11/10/2025: I had a wonderful time. The very kind waiter welcomed us and immediately brought us water, followed by a basket of fresh, warm bread.
The appetizers were good; we had crostini with liver and caramelized onion and crostini with pecorino cheese and truffle.
For the second course, a very good beef tartare with sautéed porcini mushrooms, truly delicious and tasty, and a fantastic tagliolini with truffle, equally tasty.
09/10/2025: The food was great, the service was fantastic, and everyone was friendly. We sat outside.

07/12/2025: The highlight of this restaurant is definitely the meat served with various types of salt. It's truly delicious and of the highest quality. The appetizers and first courses are also very well-prepared. The restaurant is small, and if you're upstairs, you'll be quite cramped—not ideal if you're looking for an intimate place to converse in peace.

Really beautiful location.

Visited on Saturday evening: the place was packed, the atmosphere chic and welcoming. The service was attentive and professional, despite the crowds. The menu is well-curated, with excellent options for those seeking gluten-free or lactose-free dishes—a highly appreciated rarity. The dishes were elegantly presented, with attention to detail. A perfect choice for a special evening in Varese. We'll definitely be back!

17/12/2025: I went to Trattoria La Ruota for dinner on Sunday evening. Google suggests it's a hotel, but we stayed at the trattoria/restaurant. The location is easy to reach and has parking (both on-site and nearby). The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, typical of a trattoria with an open oven for cooking food. The service was professional and courteous. The cuisine was much appreciated. We tried various dishes: appetizers, first courses, fried artichokes, and polenta with meat. We finished with a dessert, which was as delicious as it was beautiful. We also appreciated the limited bottle of Chianti red wine. Overall, a lovely place to spend a pleasant evening, whether as a couple or with friends.
16/12/2025: I haven't stayed there, my review only considers the restaurant....as always, when I want to eat good meat, I go to RUOTA....and what about the risottos? Delicious ❤️😘

The welcome was very friendly and welcoming, as was the excellent service.
We enjoyed a Tuscan menu, including bruschetta, cured meats, picci, and, of course, ciccia, accompanied by an excellent Tuscan wine.
The setting is quaint, with the added bonus of a fireplace at the back of the room. Highly recommended.
Convenient parking.

The appetizers and first courses were excellent.
For my taste, I preferred the Florentine rib eye steak.
A decent selection of wines, with excellent recommendations from the owner, who always knows how to give the best advice.
It's become a regular stop when I want to eat well and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere.
