta ( 🫣) che dire .. orecchiette sfatte sciape, incollate e soprattutto fredde, senza funghi, senza salsiccia e con un colorito appena aranciato ( ma ci stava il pomodoro amò? Boh? ), infine una porzione di carne arrostita mista di maiale (ordinata per una persona) due fette .. ops scusate volevo dire due solette di capocollo più tre salsicce anch’esse durissime ( cotte chissà da quante ore prima ) con due spicchi di limone e dieci foglie di rucola scondita! alla fine la cosa più ironica … il conto : abbiamo pagato l’ antipasto per uno 16€, il primo 12€ ( corretto) il secondo ( anch’esso ordinato per una sola persona) 20€, il pane 3€ , un calice di vino a testa 4 €, il coperto 2€ a testa … 63 € in tutto. Esperienza da dimenticare, meno male siamo ancora innamorati! Grazie
