As soon as you enter, you feel welcomed like family. The atmosphere is warm, the staff is friendly and always smiling. The food is excellent, fresh and carefully prepared, with authentic flavors that are evident from the first bite.
A place you'll want to return to, not just for the good food but for how it makes you feel.
Highly recommended!!

25/10/2025: We went to this restaurant for the first time last night, and what can I say? We were all pleasantly surprised. There were five of us, including a newborn.
The place is very intimate, we felt at home. The guys and the owner were so sweet and impeccable, both in their service and courtesy, and in small touches like serving the women first. The quality and presentation of the food was immediately clear, and it was on another level. Everything was truly exquisite. It was a super pleasant experience, and I will definitely be back.

The sushi was excellent, with very fresh, high-quality fish. Everything was carefully prepared, from the service to the presentation. Highly recommended!
The only flaw was the rice, which was perhaps a little undercooked; otherwise, everything was perfect.

15/07/2025: We're not particularly expert in Japanese cuisine, but all the dishes we were offered were top-notch, both in terms of the quality of the ingredients and their flavors! The aesthetics and plating were meticulously crafted, in keeping with the best Japanese traditions. The staff were very attentive, discreet, and professional! Excellent service. Prices were in line with the quality of the dishes. This place deserves full marks!
28/04/2025: This is not an all you can eat, but finally a restaurant with excellent Japanese-style dishes, quality fish, original combinations, excellent service, proper wines and cocktails. For those who really want to experience the difference, for those who can't stand the usual low quality Sushi restaurants, this place is worth the effort and the expense. The quality may not be cheap, but the difference with the rest is abysmal. I recommend it and will return as soon as possible. Generous portions, I ordered many things, I left super full and satisfied. See you soon

11/01/2026: I went to the restaurant and I have to say that both the service and the food were good.
We had two beers, two ramen noodles, and four takoyaki noodles, and the total cost was €71.
The price seems really excessive for a dish like ramen. I think the restaurant raised the prices to offer greater discounts on TheFork.
I don't think it's entirely fair to customers who find themselves booking without an app.

26/10/2025: It was nice to eat something different while on our trip to the area. We just wanted some variety for a change. This definitely hit the spot. The waiter was a bit slow. We were the only people there, so not sure why, but he definitely took his sweet time to help us. The food was pretty good though so I'm happy with that
13/10/2025: The beauty of the location, the high-quality food, and the kindness of the staff are what sets Kukai apart from all the other sushi restaurants I've been to. The attention to detail, the precision of the cuts, and the freshness of the various types of fish served are jaw-dropping.
All this while being pampered by the kindness and helpfulness of the entire staff.
I highly recommend the 50-piece mixed platter.
I'll definitely be back, well done!

08/12/2025: We stayed two nights over the Immaculate Conception long weekend.
The location is good, with immediate access to the historic center, convenient for getting around on foot and visiting the wonderful, characteristic neighborhoods of "Spagnoli," "Spaccanapoli," "Sotterranea," and "Sanità."
There's an excellent supermarket next to the property.
The breakfast was below average, considering the price we paid.
Paid parking is available; on the website, it's advertised at €25, but when we booked, they charged us €50 per day.
A pleasant walk takes you to the Royal Palace and the San Carlo Theater.
The only flaw I'd like to point out is that, despite the holiday season, the property isn't priced at €190 per night; in fact, on December 9th, it was reduced to €80.
Paying more than double for the same property, which has several flaws, is unjustified.
The room was small with a window overlooking the alley, the light-to-energy ratio was poor, and the air conditioning was unmanageable.
The sliding bathroom door didn't lock and wouldn't open on its own due to some faulty adjustment.
The staff was friendly and, like all Neapolitans, jovial and joking; except for the young man who greeted us upon arrival at 11:30 PM, who was a bit grumpy and sullen.

The portions are generous, and the value is excellent—really hard to find. The atmosphere is well-kept, clean, and very welcoming, perfect for both a dinner with friends and a special evening. The owner and his wife are very kind and helpful, 😘 as is all the staff: always smiling, polite, and attentive. I will definitely be back very soon. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The fried fish is equally delicious. I recommend it for its affordable quality and price. The staff is super friendly and always helpful.
