20/08/2024: My wife and I have been regular visitors to the village of Sant'Agata, but this time, we decided to book dinner at the renowned Don Alfonso 1890. To ensure a seamless dining experience, I contacted the restaurant eight months in advance to inquire about their vegetarian menu. They promptly confirmed that they could accommodate our dietary preferences and even provided us with a sample tasting menu upon request. I must say, everything about this place is truly amazing. Before our dinner, we were given a fascinating tour of the restaurant's wine cellar, which extends several hundred feet underground to the bottom of a well. Although the oldest wine in their collection dates back to 1890, it is not fit for consumption. Interestingly, the most expensive wine they have is an Italian wine priced at €40,000 per bottle (unfortunately, a bit out of our budget). During our visit, we had the pleasure of meeting the chef and owner of the restaurant and hotel. They warmly greeted guests in the restaurant and even invited us into the kitchen, where we witnessed the food preparation process and received a description of each kitchen station. After the kitchen tour, we were offered aperitifs, which we enjoyed in the beautiful gardens of the hotel. It was a delightful experience. As my wife is a vegetarian and I am a carnivore, we both opted for our own tasting menus. The first dish was preceded by a chef's welcome course not on the menu. I must say, the food was absolutely sublime. Every single bite was a delight, and despite the seemingly small portions, we left the restaurant feeling incredibly satisfied. In fact, we were so full that we couldn't even enjoy the petit fours. We decided to take them with us and gifted them to the staff at the Jaccarino hotel where we were staying. I must commend the staff at Don Alfonso 1890 for their exceptional service. They were engaging, polite, and personable, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. One unique touch that caught my attention was the TV screens in the restaurant, which were turned 90 degrees into portrait mode. While you won't be watching the news or your favorite shows during dinner, you can observe the kitchen staff as they prepare and cook your food. I found this to be a wonderful addition that enhanced the overall dining experience. Additionally, there is a gift shop at the restaurant where you can purchase books, pasta sauces, and other items. My wife took advantage of this and bought some gifts for our friends the next day. Given our incredible experience, we have already made plans to return to the hotel next year, and without a doubt, we will be booking another dinner at Don Alfonso 1890.

La famiglia Iaccarino ci ha accolto come se eravamo di casa, abbiamo trascorso una serata eccezionale lo consiglio a tutti coloro che vogliono vivere un’esperienza stellata.

29/08/2024: Everything was nice. thank you! This is the best restaurant in terms of pasta perfection during this trip to Italy. I made a reservation for dinner right after lunch. Everything was delicious, and my 4-year-old son who loves vongole spaghetti ate it by himself (rarely). The seafood flavor was well-infused into the noodles and it was delicious. The price was cheap and there seemed to be many other Italian menus, so I definitely want to visit again next time. It was a pity that I couldn't order more because the weather was too hot and I lost my appetite...

06/08/2024: Lovely little spot. Termini is blessed with two great food spots - this place feels like an old school local haunt, whereas the place up the road is decidedly fancier. You won’t really go wrong with either. The food here was very tasty, and very cheap. The catch of the day was particularly nice. It felt like a real community hub - there was a dog lying in the doorway like a napping bouncer.

Do a great job for your customers with a smile on your face. The only small but solved problem was the climb to the car park where with a lot of "friction" and skill I managed to get in😂😂😂

31/08/2024: I chose it thanks to the reviews I read but unfortunately I was quite disappointed. the raw materials are all good but in my opinion not prepared correctly. However, the thing that left me most perplexed was the frying of prawns and calamari: on the menu it was specified that in the absence of fresh products, frozen products would be used... and so far ok, but then if they arrive frozen, why pay for them at the same price as fresh ones!?! Courteous and extremely helpful service, right from the phone call made to reserve a table and sunbeds. A bit of an ugly location, certainly the least nice and evocative of the 4/5 restaurants on site.

03/09/2024: Small restaurant on the beach in Marina di Puolo, the owner is attentive and friendly with his customers. Seafood dishes are more than reasonable and prices are normal for the place where it is located.

02/09/2024: Very delicious tomato sause and mozzarella. Good prices. Tiramisu is excellent. Only negative that the pizzadough was a bit chewy, but the pizza for 6€ was still very good

07/08/2024: An evening to forget, the only things that could be saved were the fried foods even if they were salty and full of oil. Extravagant prices, 25 euros for a seafood risotto which tasted like star cubes, probably done at the last minute as the waiter had told us which were the last two portions. 16 euros for the house wine with peaches which tasted like ice even though there was no ice, we told the waiter everything, who without batting an eyelid told us that the other customers were satisfied. We were regular customers, they won't see us again

11/08/2024: Ieri sera sono stata con la mia famiglia in questo ristorante, non era la prima volta ma ogni volta è come se fosse la prima i loro piatti eseguiti alla perfezione e il loro staff sempre attento a tutte le esigenze che possono servire al tavolo, i miei figli sono andati via molto felici perché coccolati da Alessia ed Amelia delle bravissime padrone di casa… Grazie Mille Ragazze sicuramente alla prossima!!!

24/08/2024: I stayed with my family as guests at this hotel, an enchanting view of Sorrento that was "breathtaking", the sea, clean and modern rooms, silence, excellent hospitality, good food, rich breakfast. The hotel is equipped with a shuttle to the center of Sorrento, five minutes away by road.. During our stay we took an excursion proposed by the hotel to visit Positano and Amalfi, a wonderful experience, organized in every detail... I would recommend the hotel the Nest for anyone who wants to spend a nice holiday.."Rated 10 yes 10".
