12/06/2026: Fantastic service, very friendly staff.
Our waitress was so kind and helpful, she recommended dishes and spoke very good English which helped.
One of our party accidentally ordered the incorrect dish but the restaurant replaced it with a delicious alternative dish for no charge and without any issue. They did not have to do this as we made the mistake!
We have been multiple times to this restaurant and ordered, pizza, and traditional Tuscan dishes which were all fantastic and for an affordable price.
Particular highlights - limoncello spritz, tartufo Cacio e Pepe, pizzas with a thin crisp base and tiramisu.

26/05/2026: We ate at this restaurant two evenings in a row. Since we arrived relatively early by Italian standards, we got a table for two without a reservation. The service was very friendly. However, you should allow plenty of time for the two-course meal (antipasti and main course). Everything takes quite a while, but you are rewarded with good food. The antipasti, in particular, was excellent. The pizza was a bit too dry for our taste.

10/07/2026: Unfortunately we rang three times whilst they were open and they did not answer. We drove all the way there and told us that they were fully booked. Even though they were only a few people in the restaurant. We had kids with us we would’ve left within the hour but they turned us away.
Update to response;
So failing to answer your phone three times and turning away customers is good customer service. I’m sure the views are great but the service is poor. The fact that you did not address any issues that I raised shows that you have no intention of improving your service. PS we arrived at 7:50pm not 830pm
31/05/2026: A restaurant surrounded by greenery with a beautiful landscape.
We had a house appetizer, a Florentine steak, assorted side dishes, and a shared dessert.
Fair prices and excellent food quality!
The owner is kind and friendly.

24/06/2025: Breakfast needs improvement. We were expecting a farm with local products, but none of that was offered. The interior of the accommodation needs updating! The location and the view are fantastic!

04/10/2023: This restaurant experience was our favorite in Tuscany. It’s a small family-run gem up in the hills of a tiny historic village called Mensano. You feel like you discovered it once you get there. It’s comfortable and not over adorned. Beautiful in its simplicity. The service was kind and efficient. The wine was the “house” and it was perfect and elegant, not expensive. The food was the ultimate highlight. So so so delicious - the hearty Tuscan vegetable or tomato soups we so good! I’m sure because of the quality of the ingredients. And the braised wild boar dissolved in my mouth. Clearly made with love by the dear woman and her brother who own it. I felt all my troubles dissolve as we enjoyed our dinner here, having a great conversation with the owner Roberto - in broken but understandable English- about his food, his family, his story. We left there full in our bellies and our hearts.
