04/03/2026: A truly delightful dinner at Da Salvatore – a Sicilian trattoria in Milan. The restaurant is beautifully appointed and welcoming, with an elegant atmosphere that tastefully evokes Sicilian tradition: ceramics, colors, and decorative details create a warm and refined atmosphere where you immediately feel at ease. I chose linguine allo scoglio, a dish prepared with great balance: ultra-fresh fish, flavorful yet delicate sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta. A flavorful dish, well executed and enhanced by a good glass of wine. To round out the dinner, some excellent Sicilian almond pastries, light, fragrant, and perfect for a sweet, yet not overwhelming, finish. A special thanks to the wife of the owner and chef Salvatore, who welcomes guests with great warmth and professionalism, carefully guiding them through the menu. Her presence contributes to making the experience even more enjoyable. A restaurant that elegantly expresses the flavors of Sicily in the heart of Milan. Definitely a place to return to.

23/03/2026: Excellent restaurant. The atmosphere is quaint, well-maintained, and welcoming. The dining room is small, and the acoustics are acceptable. The menu is remarkable, a true guided journey through Sicilian cuisine. Also noteworthy is the assistance provided by the restaurant manager, who speaks excellent English and explains the menu's highlights, even to foreign guests. It's not exactly cheap, but quality and service come at a price. Well done!

19/03/2026: I'm giving 5 stars only because I can't give 6... Excellent! I haven't eaten Sicilian cuisine of this caliber since the "Pirandello" days in Milan. Even some Sicilian colleagues visiting were amazed. Everything was excellent, the ingredients were very fresh, the restaurant was very well-maintained, and the service was very courteous and professional. Suppliers and colleagues were definitely appreciative. If I may, I'd add a pasta dish with anchovy sauce to the menu. I'm sure that would be exceptional too.

31/03/2026: Business lunch We ate wonderfully!!!! The carrot risotto with smoked provola was superb!!!!! A welcoming place with a homey feel. Emanuela, who serves you, is very attentive, fast, welcoming, and very professional...she really makes you feel at home!!! Excellent value for money, I highly recommend it!!!! 👏👏👏

23/03/2026: My partner and I went for dinner and did the pinsa tour. Excellent! Very good, delicate dough and fresh ingredients. Very friendly staff. Welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. I recommend it.

13/04/2026: What can I say... I'd start by saying it was a terrible experience. The restaurant doesn't aim to offer good food, but rather to cater to foreign tourists who know very little about Italian food. For us Italians, it's hospital food, except that the monkfish (€24 for a plate) and swordfish (€23+) were of inferior quality to what you'd find in a hospital (I work in a hospital, so the comparison is real). The only positive note was the waiter's friendliness. And between a joke here and a joke there... the bill was €64 (with a bottle of wine) and three appetizers and a main course each for four people. Shame. Highly not recommended.

11/04/2026: A standard Sicilian restaurant. The dishes are decent, without any particular surprises, but still enjoyable. The quality of the ingredients is good. The staff is friendly and helpful, always available and ready to make guests feel at ease, which makes for an overall positive experience. Overall, it's a pleasant place, ideal for a low-budget, yet satisfying, dinner.

04/04/2026: A charming bistro, beautifully appointed with new twists Southern Italian cooking (but not expensive.) The staff were young and friendly. We were offered a very unusual and delicious sweet aperitif made with basil. Such nice way to end a day in Milan.

04/04/2026: We had a great dinner, the food was delicious, super well served portions and fare price. The staff was also incredibly nice, would highly recommend!

11/04/2026: We had very high expectations. Very nice atmosphere. The food was decent, even though "Lombard restaurant" is a completely different beast. Terrible service. Two diners were left without their entrees. After about fifteen minutes, the waiter informed them that their chosen entree couldn't be served and that they had to choose something else. They opted for a decent dish that wasn't included in the bill. This gesture is appreciated, but the fact remains that two people ate alone while the other six watched. There was also a lot of confusion with the water and coffee orders, and the staff was decidedly unsympathetic. I wouldn't return. There are definitely better traditional Lombard dishes in the area. It was a bitter disappointment.

09/04/2026: Unexpectedly good - an oasis accessed through an industrial estate near the airport. Excellent wine list too and very friendly- English spoken for those with school Italian.

13/02/2026: The arancini were simply amazing — crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It was clear they were made with high-quality ingredients. What made the experience even more enjoyable, though, was the service — the woman who served us was exceptionally kind and warm, with a genuine attitude and a smile that makes you feel truly welcome. We would definitely come back again, both for the arancini and for the warm hospitality. ☺️

20/04/2026: It was very crowded. When I called to order food at noon, the man was very rude and hung up on me before I could finish. I think he doesn't want to work. The food was delicious, but I was a little tired of eating too much cream. The food was hot, which is rare, and the portions were very generous. The waitresses sometimes didn't seem very friendly.

17/04/2026: Other restaurants in the city have a hard time competing with the quality, sizes and prices of the amazing food you get at this restaurant. I ate at this restaurant 4 nights out of the 10 days I stayed in como simply because everything was supreme here. The staff is friendly, the food tastes amazing, the sizes are big and you won’t leave feeling hungry or like you should’ve gotten more for your money, and the food, drinks and dessert are all fairly priced. Can’t recommend it enough if you want a true Italian/Sicilian dining experience.

15/03/2026: Very good food, the braciole and appetizers spectacular, the first courses a little less so... Desserts were very good, the crunchy cannoli were very expensive! Very welcoming and informal atmosphere, very friendly staff. We'll be back!

08/04/2026: Lunch at Tiratappi during my day in Mantua... a perfect choice. A welcoming place, with a simple yet refined atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at ease. I ate really well: well-prepared dishes, authentic flavors, and just the right portions, without too many frills but with quality that you can taste. Friendly service and no unnecessary waiting, something I always appreciate. It's one of those places where you can sit quietly and enjoy lunch without rushing. Perfect for a break while exploring the city. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop.

11/03/2026: I wanted to write this review even before trying one of their delicacies because you could already see the great quality just from the display case... I found it by chance, during my lunch break, browsing the local dealers, and it was truly the only thing that made the trip from Liguria worth it! The lady at the counter was super friendly, nice, and kind, and the products were truly fantastic! I tried several mignon (or mini) ones to be able to try more things and I was truly amazed by every flavor! A special shout out to the round sfincione pizza! Too bad I live far away, otherwise I'd be there any day now! Unfortunately, I didn't take photos because I was too enthralled by such goodness and beauty! I offer you my most sincere compliments, I hope to pass by that area again one day and stop by your place again ❤️

The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, perfect for a relaxing dinner. The staff was kind, attentive, and very professional. We tasted traditional Apulian dishes made with the highest-quality ingredients. In particular, the orecchiette with turnip greens were extraordinary, accompanied by an excellent wine. Excellent value for money. We will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and classy culinary experience.
