A spectacular and well-preserved castle. At Christmas, the castle becomes magical, with an atmosphere brought to the extreme. Indoor markets, street food, children's entertainment, and Santa's house. Stunning. Excellent organization, with buses from Apice Nuovo to avoid traffic jams in the village. Bring your kids; it's truly great entertainment and a beautiful castle.

Hector's Castle is not just an imposing architectural structure, but the beating heart of Apice Vecchia, a village frozen in time. The visit was a moving and fascinating experience.

The most beautiful Christmas market I've ever seen, from northern to southern Italy. You park at Apice Nuova and pay €2 for the shuttle to the ancient village of Apice Antica. Once you reach the ancient village, you have the opportunity to visit the Castello dell'Ettore (€10), a beautiful and very well-organized castle with numerous souvenir kiosks inside and food stalls outside, as well as a small Harry Potter-themed corner (€2 per person).

05/06/2026: High-quality I rarely remember eating such good seafood so far from the sea, but I have to say this place really surprised me. Located at the beginning of Apice, the location isn't the best (although the garden is a nice touch), but once you're seated at the table, the music changes. High-quality hot and cold appetizers with incredibly fresh fish, expertly cooked: the chef often shows off his skills outside, instilling confidence in his work and what he does. The amberjack was amazing, brought to the table with flashy (lights and candles) but excellent service: the staff were excellent, always friendly and approachable. Average wine: the first bottle was bad, the others were good (local white). Recommended for good seafood!
