High-quality, home-cooked food.
They offer you a welcome sample worthy of a luxury restaurant, with two varieties of local taralli, homemade bread, sublime olive oil, and a delicious montanara.
The owner is young, knowledgeable, and very approachable. The service is attentive and thoughtful.
The food surprises me every time I go. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

31/10/2025: My first experience at this restaurant was for a 40th birthday: a truly memorable day.
I ate divinely, so much so that one of the first courses was so good it deserved a trio!
From appetizer to dessert, every course was impeccable.
To top it off, the chef prepared a textbook spaghetti with garlic, oil, and chili pepper.
Compliments to the entire staff: from the chef to the waiting staff, professional and attentive. Well done!

05/10/2025: Last night my wife and I had dinner at this restaurant. We were greeted by the owner (I presume), a very kind man. He explained the preparation of the dishes very professionally, and thanks to his advice on the meat, I rediscovered old-fashioned flavors. I hope to return; I forgot to mention the final bill—another plus: the prices are lower for the quality of the ingredients.
21/08/2025: A magnificent experience: culinary, courteous, and relaxing. Four of us arrived for lunch and were warmly welcomed by the owner, who served us with excellent advice while maintaining a rare discretion that we greatly appreciated. The menu was challenging due to the wide selection of inviting dishes. Also noteworthy is the attentiveness with which one of our guests was able to accommodate celiac disease. The timing was very appreciated; even though we ordered different dishes, the staff ensured that we all ate the various courses together. Even though we had requested two glasses of wine, the bottle was left at the table, a gesture we greatly appreciated, even though we didn't drink more than two glasses. The experience was fantastic, and we were also satisfied with the bill, as with the quality we expected a little more. We couldn't help but express our deep gratitude and ask others to follow their example.

01/11/2025: Personally, I'm not overly fond of set menus and always prefer to choose from the menu. There's no menu here, but the menu is a surprise (of course, any intolerances or allergies can be noted). I have to say: what a pleasant surprise! A menu on the rise with creative touches and very well-balanced flavors, perhaps with a few too many forays into the bitter realm. An experience worth repeating to try the young chef's decidedly skilful approach on other surprise dishes. The place is very pleasant, and the service is professional and friendly, worthy of applause.
09/09/2025: A huge disappointment. I expected high-end cuisine, but the only thing that was high-end was the bill. An appetizer with an undefined flavor, followed by two passable first courses. The meat-based second course was almost inedible, not to mention the quantity: a centimeter of boiled meat accompanied by three green beans on a spoonful of mashed potatoes. I wonder how they got a star.

13/10/2025: Location immersed in the greenery of Irpinia, clean and well-kept, the owner Michele kind and helpful, excellent service, excellent quality food, you can eat both mountain and seafood, yesterday with friends we enjoyed fish-based food, all delicious, if you find yourself in Ariano Irpino I recommend it.
22/09/2025: For €45 per person, we only received an appetizer, a first course, and a sorbet: a truly excessive price for what was offered.
No dessert, liqueur, or coffee, and the bottle of prosecco we never specifically requested wasn't a "gift," but included in the bill.
Furthermore, no menu with prices was provided (required by law), and they didn't even appear on the receipt.
Lack of transparency and poor customer service.
A restaurateur should accept constructive criticism without belittling or underestimating those who express an opinion. Respect must be mutual.

06/11/2025: I recently went to Il Barrio Caffè and I have to say it was a truly positive experience! The pizzas are excellent: typical Neapolitan dough, soft and well-leavened, with top-quality toppings. I also tried a gluten-free pizza and was surprised by how good it was, how well-made and flavorful it was.
The only small flaw concerns the onion: I had asked for tuna and onions, but I got caramelized onions, which I personally didn't like very much. Nothing that detracts from the overall impression, though.
The selection of craft beers is also excellent, including the gluten-free version, tasty and much appreciated.
The place is really nice: a pleasant atmosphere, perfect for an evening with friends. You can eat well, have a drink, and enjoy the games broadcast on the big screen. I will definitely be back! Recommended! 🍕🍻⚽

24/09/2025: Terrible experience, let's start from the beginning.
My girlfriend (the birthday girl) and I have food intolerances, like so many people these days. We booked the menu for this confirmation a month in advance, communicating our intolerances and PERSONALLY CHOOSING THE RIGHT COURSES FOR EVERYONE WITH THE OWNER.
From there, a real ordeal began. The owner himself had to call us back, after contacting his suppliers, to let us know whether the gluten-free pasta they supplied contained corn (my girlfriend is intolerant). Four days before the event, there was still no news. We contacted the restaurant and they promised they would let us know as soon as possible. In the end, we had to call their suppliers ourselves to ask if there was corn in the pasta they supplied to the restaurant. It was surreal, but let's move on. On the day of the event, we arrived at the restaurant, lunch began, and then the real catastrophe struck. My girlfriend and I were the only ones with intolerances; even though we had different placemats to identify us, they managed to bring us some dishes containing our intolerances, all of which we obviously sent back. On the second fish dish (sea bass), we were told the breadcrumbs on top were corn-free. Moral of the story? My girlfriend (the party girl) felt ill. At this point, we called the waiter to ask if it really was corn-free. He went to the kitchen to ask and confirmed it was corn-free, which was impossible, considering my girlfriend felt ill. At this point, we asked to see the label on the breadcrumbs. The result? Reading the label, it said it did contain corn. If it had been an allergy and not an intolerance, it would have been life-threatening. To top it all off, we weren't served any cake or dessert because they didn't bother to get them ahead of time (and there are plenty of businesses that sell these products, even nearby, where we buy them ourselves). PURE MADNESS, ZERO CARE FOR THE CUSTOMER. According to all the diners, the food was tasteless, mostly frozen, and of extremely low quality. I've attached some photos of the dishes. The best dish we ate was the sorbet. They even served a sliced steak without even seasoning the cherry tomatoes and meat, just thrown in for good measure. As a final delicacy, the waiters served coffee in a cup from a previously filled carafe, a truly shocking touch. Poor and clumsy service, no one in charge, just a couple of good waiters who tried to make up for the situation as best they could.
When we spoke to the owner, we were told that at most he'd deduct the two menus for the two intolerant people, but who's going to pay for the ruined party? For my girlfriend feeling ill? For the embarrassment I made in front of the guests? ZERO PROFESSIONALISM, ZERO COMPETENCE, RUINED EVENT.
24/09/2025: I celebrated my 38th birthday there, and it couldn't have been better. A spectacular place you wouldn't imagine when you arrive at Ariano Irpino, unforgettable food, and a very warm, friendly, and attentive service. A unique experience for the 65 guests who traveled from Spain. We'll definitely be back!
