25/03/2026: We visited Saien Restaurant and overall had a positive impression. However, not everything was perfect: many dishes on the lunch menu are unavailable and can only be ordered in the evening. Furthermore, several dishes are available in limited quantities, making the choice a bit more difficult. However, the service is top-notch: the staff is attentive and friendly. The quality of the food is also good. Overall, it's a good restaurant and we'll definitely be back.

27/02/2026: I returned to this place after a while, which I used to frequent a lot, thinking it was one of the best in Rome, but I had to change my mind. My friend and I both had bubble tea with strawberry and coconut milk: the milk had a strange taste, a little sour, as if it had gone bad, and the strawberry was barely noticeable, with only a few pieces. We both felt sick with nausea, and I had a stomachache all afternoon. I was disappointed because I've always loved their bubble tea.

25/12/2025: Great place, their nudols are excellent! And the bubble teas are well made, the employees are super kind and the owner clearly cares.

20/05/2026: Fast service, poor food especially the salmon; I had a stomach ache all evening and the next morning

01/05/2026: Crazy thing, I couldn't eat anything.... I've never found a place with such poor quality products.... in the end I understood why there was a sign that told us.... either you eat everything or you pay for everything left on the plate from 5 to 20 euros..... Despite the all you can est the first round remained everything on the plates.... my partner and I went to the cashier paid and left.... I didn't think such poor quality environments existed in terms of product quality. Shocked.

26/05/2026: A good Chinese restaurant, with a few specialties: the "fresh" spring rolls (exceptional) and the small baskets (among the best I've ever eaten). But the real gem is the hidden terrace, a quiet spot nestled between the neighborhood buildings where you can dine al fresco on scorching summer evenings. It's when the lanterns are lit... it's magical! ps. Incredible prices!

26/04/2026: Found it by searching Google because we were traveling and didn't know the place...FABULOUS!!! It's been a really long time since we've eaten "real" Chinese and Japanese food. Delicious and super generous portions...highly recommended!!

28/05/2026: Unfortunately, they need to renovate. It's obvious they're tired of working. The atmosphere is very dark, and unfortunately, the food is below average.

16/01/2026: The restaurant has a truly beautiful atmosphere, reflecting Chinese culture. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. And you can see how much effort they put into it. And of course, the food: the quality/price ratio is simply excellent. It's cheap, but you eat a lot and it's delicious. Every dish is worth trying. The best so far: grilled fettuccine. Definitely my favorite.

08/01/2026: Ordered takeout. Food was ready on time. Dumplings, shrimp and sesame balls, Vietnamese rolls. Passable. Sweet and sour chicken was good. Cantonese rice was bland. Fried noodles with vegetables tasted like MSG sludge. Inedible. Fried pork (recommended) was basically strips of battered fat. Terrible. Total cost €30 with a free large beer. Being used to London's Chinatown, perhaps we had higher expectations. Almost everything went in the bin. Sorry, we won't be back.

02/04/2026: Unfortunately, my experience at this place was terrible even before I sat down. Despite the listed opening time being 11:00, I showed up at 11:40 and was met with a wall of rudeness. When I asked for a table for one person (with the place completely empty), I received conflicting responses and questionable manners: • A young woman told me to come back after noon. • A young man, instead of dealing with customers, continued to shout into the phone, completely disregarding hospitality. Being treated with such condescension and aggression is unacceptable, especially when you respect the business's stated hours. If the place opens at 12:00, it would be wise to update your Google info, but there's no excuse for rudeness anyway. Not recommended.

07/05/2026: The quality of the food is slightly above average, with the very competitive price it achieves a perfect compromise between quality and price, the service suffers a little, the dishes arrive but some arrive very late or do not arrive at all, for the rest it is certainly pleasant.

01/05/2026: Please avoid eating at this kind of restaurant, if you can call it that. If I think back to how badly I ate, really badly, I swear I'll call the police. I only feel sorry for the people who work there, because they're friendly and nice.

15/10/2025: Excellent, everything is delicious. The best thing is the unlimited menu at a really low price. Leave here because you'll be bursting at the seams with all the food you've eaten! Excellent, really, nothing to complain about. The dining area is both outside and inside in the summer and outside in the winter. Everything is excellent, nothing to complain about. Go and try it, you'll always come back.

24/04/2026: I ordered takeout. The box was €16. They gave me two mini boxes. They included all-you-can-eat portions with tiny nigiri. And there was even one missing. Go only for the all-you-can-eat. The prices are excessively high.

22/02/2026: Nothing to say. Impeccable, definitely superior to the classics you find around. Average prices, very clean (which is not a given), welcoming and quiet location. Perfect service. Truly highly recommended.

06/03/2026: They served us dishes with ingredients completely different from those listed on the menu: for example, an onigiri, which was supposed to have salmon and avocado, contained cooked tuna mixed with the salmon, but the avocado was missing. The spring rolls had meat in them, which, frankly, had never happened to me. To conclude, they served us a tuna tataki with a nauseating smell, so bad that they couldn't touch any more food. Once we politely and kindly, almost apologetically, pointed out that we had regretfully left some food behind, they went to the table to check how much food we had left without asking why, but instead making us weigh it. When we explained why we had left that food, there was not even a hint of an apology. The final treatment we received compels me to write this review, but I can assure you that I don't recommend the food either...

The flavors of Chinese cuisine we love, the cozy, family atmosphere, with oriental music playing in the background, the prompt and friendly service, and the affordable prices. That's why we return whenever we can, even if we don't live in the area.

20/03/2026: The food was delicious and fresh! And the service was fantastic! We were hosted by Angelica who was kind and friendly! She was culturally sensible to my needs as a Muslim who doesn't eat pork and accomodated quickly! Recommended for sure if you are interested in taking a break from pasta's and pizza's! (:
