10/05/2026: On Friday, I had lunch at Yokohama with my wife, and I honestly think it was one of the best experiences we've had in recent years. I'm not just talking about the food, but the overall atmosphere that fills you as soon as you enter. The setting is elegant yet welcoming, perfect for a relaxed lunch as a couple, a special occasion, or an important dinner. We chose the business lunch with the sushi menu, which is served as a sort of meticulously curated bento box. The selection included truly excellent nigiri and maki. The fish was incredibly fresh, the quality evident at first bite, while the rice was simply perfect, just the right amount of firmness yet light. One thing I really appreciated was the proportion of fish on the nigiri. Many restaurants often overdo it with overly large or poorly balanced cuts. Here, however, each piece was carefully crafted to be savored just right. Then we had bao with homemade Iberian pork and a portion of otoro sashimi. And this is where things really take things to the next level. The bao were warm, soft, and full of flavor, with incredibly juicy meat. The otoro, on the other hand, was spectacular. It literally melted in your mouth like butter. But what makes Yokohama special isn't just the food. Rosy and Paolo are fantastic people, the kind who make you feel at home while maintaining impeccable service. We immediately struck up a wonderful connection, and I can confidently say we've found a new favorite. It's been a long time since I've had such a perfect lunch with my wife, so much so that I can barely remember the last experience that left me with this feeling. I really can't wait to return to try the tasting menu.

I write these words with a hint of melancholy, after returning to what for me, since time immemorial, has been not just a restaurant, but a true refuge. I've been coming to Rucola since I was a boy; it saw me become a man, a husband, and a father. It's where I've celebrated the most important milestones in my family, from my children's first communion, with the certainty that we would be welcomed not as customers, but as longtime friends. Yesterday, sadly, I strongly felt the absence of what made this place special: Biagio's warm and ever-present welcome. The memories of Maurizio's Inter Milan that colored the shelves. That historic cuisine, made of unchanging flavors that tasted of home and security. Food is important, but the owners' smile was the secret ingredient that completed every dish. Entering La Rucola meant disconnecting from everything and feeling protected by a management team that put their heart and soul into it. ​I want to send a heartfelt greeting to all the people who have shaped the history of this restaurant and to all the customers who, like me, shared a part of their journey at those tables. 10/05/2026: Terrible experience and irritating management. After a full 40 minutes of waiting in complete oblivion, I had to physically go and ask for the menu since no one had yet shown up at the table. The most frustrating thing was the waiters' total indifference: they kept coming by, systematically ignoring us, making us feel like second-class customers. The result? 2 hours and 10 minutes for an appetizer and a main course. An evening ruined by totally inadequate and disrespectful service.
