12/07/2026: One of the last places where you can eat traditional food. No fish, no pizza; the specialty is meat, especially boiled and roasted meats. Reservations are highly recommended for both dinner and lunch. Prices are fair for what you get. Ask for the daily specials, which vary seasonally. Fast service, highly recommended.

11/07/2026: I had a truly wonderful time at Trattoria da Probo: local cuisine prepared with modern care. Tagliatelle, a tribute to the season, cappelletti with a sweet broth and a savory Parmesan filling, and dry and fragrant gnocco fritto accompanied by Sant'Ilario and culatello. Even the sbrisolona—and Stefano himself recommended it, looking for a partner in crime: “𝑔𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑎 𝑐ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑑𝑎𝑣𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑜 𝑏𝑢𝑜𝑛𝑎, 𝑐𝑒 𝑙𝑎𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑎𝑚𝑜 𝑑𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑒.” The wine list was a surprise, an unexpected plus: as far as I'm concerned, almost all the best local labels.
