09/10/2025: On our way back from Sicily, curious to see the town of Scilla, we stopped for lunch at Pippo's; a welcoming place with a traditional, friendly, and helpful owner. We ordered a swordfish platter and "fileja," a typical Calabrian seafood fusilli. Excellent quality, generous portions, and we enjoyed it at a seafront table with a breathtaking view! Prices were absolutely in line, almost below average, with the quality of the food. We'll definitely be back...excellent!

08/10/2025: Simply fantastic. Located at the end of the beach. Warm and uncomplicated. The food is amazing and fresh. The restaurant is highly recommended. We ate like kings. Thank you, a lovely family. We'll be back tomorrow before we leave. Iris and René

25/09/2025: Swordfish sandwich with fried shrimp, calamari, and small fish for $10 If you're in Scilla, you shouldn't miss this culinary experience. Exceptional

25/09/2025: The swordfish sandwich and fried fish were excellent!!! The guys were friendly and efficient. If you're in the area, go try it; it's definitely worth it.

19/10/2025: This was one of the best meals we've had in Italy! The setting can't be beat - you're right over the water with a direct view of the castle, and the menu offers much more than pizza. The anitpasta seafood board was generously portioned and had a variety of tasty samplings. My wife had the roasted swordfish for dinner, and I had the swordfish panuozzo. Both were delicious in their own distinct way. We felt very welcome despite limited Italian language skills, and the price was very reasonable for such great quality food. We hope to return someday!

29/10/2025: The warm plate was actually cold ( potatoes with pancetta and some cheese on top). The only "ok" thing was some tuna bruschette with tuna from a can. I wouldn't recommend it for food.

30/10/2025: The view is beautiful!, But the food is like really boring. Like food from yesterday. I was really looking forward to eating something fresh from the sea but it tasted like yesterday.

15/10/2025: A fantastic place. A smiling team. Professionalism in every detail. Even when it's fully booked, you can have your order delivered to your table in a matter of seconds. Delicious pizzas, sandwiches, panini, and bruschetta. Delicious drinks. I recommend ordering the typical Italian Negroni. A real hit. Lots of local customers. The prices are amazing!

After many years, the Derby dello Strait returns: Come on Messina, but welcome our cousins, children of my origins and of that surname (with the FIUMARA di MURO license plate) of which I will always be proud!! I love SCILLA, I was supposed to settle there, but there are those who didn't want it! I miss you, give my regards to the entire staff🥰

21/10/2025: Great spot for lunch. Was a busy lunchtime and was happy to get a table for one as later on people were having to wait for a table. Great service and good food. Swordfish carpaccio was great. Prawn risotto was good - although not heavy on the prawns! Checking out everyone else’s orders and there were definitely some other dishes I’d like to try another time including fresh lobster from the tanks in the window. Not the cheapest option in town but really lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff.

20/10/2025: A very beautiful and characteristic little restaurant carved into the rock... with an open aquarium where you can choose your favorite fish or lobster. The house appetizer was very good, as was the grilled meat. The only downside was the seafood risotto, which was practically completely tasteless. Prices are a bit too high.

23/08/2025: We had a quiet and pleasant evening. The pizza was excellent. It was the perfect place to spend time with family or friends. The waiter was very friendly, with his jokes and, above all, unobtrusive. The young woman who served the tables was also good and polite, along with her colleague! We'll be back, very polite!

13/08/2025: "Mordi & Fuggi" in Scilla was highly recommended to us by the locals! We had a wonderful time; the dishes were excellent, made with local, top-quality ingredients! Peppe was very helpful, kind, and friendly! From the Calabrian platter to the swordfish sandwich, to the dessert and digestif, everything was superb! Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

29/10/2025: I don't often write restaurant reviews, but we had the best meal of our holiday here – almost fine dining, and at very reasonable prices. The historic building is truly a gem among Scilla's already beautiful architecture, and dining on the airy terrace overlooking the sea is particularly lovely. But what really made the evening special was the incredibly warm and welcoming sommelier, who guided us through the evening with charm and humor and clearly knows his stuff – even if you only order a single wine by the glass! Thank you for a wonderful last evening in Calabria. We'll be back!

24/10/2025: On our walk through the beautiful Chianalea neighborhood, we discovered this restaurant. It can be a bit annoying to climb a long staircase to reach the wonderful terrace overlooking the sea, but the effort is worth it because the views from there are magnificent. The entire restaurant is tastefully decorated. This carefully curated setting helped us achieve a very high level of gastronomic pleasure. We found the swordfish steaks to be very well seasoned and full of flavor. The tomato and burrata salad was a perfect accompaniment. The tomatoes tasted real, which is hard to find. Pizzo's truffle was perfectly cooked: we thought it was delicious. We paired the meal with a very smooth Greco Calabrian white wine. Both the maitre d' and the rest of the staff were impeccable in their work.

28/09/2025: We went to the village tavern in early September. The food was good but nothing special, and the portions were small for the price. The location and view were beautiful.

17/10/2025: We camw across this restaurant by accident. At the far end of the beach at Scilla. The atmosphere was vwry authenyic. Staff were genuine and welcoming. The food was outstanding. The best meal i have had in a very long time. Unfortunately it was our last day as i would have gone back ! All 4 od our party felt the same ..stunning.
