20/04/2026: We stayed one night at Hotel Mathis, and overall, the experience was a mix of very positive aspects and others that could definitely be improved. The property is a charming little hotel, with a lovely historic tavern attached that's well worth a visit: the food is excellent and definitely worth the stop. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, but unfortunately, a certain inexperience in customer service was evident. Despite their friendliness, we didn't feel particularly welcomed as guests. The room, though small, was well-maintained, clean, and comfortable (the double pillows were much appreciated). However, we noticed a water leak from the ceiling. We didn't request a room change simply because we were staying one night and had already used the room, but we did report it. It was very hot that night, and the air conditioning wasn't working because the seasonal changeover hadn't yet been completed: an aspect that definitely needs to be addressed better. We had also booked dinner via the app, but we felt that canceling the reservation was almost more welcome than keeping it. Considering the problems we encountered, we would have expected at least a small gesture of thoughtfulness (even a symbolic one... even just offering a liqueur), which unfortunately didn't arrive. In short: a property with great potential, good food, and friendly staff, but it needs greater attention to detail and the overall guest experience.

18/02/2026: A very nice B&B. The room was small, there were three of us, but it was fine for one night. The room and bathroom were clean and had all the amenities. The breakfast was excellent. There's a lovely restaurant where you can have lunch or dinner, but I didn't use it. I definitely recommend this place for visiting the nearby Piacenza hills.

29/11/2025: The quality is very high; I really enjoyed the food. The service is excellent. The restaurant isn't very big, but it's comfortable and quiet. In my opinion, the value for money deserves 5 stars.

09/05/2026: The owners are extremely kind and helpful. The local cured meat platter is excellent and generous in portions. Important note: from May 9, 2026, the restaurant will be closed until October. Like every year, from mid-May, management will move to their historic restaurant with rooms located in the nearby hills.

14/05/2026: I stopped here to charge my electric car while passing through and was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and the staff quick. The food was very good, especially the tiramisu, which I highly recommend!

10/05/2026: Excellent location, close to the highway toll booth. I only had a coffee, but I noticed the attention to detail, the cleanliness of the environment, and the kindness of the owners. A huge playground, with flowers and plants that make you forget you're right next to the highway.

15/10/2025: We had a ramen, a poke bowl, dumplings and edamame. The poke bowl with teriyaki chicken was nice. The ramen was rather small. The edamame was overcooked and the dumplings were overpriced (4 dumplings for 5€). The worst thing was that we got everything in paper boxes!

23/05/2026: I purchased a modern cake from LAB24, and I must say I was truly impressed. The flavors were authentic, refined, and sophisticated, the likes of which are hard to find elsewhere. Each bite had a unique and memorable taste, setting it apart from the usual pastry shop. Silvia, the owner, was extremely kind and helpful. Due to a traffic delay caused by an accident, I arrived practically at closing time, but she was kind enough to wait for me without making me feel uncomfortable. The young woman at the counter was also truly charming, professional, and very courteous. She patiently answered all my questions and concerns, providing me with all the information I needed with great availability. I highly recommend this place. The prices are absolutely right for the quality of the products offered and the care they put into their work.
