12/03/2026: The restaurant was empty, and we didn't even get a single dish after half an hour of waiting. Rudeness and very little customer service. Despite prompting, we had to wait over two hours for our dishes. Highly discouraged.

28/02/2026: Since they changed management, the quality of the food and service has gradually declined, so much so that I stopped going there regularly, but from now on I'm sure I won't be back. The food is depressing, with the appearance of seasoning, so much so that I only tried a second course and left it, explaining that what they'd brought me was tofu with sauce... and the other ingredients? Flavorless, and mushrooms and bamboo, as I expected, they still made me pay for it. Let's not even talk about the service; they shout at each other from the kitchen to the dining room, bringing your dishes without even looking you in the face, they seem like robots and make you feel like someone is disturbing their life. Given the prices, there are definitely better places in Bari! Near Largo Ciaja, there are two, different styles, but both are good and, above all, civilized.

08/02/2026: The manageress is really rude and miserable. She has a very bad attitude and as a result, even though the food is good and the rest of the staff are nice - I've been here a few times and her attitude is just not good enough - I won't be coming back and it is all due to her.

27/02/2026: Unfortunately, our experience was not positive. After dining there, we suffered severe gastrointestinal discomfort during the night. We can't be absolutely certain of the cause, but the coincidence with the dinner we'd eaten a few hours earlier was clear. The fried food had a very heavy taste, as if the oil wasn't fresh, and this made the dishes difficult to digest. Furthermore, we left the restaurant with a strong smell of fried food, a sign of inadequate ventilation. When it comes to dining, quality and attention to detail should be paramount. In this case, unfortunately, that wasn't our perception.

15/01/2026: The Chinese food was delicious; the ingredients were fresh and the preparation was meticulous. Everything was cooked to perfection, with clean, crisp flavors and not at all greasy. We ordered several courses to share, and they maintained a high standard from start to finish. The service was excellent: quick and attentive, without being intrusive. The atmosphere is pleasant, quiet, and comfortable, perfect for a quiet meal. It's not a flashy place, nor does it try to impress, but it delivers on its promises. We left satisfied and feeling like we enjoyed our meal, which is ultimately what matters.

19/02/2026: I visited this restaurant on February 18, 2026, to order a takeout box for €50.00, around 7:50 PM. The first employee who greeted us told us the wait was approximately 15-20 minutes. I accepted and asked them to kindly prepare as soon as possible, as my car's ticket was expiring soon. He then turned to a colleague, who, for some mysterious reason, addressed me in an arrogant and disrespectful tone, informing me that the wait would be at least half an hour. At that point, I refused the new wait time, which also contradicted what I had been previously informed of, and left the restaurant. Dear Sirs, you must show discipline, good manners, and RESPECT towards the customers who choose you. Furthermore, I had addressed you with courtesy and kindness, qualities that were completely lacking in the employee who confronted us in a snarky and arrogant manner. Never again!

19/02/2026: Seven of us came here tonight to try something new. We weren't sure if we'd like Chinese cuisine, but we were actually quite surprised. A very traditional restaurant, with a lovely atmosphere that immerses you in Chinese culture, and above all, it's clean and tidy. There's a wide variety of dishes to choose from, the quality/price ratio is truly excellent, and we all enjoyed them. The dishes are plentiful, very good, and flavorful. The staff is very welcoming, and the wait for our food is very short. We'll gladly return!

01/02/2026: Sushi Niwa is cheap, yes. But eating there is a real challenge. Asking for water and sauces became an impossible task: four requests, three different people, and only on the fourth time—probably out of exhaustion—did something arrive at the table. The service is incredibly slow, disorganized, with staff seemingly out of touch. Every request is forgotten, bounced, or ignored. You sit down to eat and end up waiting. And waiting. And waiting some more. If the low price is enough to justify such terrible service, then no. Cheap on paper, but the real cost is wasted time and frayed nerves. There are restaurants where you go to eat sushi, and then there's Sushi Niwa, where you participate in an endurance test. Never again.

The fish is always incredibly fresh, and you can immediately taste the quality of every dish, from classic sushi to more unique offerings (the menu is truly extensive). Everything is prepared with great care and attention to detail. The staff is always courteous, smiling, and helpful, making you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. I've been there once a week now, and every time is a confirmation. An added bonus is Maofeng, who knows me by heart and already knows my order: his customer service truly makes the difference. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality sushi, a pleasant atmosphere, and impeccable service. I'll be back, as always, with great pleasure! Keep up the good work...💕

28/12/2025: I've already given this restaurant a 5-star review in the past, because I've always been there and always had a good experience. Unfortunately, I have to change my mind today. The problem isn't the quality of the fish itself, which is probably good, but the temperature at which the sushi is served. All the raw fish dishes (nigiri, uramaki, tartare, salmon tacos) arrived freezing cold, literally frozen, as if they'd just been taken out of the refrigerator and brought directly to the table. The result was an unpleasant and, frankly, disgusting flavor. Even the rice was excessively cold. What's even more incomprehensible is that even the sushi with cooked ingredients (fried chicken, fried shrimp, cooked tuna) still arrived freezing cold. The tartare was so cold it almost tasted frozen. When we pointed out the problem, one staff member ignored us; another simply replied, "Yes, the fish is from the refrigerator." Of course, fish must be stored properly, but sushi shouldn't be served chilled: there's a proper serving temperature, and today it wasn't respected at all. The only positive note is the food, which was as good as ever: the udon, grilled, and fried shrimp were very good and well-served. This is why I'm giving it 3 stars today, which is generous, solely for the food. If it weren't for that, the rating would be significantly lower. A real shame for a place I've always enjoyed.

14/02/2026: A very disappointing experience! Even though we'd reserved a table the day before, the place was packed and there was no seating available. The worst part was that there were about thirty other people standing around waiting, all with tables booked for the same time slot. In the end, we left!

04/02/2026: Extremely friendly staff, always smiling and very friendly. First time with friends, and I'll definitely be back. The food was really good, well-prepared, and delicious.
