We're in Apice, not far from the ghost town and castle, which are well worth a visit.
The restaurant is very well-maintained and offers friendly, professional service.
We'll definitely be back.
18/01/2026: If you're looking for a place where quality ingredients meet a passion for cooking, La Vela Blu in Apice is a must-see.
The seafood cuisine is impeccable; despite its hillside location, the fish is incredibly fresh. The raw fish is spectacular, and the pasta dishes perfectly balance tradition and innovation.
The restaurant is elegant, well-kept, and very welcoming. It's the ideal setting for a romantic dinner or to celebrate a special event with family.
The staff is professional, attentive, and never intrusive. You can clearly feel the attention they dedicate to their customers, making you feel immediately at home.
A fair value for money for a high-end dining experience. I'll definitely be back!

Difficulty viewing the menu QR code (I had to go outside to see the menu).
Poor service (we ordered a €35 sparkling wine and it was served poorly: it was opened and left on the table).
Good pizza.
14/09/2025: I'll start by saying that I don't usually write reviews; I do them when I want to praise a place or when (as in this case) the overall rating on Google is very different from my experience.
We booked a table for three people for 9:15 PM and showed up on time.
No one at the front desk knew about our reservation, but our order was taken half an hour after we arrived.
Well, we ate our pizza two hours after arriving (close to closing time), while other people decided to leave in the meantime.
Given that, being there for the first time, we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and assume it was just one of those classic nights where everything goes to pieces and there's little to manage, what really went wrong?
1. In the middle of our wait, we were told that our pizzas would exceptionally arrive early, in about five minutes (and they arrived an hour later).
2. There was considerable discomfort between us and the waiters, and this was obvious, but there are alternatives to sterile, albeit well-intentioned, apologies (offering a coffee at the end of the meal, a dessert, or whatever).
Well, these last two points differentiate the good management of a bad evening from a careless and improvised one.
And it's a shame, because the foundations for offering a welcoming place and high-quality food are there.

15/01/2026: A welcoming, warm place with dishes reminiscent of our grandparents' spectacular cooking. Giulio, a delightful host, is at the helm, knowing how to delight his customers with flavors from days gone by. A 10 out of 10.
23/12/2025: Warm and welcoming atmosphere! I can honestly say I felt at home thanks to Mr. Giulio's hospitality, which delighted us immensely. I highly recommend it.

17/11/2025: I booked a week in advance for 10 people and they asked me for a deposit to block it. My request was for the license plate numbers for their parking lot, which we could access through the municipal police. The municipal police didn't tell them anything about this. Our license plates didn't have them. I called the restaurant and they told me you have to take the shuttle, they're making a mess. I take the shuttle for €2 per person and we go outside to the restaurant and we waited 20 minutes with hungry children. Our table was occupied. I was talking to the people who were eating there and they had all accessed the parking lot and communicated the license plate. A customer of theirs who is from Benevento heard all this and took my side and said hurry up and free the table immediately because there are children here. The €30 per person menu is awful. If we ate outside at the kiosks it would have been better anyway. I'm sorry to give a bad review but you have neither manners nor education because you didn't even justify yourself for anything. You brought everything straight away to make us go straight away. A piece of advice to people before booking.

19/04/2025: Visitado durante su estancia cerca como parte de nuestro viaje por carretera italiano.
Logré conseguir una mesa el viernes por la noche, de última hora, que fue afortunado ya que cada otra mesa estaba llena.
Clásico hotel de estilo familiar italiano, con deliciosa comida, excelente vino y un gran ambiente.
Llevamos a nuestro perro grande Lucy que se hizo sentir muy bienvenido también. En general, una experiencia excepcional. Volveremos a visitar si estamos cerca!
31/03/2025: In questo posto si mangia divinamente! Era la prima volta che ci andavo e ci ritornero' di sicuro!
La location e' molto caratteristica in tema con il posto, il cibo squisito e assolutamente leggero anche se abbondante e vario.
Lo chef gentile e professionale, idem i collaboratori.
E i prezzi sono decisamente competitivi ! Fa davvero piacere sapere che ci sono dei ristoranti cosi : mangiare bene e spendere il giusto e' un plus per ognuno!

EVEN THOUGH HE HAS A BATHROOM, HE WON'T LET YOU GO EVEN IF YOU'RE DRINKING, AND EVEN IF YOU'RE DYING, HE SENDS YOU HERE AND THERE TO PUBLIC BATHROOMS WITHOUT EVEN BEING SPECIFIC ABOUT THEIR LOCATION!!!
