26/10/2025: It was nice to eat something different while on our trip to the area. We just wanted some variety for a change. This definitely hit the spot. The waiter was a bit slow. We were the only people there, so not sure why, but he definitely took his sweet time to help us. The food was pretty good though so I'm happy with that

13/10/2025: The beauty of the location, the high-quality food, and the kindness of the staff are what sets Kukai apart from all the other sushi restaurants I've been to. The attention to detail, the precision of the cuts, and the freshness of the various types of fish served are jaw-dropping. All this while being pampered by the kindness and helpfulness of the entire staff. I highly recommend the 50-piece mixed platter. I'll definitely be back, well done!

02/11/2025: Superb sushi with a twist, all-you-can-eat option with ordering from the table via phone. The only downside is that it's a rather seedy and noisy place.

31/10/2025: I've been coming to this place for almost two years and have always had a good experience. However, in recent months I've noticed some changes that unfortunately impact the experience somewhat: the cooked tuna tastes different, it's more bitter, and it tends to overpower the other flavors in poke. Also, sometimes they forget some ingredients or add raw tuna instead of cooked tuna (or vice versa). For example, this evening, the raw salmon was missing from my bowl. A little tip: the mayonnaise applied on top and then closed with the lid often sticks, and it's a bit of a waste. Perhaps it would be better to add it to the bottom or serve it on the side. That said, the place remains a good choice and the staff is always welcoming. I always enjoy returning, and I hope you can take these comments as constructive feedback. 😊

23/10/2025: One star only thanks to the waiter, otherwise it would be zero. My daughter ate three pieces of chicken and felt sick. When they reported it, they said maybe she was already feeling sick, but I assure you, two minutes earlier, she was fine. Then there was some tuna that was very old, almost black, so I avoided it altogether. When it came to the bill, even though they knew my daughter hadn't eaten it, the waiter—the only positive note—did everything he could to avoid charging her by calling the owner, and what did he do? He said she had to pay a €5 cover charge. To avoid making a fuss, I paid and we ran away from that place. €50 wasted.

An all-you-can-eat experience that aims to minimize food waste while encouraging customers to savor each course and be equally satisfied without overdoing it. The dessert option at the end of the meal is interesting, as it stands out from the usual sweets found in every Japanese restaurant these days. Definitely worth a try! 😉

21/10/2025: It gave both my wife and I indigestion, which never happens. Also, paying €75 for an all-you-can-eat meal (which was also of terrible quality given the results) seems excessive to me.

But I was pleasantly surprised by the combination of flavors, the presentation of the dishes, and most importantly, the fresh, delicious fish. So, I decided to leave a review! 24/10/2025: The food is all good and fresh, and that goes without saying. The service is fast and efficient, with no excessive wait times. They've introduced a digital menu, which is certainly a step forward, but they still don't have the option to order directly from your tablet. It would be much more convenient to be able to manage your order yourself, as many other restaurants do now. As for the flavor combinations, I personally wasn't thrilled with them, although I understand that's a very subjective aspect. Overall, I recommend it; the food is very good.

02/11/2025: This Lido (an overpriced touristtrap) gives the whole of Ascea a bad reputation. The arrogant, out of control and aggressiv behavior of the management is a shame, and one wonders , why the local authorities dont have the balls to do something about it.

21/09/2025: Terrible experience, terrible welcome, and the typical attitude of those who are snobbish. They looked down on us simply because we had a box of pizza, which, considering the time (1:20 PM) and the traffic, we had bought on the street. They sarcastically told us they also make pizza. We moved to the public beach even though we had paid for an umbrella and two lounge chairs.

28/11/2025: Excellent dining experience! Delicious sushi, attentive service, and a pleasant atmosphere! My only suggestion is to use a topping on the flambéed nigiri and to use less rice. The parking lot is 300 meters away. A new go-to spot for sushi! Congratulations!

14/11/2025: I'm of the opinion that seriousness and punctuality come before food. The first time I thought it was a coincidence, the second time I thought it was due to the weekday crowds, but the third time I realized it's a lack of seriousness. For the third time in a row that I've ordered food from a waitstaff and they give me a time, I punctually arrive on time and find myself waiting 20 to 30 minutes while they say: 5 minutes and it's ready; keeping in mind that there is no parking, so I find myself circling the entire block 4-5 times until I park 500 meters away and go on foot to wait there for the order to be fulfilled. It's the last time I'll buy.

08/07/2025: I have been there several times with my family, believing that the fish was of quality (despite the rudeness and unfriendliness of the waitresses) but since the last time we had to change our minds also regarding the authenticity, excellence of the food.. 3/4 of us felt bad with our stomachs and we had to leave the restaurant... as already reported before, one of the girls was more rude than the other... never again
