07/01/2026: Today I stopped into this pastry shop for the first time to buy some nougat (which I've yet to try). Seeing a display case packed with fresh pastries, I decided to buy four mini torciglioni to have breakfast at home with a coffee.
Unfortunately, I have to admit that the torciglioni were terrible: they had a strong smell of oil, and when tasted, they were not only very greasy, but—even worse—they had a distinct taste of used oil, probably used for frying for a long time.
From this experience, I reported a strong acidity and burning sensation in my esophagus throughout the day. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this seemed rather serious for a pastry shop that has been in business since 1964.
The owner who served me was very kind and helpful; so I hope that, after this review, she can take charge of the situation and ensure that I never find, display, and especially sell, inedible pastries again.
The quality and freshness of the ingredients, along with the care taken in their preparation, should be the cornerstone of a pastry shop of this caliber. I hope to return in the future and find pastries that live up to its reputation.

You can also rent umbrellas and loungers, otherwise it's a free beach.
The lunch menu features fabulous fish sandwiches (check out the photos on Instagram for a treat), of which I recommend the swordfish + dried tomatoes or the octopus + stracciatella.
The quality of the ingredients is fresh, and the combination of flavors is very delicate.
They also offer tartare and fried fish.
While I have absolutely no complaints about the quality-price ratio of the food (although perhaps the only high one is the tuna tartare), I think the service charge and lounger/umbrella rental fee should be reviewed (at the nearby beach clubs, which are exclusively equipped, the cost is 10 euros).
But this is truly a minor flaw in a genuine setting, with helpful and welcoming staff, on a stretch of coastline that rivals the Caribbean Sea!
18/09/2025: Lido Oltremare is a true gem by the sea! 🌊 The food is simply incredible: from the freshest fish sandwiches to the flavorful friselle, to the truly surprising pinza. Each dish exudes the care and attention paid to the selection of ingredients, all of which are of excellent quality.
The staff is always courteous and helpful, making you feel immediately at ease. The prices are also truly fair, especially considering the quality and freshness of the products offered.
A place that combines good food, hospitality, and a relaxing atmosphere: highly recommended!

10/01/2026: A splendid restaurant focused on elegant cuisine, yet never ephemeral or superficial. Careful selection of fresh, high-quality ingredients is showcased on the plate without frills. In short, the best possible celebration of Calabrian cuisine, presented in a modern and authentic way. We loved the Russian salad, the octopus, and the grouper. The wine list could perhaps be updated with labels from small local producers.

01/11/2025: Terrible service, slow and poorly managed. It's unthinkable for someone to arrive at 8:00 PM to eat and be served at 9:00 PM when there weren't even that many people. Plus, half the items on the menu weren't available.
When we were supposed to order and were ready, the waitress made us wait because she still had to set all the tables (setting means simply putting out a paper placemat). So she made us wait just to take our order.
Then I chose meat and had to go inside to choose it from the counter. Too bad the butcher was serving customers and made me wait. When he could have taken 30 seconds to ask me what I wanted and cut the steak, that's enough. Plus, I had to remind him of my table number, otherwise he wouldn't have even gotten it.
Then when the side dishes arrived (served as appetizers, I don't know why), we still hadn't received water or wine. And only after asking the waitress for water did it arrive, and very slowly did the wine arrive.
Overall, the food was good, but not spectacular. It's a shame that the selection seemed extensive, but once we arrived, it was very limited.
The prices are reasonable for what you get.
Terrible service. If I had to give one piece of advice, it would be to close the butcher shop when you want to serve food and just run the restaurant, with faster and better waiters.

However, beware of the staff's language barrier – communicating in English is difficult. Furthermore, payment is made at a pay-as-you-go machine, which charged us 35 euros more for a large bill.

25/08/2025: There are a few outdoor tables for dining in, but despite the fair and the holiday, we managed to find a seat. The pizzas and arancini were truly excellent. We chose the place for the gluten-free pizza, which was truly delicious.
