It was a wonderful holiday for me. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, catering to all tastes, as was dinner.
The owners and staff were very friendly and eager to accommodate every need.
The hotel is very close to the city center yet away from the hustle and bustle. Ample parking.
Bike rental available (which is a plus), and it's very close to the Alpe Adria cycle path. I highly recommend it.

20/09/2025: On the way from Italy near the border with Austria, we stopped here for a small lunch. Just by looking at it, from the outside or inside, you can see that the Dolomites end around the corner and the Alps begin. We arrived at lunchtime, it was full, the staff had a lot of work and orders, so they were not very talkative. The pizzas on the plates of the other guests already looked so classic, not completely Italian, but this Pizza Štangla was excellent. I recommend it to anyone who is not too hungry. The taste, presentation, and overall appearance of the food are all excellent. I can imagine coming here again in a quieter time and having peace of mind even with choosing a place according to your own needs, watching the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

15/11/2025: They wouldn't let us pay by card. The food was poor, with unmarked frozen items. The menu was unclear. The price was unjustified. The TV was blaring.
14/11/2025: Nestled among the mountains and greenery, this is a classic old-fashioned trattoria with delicious food and a classic mountain atmosphere.
The owners are very kind, and it's very affordable.

03/08/2025: Abbiamo ordinato un frico con i funghi e la cameriera è stata gentilissima perché nonostante fosse con la polenta me lo ha fatto fare con i funghi, il mio compagno delle ottime salsicce al sugo, lo consiglierei
16/06/2025: Una favolosa passeggiata ai laghi di Fusine, dopo Tarvisio. Ambiente meraviglioso dove prenotiamo per il pranzo. Qualche disguido all’arrivo (errato numero coperti, tavolo sulla terrazza dove batteva il sole) ma Jan è stato cortese e molto servizievole da farci passare i piccoli disagi ed inoltre tutti i piatti ordinati erano cucinati splendidamente dalla signora che si occupa della preparazione. Lo consiglio vivamente se vi troverete da quelle parti, noi sicuramente torneremo e vorremmo anche sperimentare l’alloggio ! Bravi 👌

We didn't order a second course because we were disappointed with what we had.

12/10/2025: We sat down for lunch with a group of friends. The menu included soup (Tortellini soup), main course (Boletus tagliatelle), dessert (Profiterol - chocolate, vanilla and pistachio). Local "craft beer" was the thirst quencher. Clean, nice environment with delicious food. We had to wait for a table because we came in from the street. We didn't have to wait long. Recommended category and place!

19/09/2025: Attention, the wrong bill is being issued here! I paid cash at the register today in a restaurant with a 100-euro note, and the change was €10 short. I suspect this was intentional, because the waiter only returned ten- and twenty-euro bills, placing them in a random order. He chatted to me occasionally—presumably to distract me.

19/10/2025: I highly recommend never stopping by this bar!! From the outside, it looks like a nice place, but once you step inside, the quality of the food leaves much to be desired. The staff is very cold and rude. We ordered four croissants, five coffees, and a cappuccino, and one of those croissants was even being fought over by another customer. Not to mention the lack of lactose-free options! We then politely asked for water, only to be faced with the bitter truth: €1 for a glass of water. This seems like a joke to me!
19/10/2025: Finally, a quality bar in Tarvisio and the surrounding area! Attention to detail and the right attention to customer service. Excellent products, from breakfast to aperitifs. Excellent wine selection; if you ask the staff, they even have more refined bottles not on the menu.

27/08/2025: We were hiking here and stopped for a bite to eat. Lovely atmosphere, very good pizza, and the view is impressive. 😍
I then had to try the tiramisu and was delighted. I definitely recommend this place! I'd love to come back.

30/10/2025: Our food was very good. Both the ribbon pasta with wild boar ragout and the seafood spaghetti were served quickly, cooked well, tasted great, and were quite generous portions.
The price was reasonable.
