21/02/2026: Exceptional food. From the appetizers to the main courses, to the meats and desserts, everything was truly excellent. The service was courteous and prompt despite the restaurant being packed. The prices were more than fair.
14/02/2026: One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten. The antipasti's just kept on coming and were all delicious. We skipped the primo, as we were already exploding, but the main course was also superb. The price of everything was also great. I have never seen a better value-for-money ratio for any restaurant.

25/01/2026: Frankly, I don't understand all the reviews raving about this place...maybe I'm on the wrong day! I had lunch on a Sunday in January. I was in the Bagnara area, and, drawn by the reviews, I decided to book a table for four for 1 pm for my family. The woman I'm talking to kindly told me yes, but that they open at 12 pm, implying I could also come earlier. We went anyway at 1 pm sharp, and strangely, it was closed! Not being local, I started to suspect I'd made the wrong place, so I called and they told me they were about to open right then: thank goodness I hadn't come earlier! The atmosphere was nice, the staff friendly. We ordered a marinated anchovy appetizer, which was good but nothing special. The first courses, three different ones, had cooking issues. Not only were they not al dente, but the pasta was clearly overcooked, and three out of three of them weren't simply a mistake! The second courses were good, but again, nothing exceptional. The desserts (apple pie) were below expectations, considering I'd read reviews that described them as the best desserts I'd ever tried... who knows! Paying €20 for two slices of soggy cake that looked like it had been made by a novice leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, even more so than the dessert itself. The bottle of wine we chose was good, as were the glasses of sparkling wine we ordered to accompany the desserts, since I was celebrating my 50th birthday. For this very reason, I expected at least a complimentary coffee, but that didn't happen! The price was high, but it was reasonable for what we ordered and there were no surprises compared to the menu.
20/01/2026: Unusual and surprisingly tasty dishes! Very unique combinations with unique flavors. Beautiful and well-prepared.

05/01/2026: A quaint restaurant serving traditional Calabrian cuisine. Excellent ingredients and high-quality food. The dining room is beautifully decorated with many period pieces. Attentive service makes for a delightful lunch and dinner. Highly recommended.

14/01/2026: There were three of us for dinner. The appetizer was €20; the waiter insisted it was for one person, but it was actually three large dishes, and two people could easily eat. We ordered capra in umido (roasted goat), which was well-prepared, but be careful of the bone fragments left after the cook had cut it. We also ordered stufato di maialino (roasted pork) and carne de pastore (shepherd's meat). The portions of these three dishes were for one person and not enough to share. The house wine was excellent; it was definitely worth trying. Everything was very homemade and delicious. For dessert, I recommend a tartuffo di pizzo (chicken tart) per person: the best I've ever had. I'll be back.
13/01/2026: An experience I'll never repeat again, as far as I'm concerned: we ordered two appetizers for a whopping €20 each (the full menu with appetizer and first course), but only one arrived, and we still paid for two. One of the two appetizers (a stroncatura with anchovies) had smelly anchovies, meaning they were old or spoiled, and one of us was left without a first course. We reported this and were told that perhaps the flavor of the anchovies was "too strong," and that's just a matter of taste. No, the fish had actually gone bad. Even though we reported the problem and left the dish because it was imaginable, we were still charged the full amount. We definitely won't be returning.

22/02/2026: We went to this restaurant recommended by a local friend. We had an appetizer, a first course, and dessert. Everything was delicious, we were speechless. The gelato is a must-try. The owner is incredibly kind and passionate about his work. He even recommended what to eat. The price was super fair. We will definitely be back.

18/10/2025: U Ricriju is Francesco. Unconditional love for his land and for traditional cuisine passed down from generation to generation. Genuine, locally sourced ingredients... Plus, it's a restaurant, but in his home. Try it and book in advance because he often travels around the world. Thanks again, a unique experience! Bravo!

10/01/2026: A splendid restaurant focused on elegant cuisine, yet never ephemeral or superficial. Careful selection of fresh, high-quality ingredients is showcased on the plate without frills. In short, the best possible celebration of Calabrian cuisine, presented in a modern and authentic way. We loved the Russian salad, the octopus, and the grouper. The wine list could perhaps be updated with labels from small local producers.

20/02/2026: We found this place by chance and it left us pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality food, all locally sourced, accompanied by a typical local atmosphere. It is managed by a pleasant person and I highly recommend it.
14/02/2026: The food was good; we had agreed on a pasta starter and a meat dish, coffee, and mineral water. In the end, we paid 65 euros... that's outrageous! Even though the welcome was good and the setting rustic, we ultimately felt ripped off because we had to order without a menu or prices... once again, there was a lack of trust... What a shame.

