02/11/2025: This didn’t happen today, but on September 15th - I’m only writing now, when emotions have cooled down. Still, the experience was very disappointing. I completely understand the restaurant was full and we were willing to wait for a table. However, the waiter was extremely rude and arrogant, and refused to let my 6-year-old daughter use the toilet until we were seated. That’s basic human decency, especially when it concerns a small child. No matter how good the food might be, such an attitude is UNACCEPTABLE!

19/10/2025: This was one of the best meals we've had in Italy! The setting can't be beat - you're right over the water with a direct view of the castle, and the menu offers much more than pizza. The anitpasta seafood board was generously portioned and had a variety of tasty samplings. My wife had the roasted swordfish for dinner, and I had the swordfish panuozzo. Both were delicious in their own distinct way. We felt very welcome despite limited Italian language skills, and the price was very reasonable for such great quality food. We hope to return someday!

16/03/2026: An authentic place that delights with flavor and quality. The menu is short, and that's a good thing, because there's nothing to overthink. We had the frittura di pesce, grilled swordfish, and spaghetti with pistachio pesto and shrimp—all delicious! I'm delighted, because among the multitude of touristy restaurants, this one shines with authenticity. Complimenti ragazzi!

21/12/2025: We ordered some crispelle to go, truly delicious! They make them on Sundays at 12:00, hot and fluffy. The ones with sun-dried tomatoes, zucchini, and olives are delicious. The place is well-kept. The staff is friendly and welcoming!

29/10/2025: I don't often write restaurant reviews, but we had the best meal of our holiday here – almost fine dining, and at very reasonable prices. The historic building is truly a gem among Scilla's already beautiful architecture, and dining on the airy terrace overlooking the sea is particularly lovely. But what really made the evening special was the incredibly warm and welcoming sommelier, who guided us through the evening with charm and humor and clearly knows his stuff – even if you only order a single wine by the glass! Thank you for a wonderful last evening in Calabria. We'll be back!

24/10/2025: On our walk through the beautiful Chianalea neighborhood, we discovered this restaurant. It can be a bit annoying to climb a long staircase to reach the wonderful terrace overlooking the sea, but the effort is worth it because the views from there are magnificent. The entire restaurant is tastefully decorated. This carefully curated setting helped us achieve a very high level of gastronomic pleasure. We found the swordfish steaks to be very well seasoned and full of flavor. The tomato and burrata salad was a perfect accompaniment. The tomatoes tasted real, which is hard to find. Pizzo's truffle was perfectly cooked: we thought it was delicious. We paired the meal with a very smooth Greco Calabrian white wine. Both the maitre d' and the rest of the staff were impeccable in their work.

03/03/2026: A very pleasant, uncomplicated place right by the sea. Good pizza, fritto misto, chocolate angel wings, and wine – all at reasonable prices. The service is friendly and relaxed; we felt truly welcome there.

17/01/2026: Everything was good and the waiter was kind, the prices were excellent, it's a shame they don't have pizza with sausage and a swordfish sandwich.

24/02/2026: Incredibly high-quality fish preparation! The best thing to do: ask the owner to serve what he thinks is best, in other words, trust him and enjoy the best restaurant in Scilla.

16/02/2026: Had the swordfish slice which was good, but came only with a carrot garnish. And bread, but no olive oil or butter.

15/03/2026: The place is worth it, but the food leaves much to be desired. The fish was frozen and very poorly cooked. The service was good. A real shame. Not recommended.

13/03/2026: Thank you so much for your hospitality. The lunch was spectacular and the experience excellent, further enhanced by the service provided by a delightful person (she even let us pick a small piece of a succulent to try planting it 😉).
