30/06/2025: Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo, grandi classici lucani preparati con somma maestria, ingredienti accuratamente selezionati e un servizio molto cortese e celere, il locale sito in una delle stradine più note di Genzano con varie zone parcheggio nelle vicinanze.

22/07/2025: I've been thinking a lot about writing this review. Four of us went for lunch on Sunday. We arrived, and I have to say, the place was very nice. They welcomed us very kindly, explaining their cuisine to us. We ordered two mixed appetizers (theirs). The hot dishes were no problem, but the cold cuts and cheese platter included two slices of mortadella, two slices of prosciutto, and two slices of cheese. Honestly, since there were four of us, I expected more. However, the fried zucchini flowers were amazing. From there, the real disappointment began. We ordered three traditional ragùs, which we were told were made from 27 types of meat, cooked at a low temperature for several hours, and one fettuccine with porcini mushrooms. Unfortunately, the ragù was bland, and the sauce seemed undercooked. Instead of a "stain" of overcooked ragù remaining on the plate, there was a bit of water. The fettuccine with mushrooms was good but very salty. On a positive note, the quality of the pasta. As for me, I didn't eat anything from then on. The others ordered two slices of Black Angus with lard, one tripe, and baked potatoes. The meat, ordered rare, wasn't tender at all, and the lard on top hadn't melted. The potatoes had the same flavor and consistency as potatoes cooked the day before and only reheated. The tripe wasn't bad. Now for dessert. We ordered a lemon mascarpone cream and a lemon sorbet. The first dessert was good; the sorbet arrived in a wine glass, warm and liquid, separate; it wasn't "whipped," so to speak; in any case, it wasn't ready. At this point, puzzled, I sent it back, saying it wasn't ready. After a while, the gentleman who had been with us during the meal approached me and told me that the sorbet was that way because they make it with vegetable cream. Here I felt doubly cheated: 1. because I've never seen sorbet made with cream, and 2. if you decide to make a variation, you MUST—I repeat, you MUST—list it on the menu, because I could be intolerant or, worse, allergic, and if I decide to order a sorbet, I know it's water and lemon. In total, we spent €170 for 4 of us, which is honestly excessive for the quality, a shame because they have some strong points. I hate to write this review, but if you're going to boast about a product of excellence, it should be.
22/07/2025: A good restaurant in the heart of Genzano. Traditional Roman cuisine, including excellent tagliatelle with mushrooms and tomato sauce. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.