21/08/2025: Excellent cook, amazingly well received, but the portions are decidedly small for the price...7 euros for a caponata with 3 slices of onion and 2 tomatoes is definitely excessive, but where there's taste there's no loss.
07/04/2025: Advertising is like lies, they have short legs... I have to say that I was very disappointed with everything, quality and price. I paid €20 for a house appetizer, but it wasn't even worth €5 in quality and proportion. All recycled stuff, reheated on the spot, and of terrible taste. Not to mention the super salty and raw bread made with pizza dough, so I'll leave you to imagine what the pizza was like. The only thing that was criticized was the name of the dish. If I can give you some advice, change jobs... restaurateurs are born, you can't just invent them on the spot.

06/10/2024: Viste le recensioni ottime abbiamo prenotato ma ahimè ce ne siamo pentiti ancor prima di sederci. Arrivati ci indicano il ns tavolo e da lì è stato l'inizio di una serata da cancellare. Il ns tavolo? A ridosso di un angolo da un lato e sull'ingresso in sala dall'altro, pertanto, un posto a sedere a ridosso di un muro, l'altro, essendo praticamente posizionato sull'ingresso in sala, con camerieri ed ospiti che urtavano o sfioravano la sedia. Chiedo se posso girare la sedia sull'altro lato del tavolo ed i camerieri rispondono in modo scortese dicendo che avrei disturbato i commensali del tavolo a fianco (io avrei disturbato mentre camerieri ed ospiti che mi sfioravano ad ogni passaggio assolutamente non davano alcun fastidio alla sottoscritta!!!!!!!!!!) ma dietro mia ulteriore richiesta con smorfia annuiscono di si senza comunque avere la decenza e la cortesia nonché buone maniere di spostare piatti, bicchieri e posateria, ho dovuto provvedere io a girare sedia e mise en place. Passando al menù abbiamo avuto l'altra amara delusione, tante recensioni ottime per piatti davvero mediocri. Antipasto con salumi salatissimi ed intrisi d'olio, una zuppa di cicerchie insapore, un intingolo di peperoni piccantissimi in un bagno d'olio ed ulteriori preparazioni una più deludente dell'altra. Sul menù non vengono menzionate le portate ma solo i formati delle varie paste offerte, alla mia richiesta su come fossero preparati i vari primi mi viene risposto che si possono condire con sugo di polpette o altro sugo che onestamente non ricordo, io scelgo gli scilatelli ed il mio compagno ravioli ed optiamo entrambi per il sugo di polpette. Ahimè arrivano questi piatti e scopriamo che il sugo di polpette è privo di polpette, o meglio le polpette erano state nel sugo usato ma erano state tolte e servite evidentemente ad altri, gli scilatelli non erano scilatelli ma un dei grossi e lunghi pezzi di pasta che per poterli mangiare ho dovuto tagliare col coltello, sul sapore neanche spreco parole. Quindi, delusissimi, evitiamo di fare ulteriori ordinativi e ci alziamo per andare in cassa. Un cameriere ci dice di aspettare che sarebbe arrivato il responsabile per il conto, ebbene aspettiamo davanti alla cassa minuti e minuti per poi alla fine vedere arrivare un signore dalla cucina che, senza né un sorriso né senza chiedere scusa per la lunga attesa, ci fa il conto, a mio avviso esoso sia per quanto e sia per come mangiato. Concludo che a tutt'oggi non riesco a spiegarmi come questo locale possa avere recensioni così buone. Onestamente non torneremo.

08/04/2025: Siamo arrivati in Calabria con la barca a vela e ci hanno suggerito di visitare Stilo. Rocco, il nostro Vate in questa bellissima terra, ci ha fatto da guida e da Cicerone e ha scelto di portarci a mangiare nella trattoria “Gli Antichi Sapori”. Qui siamo stati accolti da Emanuela con professionalità, gentilezza e simpatia. E’ stata la nostra fortunata occasione di gustare gli squisiti piatti tipici del posto preparati in abbondanza. Non perdetevi questa opportunità anche voi se passate da lì!!!
16/03/2025: Un ristorantino tipico che mantiene le promesse. Antipasto con prodotti tipici locali e genuini e primi piatti che deliziano il palato. Il tutto servito da personale davvero molto gentile e sempre sorridente. Consiglio vivamente.

29/12/2024: Riaperto da poco e personalmente scoperto per caso. Esperienza di gusto e qualità importanti, una serie di assaggi come antipasto tutto cucinato, polpette, frittelle di vari gusti, crespelle ed infine un meraviglioso tortino di carciofi, seguiti da un primo di trofie con agnello, carne ottima, involtini, arista, in quantità adeguata e con contorno di patate e piselli in umido con carote. Pranzo finito con petrali e panettone artigianale, una ottima esperienza complessiva la titolare è una persona disponibile ed è un piacere ascoltarne la cultura commerciale e culinaria formata negli anni. Torneremo sicuramente appena possibile. Grazie
