We took a mixed appetizer from Camilla, a gnocchi with pistachios and a pasta and potatoes with provola. A mixed grill with side dishes and desserts. The price is in line with what we got, not cheap but fair. Advised.

17/12/2024: I have returned, for the umpteenth time, to this restaurant and I must confirm with great pleasure what I have already written previously. The very pleasant atmosphere of the place and the cordial welcome of the two owner brothers prepare you for a lunch that will certainly be remembered for the quality of the dishes (all from the gastronomic tradition of Central Abruzzo but with a skilful mix of innovations by Tina and Marcella who work in the kitchen under the watchful eye of Mamma Lucia (a living monument of catering in the city of Sulmona). If we then add the type of room service carried out by Marco and Giacomo with their collaborator Emilio, absolutely flawless due to the consolidated precision and courtesy, we understand why eating in the Ristorante da Gino is always a very pleasant experience and why the restaurant is a sure point of reference in the gastronomic panorama of the city of Sulmona.

06/12/2024: Family-run place where professionalism, competence, friendliness and friendliness in the service are included in the price and where the customer feels pampered. When I'm in Sulmona it's an obligatory "stop": it's always nice to go back!!! The cuisine is excellent, it's a shame it's closed in the evening for dinner. Better to book.

28/01/2025: I was passing through Sulmona with my family and I thought I had come to the right typical place. Unfortunately, however, we were not satisfied with the starter, as it costs 24 euros and is really skimpy; The parmigiana, on the other hand, is excellent, with good roasted meats and potatoes. For the first courses, however, we encountered problems: one of the owner brothers made a mistake in transcribing the order and therefore we had a completely different first course from the one requested; the other first one was ok. The pinsa was not good: the dough was acceptable, but the sauce was raw, the buffalo mozzarella wasn't buffalo mozzarella and the raw ham was cut too thick. The desserts are good, as are the beers on tap Therefore I would recommend the place only for some dishes; and also for the location as it is convenient being in the center.

10/02/2025: Excellent food and welcoming atmosphere Last night we chose San Filippo in Piazza Garibaldi for a family dinner, and as always the experience was perfect. The environment is welcoming and informal, but without sacrificing comfort, creating the ideal atmosphere to spend a pleasant evening. We ordered several pizzas, crispy and well seasoned, which won over everyone, even those who usually prefer softer dough. Personally, however, I wanted to try something different and I chose the sliced ​​chicken with radicchio. They explained to me that cooking follows a particular procedure: first under vacuum, then on the grill with spices. The result? Simply divine! Even the first salt with mixed salad and walnuts proved to be a very pleasant surprise. In the past I have tried other dishes on the menu, such as rice with pumpkin and dried sausage, which is really worth trying. But the real icing on the cake of the evening were the desserts: a spectacular tiramisu and a cheesecake so inviting that the photo speaks for itself. In short, a place we will definitely return to several times to explore the entire menu! 🍽️✨

In the last dinner I attended I tried one of their pizzas, mozzarella, pistachios, stracciata di bufala and mortadella, what can I say... simply delicious! Arianna and Manuel's welcoming and professional service immediately put us at ease and made us feel welcomed. I highly recommend everyone to try it and taste the menu in all its facets.
