13/07/2026: For years, Alpino was an integral part of our Carinthian holidays. We always loved coming back, brought many friends, and everyone was always thrilled.
It's all the more difficult for us to say this, but the price increases of recent years have unfortunately spoiled our enjoyment. An Aperol Spritz went from €4 to €5 and finally reached €7 in the summer of 2026. Combined with the also-increased cover charge, dining out now even exceeds the prices in Austria. For us, the trip to Tarvisio is therefore no longer worthwhile.
It's truly a shame that this cherished tradition has been taken away from us. We will cherish the wonderful memories of our visits and the fantastic team.

The restaurant is priced in the normal mid-range.

21/06/2026: We arrived at the restaurant with our bikes just as a heavy rainstorm was starting. The owner was very nice and helpful, allowing us to load the bikes. We drank and ate coffee and pastries. A pleasant place with a good atmosphere.

The food was very good and the drinks perfect.
We'll gladly come back. Highly recommended.

16/07/2026: The bar looks like a bar, but the food, although the menu is modest, cannot be faulted, it is clearly freshly baked, the service is also nice, asking if everything is okay, if someone is hungry while passing by, I recommend it ;)

07/12/2025: Very friendly staff, delicious fresh sandwiches with a variety of fillings, and a wide variety of desserts, each one better than the last. Excellent cocktails, with a view of the Monte Lussari ski slopes.

Non-existent service: you sit down, the waiter looks at you, walks away, and then doesn't come back for your order. You ask him if he could please clean the table and bring you the menu, he looks at you and disappears...
It's true that Tarvisio always has a lot of customers, but after so many years of accepting this kind of service because there was no alternative, I'm now turning to new businesses that are much better in every respect.

30/07/2026: Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The venison was completely tasteless, drowned in water instead of a tasty, thick sauce. The presentation was pitiful. I've never eaten as badly in the mountains as I did here. Even the goulash was tasteless and tough; the meat should be like butter. It's just not up to par. The prices are high for both the quality and the very small quantity on the plate. Leaving hungry and leaving a €40 bill is definitely not an experience worth repeating. It's a shame because the place is beautiful and quaint, but the food is terrible.

03/02/2026: Incredible place, out of this world! Recommended by a friend, I stopped to eat at this mountain hut on the slopes, which I had never considered. The best frico of my life! The owners are truly friendly! The only thing is, don't think it's a restaurant; you have to go in with no expectations and you'll leave super satisfied.
