15/02/2025: We went to the trattoria da Paeto for my mother's birthday and the experience was truly excellent! Starting from the appetizers, we tasted a horse meat tartare with truffle, simply delicious, and a mix of specialties with salami heated in a pan with polenta, shredded meat and a small tartare, all authentic and well-balanced flavours. As a first course, the gnocchi with butter and shredded meat were soft and tasty, with a simple but perfectly balanced sauce. The mix of meat for the second course was the real protagonist of the day: steak with horse sauce, stew, polenta and sliced ​​meat, all cooked to perfection and served in generous portions. To end on a sweet note, we chose meringue pie with eggnog and cream and a cheesecake with toffee and pralined almonds: both desserts were exquisite. The only small flaw was the baked potatoes, not all cooked evenly, but overall the lunch was exceptional. The service was impeccable, with kind and attentive staff, and the warm and welcoming atmosphere made the evening even more pleasant. The bill, 165 euros for 4, was absolutely adequate for the quality and quantity of the dishes. It's the second time I've come here, highly recommended for meat lovers!

I ate very well with a family service characterized by courtesy and kindness... but the final Apple Pie really shocked me and took me back in time... it had been years since I had tasted the cake made the way my grandmother used to make it... at the first bite I was blocked and suddenly I could smell and taste the cake that my beloved grandmother used to make me again! An indescribable experience! I thank you infinitely for taking me back in time in the memory of my grandmother! Of course every time I return to Bassano I will not be able to help but come back to visit you!

02/02/2025: Best bigoli with duck I've ever had (I've tried maybe 15 times around Italy). Very nice staff and there is a small changing table in the restroom for changing babies. The price for our lunch was very reasonable. It's tucked away on a side street, but worth finding.
